When Paige MacKenzie arrives in Jackson Hole, her only goal is to complete a simple newspaper assignment about the Old West. However, it’s not long before her instincts tell her there’s more than a basic story to be found in the popular, northwestern Wyoming mountain area. A chance encounter with attractive cowboy Jake Norris soon has Paige chasing a legend of buried treasure, passed down through … through generations.
From the torn edge of a water-damaged map to the mysterious glow of an antler arch, Paige will follow clues high into the mountainous terrain and deep into Jackson’s history. Side-stepping a few shady characters who are also searching for the same hidden reward, she will have to decide who is trustworthy and who is not.

Very good and entertaining
Couldn’t put book down. I really enjoyed the book. Got me involved in characters.
Too unrealistic. Spoiled what might have otherwise been a good story.
I want to hike the trails along with the characters!
A decent read. Enjoyed the setting as well as some plot twists.
It brought back many memories of our trip to Jackson Hole many years ago. I could picture it all!
Fast and fun story
I did not feel this book was worth finishing. It had a good plot at the start then part way thru it went to a space Odessey traveling back in time to a dance hall
after the heroine walks under an antler.
Totally lost all credibility. What a waste.
I liked the book until the major character went on a time travel. It really changed my opinion of the book.
My biggest complaint about this book is the far fetched notion of the heroine travelling back 100 years magically.
This book caught my attention because I love Jackson Hole. However, there was so little dialog and way too much description of every little thing, I soon grew bored and stopped reading it.
The descriptions of the area where the book was set was very picturesque that I relaxed completely each time I started reading.
Too slow plot development
When I started reading Above the Bridge, reading the descriptions of the Jackson Hole area, I went to the web to saw what she was writing about. From there it was great to read and understand the land she was describing as she climbed the mountain trails to tell the story. Thank you for the romantic trip to the mountains.
Except for the time traveling, I found this book to be totally delightful.
I really enjoyed this book. Loved the setting, The unexpected time travel was awesome. I liked the characters. The only thing missing was a pet.
I liked the setting and the attention to details. It was like a realistic fiction story with many real places around the Great Tetons.
Good description of Jackson Hole and the Tetons. Interesting plot that tied together history and present day settings.
I enjoyed this mystery that is a little magical. Loved the setting, as Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is one of my favorite places to visit.
This was my first book by Deborah Garner but it definitely wasn’t my last. I’ve read the whole series and several others by her. Love the way she writes, it makes you feel like you’re right there in Jackson Hole and Moose, WY with the characters. If you ‘ve ever been to this area, you will understand. Couldn’t put it down and couldn’t get enough. …
