When Paige MacKenzie arrives in Jackson Hole, her only goal is to complete a simple newspaper assignment about the Old West. However, it’s not long before her instincts tell her there’s more than a basic story to be found in the popular, northwestern Wyoming mountain area. A chance encounter with attractive cowboy Jake Norris soon has Paige chasing a legend of buried treasure, passed down through … through generations.
From the torn edge of a water-damaged map to the mysterious glow of an antler arch, Paige will follow clues high into the mountainous terrain and deep into Jackson’s history. Side-stepping a few shady characters who are also searching for the same hidden reward, she will have to decide who is trustworthy and who is not.

Interesting description of Jackson, Wyoming.
I love books that teach you something while enteraining you. I will read more in the series.
Slightly other-worldly but not so much that it was unbelievable in the context. Characters are strong and well developed.
Good read!
Believably spellbinding!
Good depiction of area
It entertaining. It gave a lot of information about the Jackson Whole area and the Gand Tetons. Made wish I was back there again when I visited 42 years ago. It was a much calmer place then. Good read overall.
Good premise, and initially I was drawn in. However, it seemed to slow down, I think because of the lengthy descriptions, and it was difficult to sustain interest in the story. The writer does a good job helping us see the characters and surroundings, but it seemed to me too much detail for a thriller.
Sort of strange but raised lots of questions.
did not hold my interest
Time travel was interesting.
I tried on 3 separate occasions to get into the plot and read the book and just could not. The author is very descriptive of coffees bought, landscape/surroundings, buildings/rooms, but I did not get any attachment to the characters. After reading for three sessions, I gave up trying to get immersed in the plot.
In the past, I never gave up …
This book had a twist I didn’t see coming; actually it had a few twists I didn’t see coming. It was a good, entertaining read. I’d like to read more by the same author.
I was reading because I like stories about the northwestern states. Besides being well written, had a fun twist of time travel.
Not a favorite but read it all the way through. It did not pull me back to read when I put it down.
Great book and love the the bit of time travel in it. Loved the Teton back ground as we visited that area a few years ago and I felt I was part of the adventure. When I get through with some of my other books I will get the sequels to to “Above the Bridge”.
Gave interesting view of current as well as historical west. Enjoyed the read.
The plot was so predictable that I stopped reading by page 50.
I enjoyed the book especially after I had just spent two days in Jackson Hole Wyoming in June. Some of the names of restaurants, places and buildings were familiar as well as the Antler arches. Also the Tetons that were mentioned and references to Jenny lake etc. However, I did find the story to be a little over the top when Paige was …
Time travel was not believable in this story. I would have preferred for the professional journalist to have solved the case by employing her research skills and through interesting interviews with the locals.
