Emily Finland, twenty-five, college graduate, hot mess, lover of all things cheese. Hasn’t had a date in a year. Yeah, that’s not something I would put in a dating profile. Ever. In fact, I can’t be bothered to date. There are so many awful guys out there. I much prefer to Netflix and chill with a pizza. But of course, my busybody best friend Charlotte was having none of that. She persuaded me to … to go on a blind date and even though I was reluctant, I decided to go. I never expected to meet a man like Liam Montgomery.
Liam Montgomery, forty, rich, cocky, wears a rolex, likes expensive whiskey, completely out of my league. He was not who I would have chosen to have gone on a blind date with. Just because he was gorgeous didn’t mean he would make a good boyfriend. Plus he was way too old for me. That didn’t stop me from flirting with him though. Or from spending one very long exciting night with him. I’m not going to tell anyone about that night. Ironically, it turned out that Liam hadn’t even been my intended date. Oops!
Unfortunately for me, hot mess Emily, the biggest shock of my life was still to come. For while Liam and I should never have been, he’s not about to leave my life quite that easily. You see I’m celebrating my dad’s retirement with my folks and Liam is also there. Only this time, he’s not alone.

Loved reading the book. Drama, Love, Heartbreak, Lies, Action and Steamy scenes. A great story line between Matteo and Emily. How the Mafia guy turns all marshmallow for the younger girl. The story goes a bit fast, could have more details and more chapters. The scenes between the 3 best friend is entertaining. A few grammar and spelling mistakes. But other than that, the book was good!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed reading About Last Night. Loved the characters of Emily and Matteo. They are super hot together and Emily doesn’t take none sexiness attempts at first

I enjoyed Emily and Matteo’s story. I jumped into this book and was hooked from the start. It all started with a blind date and boy did things get interesting. It was funny and hot and I wanted to know what would happened next. .. Emily was a bit naive and childish in the beginning, it annoyed me. Her character definitely had to grow on me and eventually it did. Matteo was blunt and oh so sexy with his words. I mean panty melting sexy. This was a good, quick and solid read, I wanted more… I can’t wait for Anabel and Luca’s story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. Technically this is book two of the series of friends but can be read as a standalone. This book definitely leaves you ready for the next book.
Emily’s best friend sets her up on a blind date which leads to a very unforgettable one night stand with an older man. After talking to her friends she realizes that he wasn’t even her real date and now she has no idea how to reach that amazing man.
Matteo can’t believe his luck. How is the woman who he hasn’t been able to quit thinking about at Mr. Finland’s house. Is this some sort of set up? Only one way to get her talking.
This book was all kinds of hot. I’m loving these 3 best friends. This book left a lot to look forward to in the next book and I can’t wait.
Book two in the series of three besties. We have Emily who has been single for over a year since an anniversary break up from her former flame. Charlotte has been living a life of love with Max . She sets Emily up on a blind date which she feels compelled to go to. It is there that she meets wrong date Liam/Matteo.
What happens after one night is more mayhem, deception and steam. Can’t wait for Anabels story. I am volunteering to leave a review for this book
About Last Night
By J.S. Cooper
Main Characters: Emily and Liam
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
4 out of 5 stars
This is a contemporary romance and a one night stand. This started out witty between both characters. I am not a big fan of one night stands, however, I did enjoy this book and look forward to reading more by this author.
I’m a big fan of J.S Cooper, I have never been disappointed. I loved Emily and Matteos story, a blind date gone wrong. Twist and turns that will keep you on your toes. Can’t wait to read Anabels story.
About Last Night is the 2nd in this series following three friends and love they found. Mistaken identity, busybody friends, parents you wish you can trade in and a journey that takes you to new heights.
This one follows Emily has she goes on a blind date that her friend Charlotte insisted setting-up for her. Unbeknownst to Emily the date will change her life forever. Emily hasn’t been on a date since her boyfriend dumped her on their 1 year anniversary as he wanted to date other women. After running to be on time out of breath a little sweaty she takes a deep breath as she enters the swanky bar where she is to meet her date for the evening. Thinking he might be ugly or worst no picture to recognize him at least she can get meal and drinks at his expense. Greeted by the hostess Emily forgets her dates name saying the wrong names the hostess in a cold tone tells her to step aside. Then she remembers Peter yes it’s Peter but the hostess tells her no one here by that name Emily quickly scans the room and spots a man waving at her and she informs the hostess there he is. Hostess with doubt in her voice, are you sure? Emily smiles and walks to his table with assured steps and sits down and apologizes for being late and proceeds to put her foot in her mouth as she continues to talk to the Adonis of a man older but still a Adonis with purest blue eyes she has ever seen. Her date finds her amusing, intriguing and beautiful in all the right places. Tho she Emily is constantly telling her date he’s older then what she usually dates. He informs her that he can give her about 15 reasons that the Italian stallion will ruin her for any other men. And the first reason is while they are sitting at the table in the bar ……14 more to go . This is the beginning of the journey neither very expected. “I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
I loved book one in this series and I couldn’t wait to read Emily’s story and I was so happy that I did. It was great. I loved it. Emily and Matteo, who she only knew as Liam when she first met him, were so good together. They met when Emily thought he was her blind date and they spent one mind blowing night. She didn’t think that she would see him again but she does in the last place she expected, her parents’ house. I loved them together because they had great chemistry between them. It was hot and intense. This story will elate you wanting more. I highly recommend this read.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
About Last Night was worth the wait because Matteo and Emily were a match made in rabbit heaven. House she humanized him in a lot of ways. How a one night stand turned into so much more than either of them expected. A wrong blind date turned into so many rights in the end. I can’t wait for the third book.
Finished Reading Add a date
Review This book has a great story line. I loved so many things about it. I didn’t love how I felt like it was a little rushed and everything happened so fast. There was quite a bit of unneeded story between the girls. This was a great story line and it even had some suspense about some things. The parents issue is were and not explained well.
I do recommend this book if you’re looking for a story about friends that have each other’s backs, which I loved Emily, Anabel and Charolette’s relationship. Then you have Liam,Matteo and he’s the bad older boy that Emily had a great night with but he is not who she thought he was. One night stands should stay one night stands but it doesn’t seem like Emily’s will be that way.
I will still read this authors books (less)
Emily is being set up on a blind date by her friend Charlotte and she reluctantly agrees. There she meets to gorgeous, blue eyed older man who she believes is her date. At that point this is where the story takes this crazy amazing turn of events! The story is action packed, fast paced taking you from one intrigue to the other flawlessly! Our main characters Mateo and Emily have this intense scorching chemistry and her sassiness makes her the perfect heroine. This hold no bar friendship these girls have is so interesting, Charlotte, Anabel and Emily are the perfect mix of crazy, funny heroines! We see a glimpse of Anabel’s past and I can’t wait to read her story. I honestly volunteered to review this story.
Emily and Matteo met on a blind date that Emily’s friend set her up with. They share a steamy night together, which is so out of character for Emily – especially since she hasn’t dated in over a year. Turns out that Matteo was not supposed to be the blind date and there is a connection between them they were not aware of. Can these two find their way to be together or will they just share the one night? Grab this story today. I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am gladly leaving this review.
I really enjoyed reading this book. From the moment that I started I knew that there was something about this book that drew me in. It moves along at a great pace, which is neither too fast nor too slow, making for a comfortable read. The characters are interesting and no matter what you cannot help but fall in love with them. The story will grab you and keep you turning pages all the way from the beginning to the very end. This is a must read, there is no doubt about it.
I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc.
Charlotte Emily’s friend fixed her up on a blind date that she didn’t want to go. Emily goes to the restaurant and sees a man sitting alone she waved to him and he waved back. Sitting at the table she kept telling him that she only dated younger guys and he seemed much older. After a couple of go rounds he decided to sleep with her if she was up to it. Emily had no idea that Liam was other blind date until the next morning after they slept together. Emily’s father told her he was retiring and moving to Florida. When Emily goes to her parents house and finds out that her father owes money to the mafia from some bad bets he made. The party was in full swing when Emily noticed two guys standing by her father. Standing by her dad she started to ask questions when one of the guys said the boss was there. Emily turned around to see Liam walk in with a beautiful women when he saw her he was surprised. Liam (Matteo) told Emily to forget what happened the night they slept together and she was not to know him. He gave her his card and told her call him and she wanted to kill him right there. Emily and Charlotte walk over to Matteo and started to speak with the women he was with who didn’t appreciate Emily approaching her. Matteo asked where the bathroom was and dragged Emily into the bathroom. They had a fast interlude and then he left and told her to call him that night. Matteo goes and tells Emily he was an FBI agent but when Lucia walked in on the two of them and proceeded to upset Emily. Alarm bells were going off in Emily’s head and she kept asking him question. About who he really was and why was he talking to Luca or Special Agent in the FBI when it dawned on her that it was Luca. Her family had fled with the diamonds they were after and Emily had no idea where they went. Twists, turns, deceit and lies make this a good book.
About Last Night?
OMG! Wowza! This book was so captivating and it lures you in right from the beginning. I love Charlotte, Anabel, and Emily…these chicks are seriously the best trio of friends ever…definitely ride and die type of girls. Emily falls for the sexy older man named Liam but come to find out that he is in fact Matteo and he is trouble with a capital “T”!!! The sparks that burst from their hot encounters could literally set the world on fire; so incredibly HOT!!! Though, Matteo is big on honesty he seems to be lying to Emily at every turn, and Emily has a bit of the naivety when it comes to him and her blinders seem to be late to the party.
The story is hot and sizzles from the very beginning until the very end.
*This is my honest opinion as an ARC reviewer.
WOW! I loved it! There is no way I could’ve predicted where this story was going. You must read this ASAP!
Emily doesn’t know how complicated her life is about to get after having a one night stand with her blind date. First he wasn’t even her blind date at all. Then then can’t stop thinking about her night with the mysterious, sexy, and skilled Liam. Emily wishes she’d given him her number. Then he shows up at her father’s retirement party with another woman and wants to make a deal with her.
Boy oh boy are you in for a big twisting and turning ride.
Interesting story! Emily has not been on a date in over a year when her best friend convinces her to give it a try. Emily enjoys her night with “Liam” before waking up to a text to learn he was not her intended date to start with. They decide to call it a one night stand, but fate had other plans. I loved trying to figure out exactly who Liam was and exactly what was going to happen next. Everyone needs best friends that are willing to drop everything to have your back. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I was given a book to leave an honest review I have to say I’ve been a fan of this author for years even with a couple typos or the wrong character names in places this is by far one of the best books with an awesome ending that keeps you wanting to read to find out what happens and I can’t wait to read Anabel’s story
I have been getting teaser newsletters regarding About Last Night so I was absolutely beside myself when I was given an advanced copy. They way this one starts off you think it is going to be flighty and fun but the storyline changes to something I wasnt expecting but absolutely loved.
A story of lust at first side, older hero with awesome side charters
