When Paige MacKenzie arrives in Jackson Hole, her only goal is to complete a simple newspaper assignment about the Old West. However, it’s not long before her instincts tell her there’s more than a basic story to be found in the popular, northwestern Wyoming mountain area. A chance encounter with attractive cowboy Jake Norris soon has Paige chasing a legend of buried treasure, passed down through … through generations.
From the torn edge of a water-damaged map to the mysterious glow of an antler arch, Paige will follow clues high into the mountainous terrain and deep into Jackson’s history. Side-stepping a few shady characters who are also searching for the same hidden reward, she will have to decide who is trustworthy and who is not.

Although it was an interesting concept, I was somewhat put off by the protagonist’s stalking behavior. It was creepy and made her unlikeable. I felt her excursion into the paranormal needed better development to become believable. Inspite of all of that, it held my interest enough to keep reading,
Fun story with time traveler component. Setting easily recognized. Characters shallow. Quick read.
It was okay, but beings I’m from Wy0ming I think the Author got some of her facts wrong, but all in it was an okay read.
I couldn’t finish this book. It seemed too contrived. And to have a big plot twist that you can blatantly manipulate just made me want to stop reading. But I have read others by this author that I liked, so don’t give up on her!
It was a great quick read. Interesting plot and characters.
Quick read, not really worth the time. Everything kind of falls into place after her time travels back to the “Wild,Wild West”. Really!!
I enjoyed the book until I got to the part where she magically goes back in time which was a spoiler for me.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. Anyone reading this will truly enjoy.
A predictable story. No surprises in this one right up to the end. Three quarters of this book the reader is “told” the story versus engaged in action with the players of the time travel tale. I found it difficult to read it to the end wanting to give it a chance to give me a surprise and a “gotcha” ending.
Paige did a great job gathering all the facts. You had to keep reading to see what would happen next. I loved the way she went back in time to search for answers! Great read!
The idea of the story was good, but it moved really slow. I didn’t like that time travel was added in.
I thought this was a great read! Very different and page-turning
To me this book was a sleeper as they say in movies talk. The title was interesting so I started reading it. What a refreshing surprise! The heroine and the hero were not jumping into bed in chapter two. I don’t want to give the plot away but if you want a book that is a good book to spend a weekend on, this is it! It even made me want to …
Some parts a little far fetched, but overall a good read.
Enjoyed it. Not your run on the mill mystery.
Light reading, perfect for vacation book.
** spoiler alert ** Pleasant reading; seemed a bit slow getting started. The bit of last minute time shifting never explained. While the “cozy mystery” genre is okay, the books I have read in this category are pretty light weight. Great for a quick, easy read while on a trip, but definitely not top notch.
boring
It’s very rare for me to not finish a book. Unfortunately, I had to stop reading this one. It was chock full of long, unnecessary prose, and completely unrealistic business e-mails. I got so distracted I couldn’t go on.
Kinda fun, kinda unexpected. Easy to escape into another world where mystery unfolds and time travel seems plausible.
Jackson Hole is a wonderful place to visit and this novel brought back the great memories.
