Abducted by Magic is a slow burn reverse harem read that ends with a gripping cliff-hanger and leaves you wanting more. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment to see what happens next.
I really loved this book, fast paced, full of action, well written and a really good storey line.
Talk about starting with a bang – this book kicks off with the death of Samara and her transference of power. Power that if was lost could destroy her people but the human she passes the power on to has no clue that another world full of magic even exists.
Katarina is suddenly thrown into a life of mayhem, magic, deceit. 4 Sexy Gargoyles are supposed to be protecting her however, one is grumpy and initially hostile towards her, another is protective from the start, one is drowning his sorrows and last one is missing. So on top of everything else she has to deal with their grief over the loss of Samara along with fighting her attraction to them.
Abducted by Magic this is a slow burn reverse harem series, this book ends on a cliff hanger and I really cant wait for the next book.
There is a short storey – Consumed by Magic and a prequel novella Destroyed by Magic which don’t need to be read to enjoy this book but they do add context.
This was a great book. The characters are wonderful, the different worlds are interesting, the mystery and intrigue sucked me. The chemistry between the characters is well developed and truly enjoyed reading the book.
The combination of Elena Gray and Kelli McCracken is a fruitful one. The book was interesting and unique. The character development is good for the first book in a series. The world building is very good and engaging. The heroine is Kat. she’s easy to like and I enjoyed the guardians of her harem being gargoyles. Definitely worth the read and I’ll probably go back and pick up the prequel too.
I am falling in love with this story. The prequel really helps in understanding this book. Reading it then reading this draws pieces together that you wouldn’t if you only read this one. I love the mystery throughout it with Samara‘s death and who is after Katarina. The characters have amazing personalities that you can easily feel throughout the story. Yes, I would love a little more information about their world and how it works but I am feeling that as the storyline progresses more will become clearer. The chemistry between the characters is a sweet and slow burn but definitely feels right. It is extremely well written and is definitely a must read. It draws you in and doesn’t let you go. It keeps you guessing with twists and turns throughout it. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next.
Katarina West just got a promotion at work and is celebrating with her friends. She gets the urge to leave. When she goes to leave, she bumps into a dying woman who does something to her. She wakes up feeling different and her life changed completely.
This is a paranormal, action/adventure romance and is the first book in the Guardians of Magic series. This is a reverse harem book. The characters are well crafted, interesting and with distinctive personalities complete with strengths and foibles. I found them engaging and they seemed to come to life off the pages. While I have read a lot of books about witches, some of the other paranormals are less written about. The story is told from multiple character’s point of view, allowing access to their personal thought, emotions, motivations and actions. In addition, you get to know more than one character better, adding interest and complexity to the story. This book flow along quickly, filled with action, danger, romance, surprises and suspense. The narrative gives a great description of the action and story setting allowing the reader to develop a great visual imagery. This book is filled with emotional drama as the characters try to resist the chemistry between them and try to come to terms with what is happening to them and around them. This is the first book in the series, so don’t expect the story to be finished, the saga will continue in the next book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
As a rule I am not a big fan of shifter novels but this book pulled me right in as with other books by Kelli. I started reading and just couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed how everything evolved and what we learned about the Coven/witches and gargoyles. The detail was not focused on the characters so much as to build up the world in which they lived. There were some details left to the imagination but not so much as the book didn’t hold my interest.
In this first book we are faced with the death of Samara and her transferring her powers to Kat (a seeming mortal). The Gods guided Samara to Kat who was not a “complete” mortal and was able to use the powers and learn in the process. The Guardians were confused as to the reason that Kat received the powers and why Samara was killed. There were also attempts on Kat’s life!
This book was spectacular and I cannot wait to read the second one! One of the things about Kelli’s work is that she likes to leave us with cliffhangers which leave us wanting more. Overall, this is an awesome read and don’t pass it by if it is not necessarily what you normally would read.
I was offered an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Great story!! A paranormal who done it and I can’t wait to find out who did. There is a wicked sexual tension that is threaded throughout the plot as well – really interested in how this gets resolved. The partnership between Kellie McCracken and Elena Gray is pure magic. I am really looking forward to the next installment!
Katarina West was out with friends, celebrating her promotion at work. As the evening went on she felt more uncomfortable. When she awakens, she is informed that the woman was a witch and she transferred her powers to her, that she is trust the dead woman’s guardians. She meets 2 of the guardians, she starts to have feeling for the both of them.
Katarina is informed the council wants to meet her to determine her guilt and to transfer the power out of her, as she is human. The plan to transfer the powers did not happen, the only other course will not be good for Katarina. Her guardians decided that they need to everything they can to prevent this outcome. They need to find their missing brother and help the other with their grief if they are going to find the dead womans killer and keep Katarina save. Katarina is going to have to accept her past to keep her safe now. How killed the woman and who is after her. Will they find their missing brother in time
The plot twist in this book, keeps you on your toes. Between the guardians and Katarina, the hot and cold between Katarina and the guardians, keeps you engaged. The action also helps keep the book moving.

DYNAMIC DUO STRIKES GOLD!!!
Jaw dropping delight! A rollercoaster of events and circumstances that catapults all the swirling emotions bursting to life spectacularly. All the trials and tribulations, twists and turns, along with a few glitches bring this baby together wonderfully. One thrilling, nailbitng, action packed, hard hitting, page turning, explosive wonder that makes for one impressive ride. The characters personalities has been constantly playing off one another in perfect balance as their connection stands strong. Gray and McCracken did a magnificent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job guys, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
This story pulls you right in, as the first narrator is a witch who has been fatally injured but wants to find someone to pass on her magic to. After this first chapter, the others are narrated by the heroine and her guardians. I normally don’t like first-person point of view, but these authors pulled it off very well. I felt like I was living the story with the narrators. Even though there were quite a few POV characters, the authors managed to give them unique voices and ways of looking at their world. That’s not easy to do in general, and it certainly isn’t easy to do when there are so many! I absolutely adored all the main characters, Katarina and her men. The story was so full of twists and turns. The combination of great characters, well-written prose, and fast-paced action made it a book that was hard to put down. I quite enjoyed it, and I look forward to the rest of the series.
