Just a second. That was all it took. In that second Anita Sherwood sees the face of the young boy in the window of the bus as it stops at the curb…and she knows it is her son. The son who had been kidnapped two years before. The son who had never been found and who had been declared legally dead. But now her son is alive. Anita knows it in her heart. She is certain that the boy is her son, but … but how can she get anyone to believe her? She’d given the police leads before that ended up going nowhere, so they’re not exactly eager to waste much time on another dead end on a dead case. It’s going to be up to Anita, and she’ll stop at nothing to get her son back.

I figured it out before the end but it was very suspenseful. Great read!!!
A splendid thriller with excellent plot twists. Edge of your seat reading.
Really enjoyed this book!! I’m going to try to find some of his other books to read.
Great imagination and scary to read as a parent even though my kids are grownups
Scary to think a spouse would commit such evil — that love turned to hate but we see this in true life every day. Riveting but didn’t like the main character much–even though I empathized with her I thought she was selfish and self centered.
Great ending….
I couldn’t put this book down! If you like thrillers you will love this book!
Fast paced from the get go…never saw the ending coming..a real surprise! I enjoyed it a lot.
I enjoyed this book very much. Didn’t expect the ending so that was great. Definitely a good read
Very improbable….
Very nicely written. Wow, the evil that can be in a person is truly amazing. I was shocked at the near end to find out who the kidnapper and killer was. This is really a great mystery.
Well written, kept my interest, would recommend to everyone for its twists and turns.
A page turner!!
Kept me on the edge of my seat. Couldn’t put it down.
Wow! This book was fantastic. I love a good twist that shocks you! Couldn’t put it down.
This was a page turner for me. I read it almost in one sitting, and the culprit in the story was a big surprise until almost the end of the book. It kept my interest, and I just kept reading, on vacation, until I finished it. It’s rare these days for me to find a book I can’t put down, but this one filled the bill.
Totally unexpected..
The story drew me in from the very beginning. I couldn’t put it down. I just couldn’t imagine who would have committed this crime. I expected the nanny to run odd with Tim but not kill him. However by the time i reached the conclusion I was angry with myself and the author for wasting my time on such an unrealistic ending. There were too many convenient details that all fell into place. Poor Roy, his death was unnecessary. The girlfriend would never have taken good care of Tim for 6 months and Anita saved the day all by herself? So unbelievable and not smart on her part.
Keeps you guessing and you’d never guess.
I thought the unexpected twists and turns put in the story were totally surprising. A good read.
