Recently, a … Recently, a similar party had also attempted to explore the town and was never heard from again. Now the area is believed to be haunted. It was sad and good!
Very well written and suspenseful!
Blake Crouch is one of my favorite authors. After the first season of Wayward Pines on TV, I went straight to the kindle store and purchased quite a few. I enjoyed Abandon as it was different from some of his other work. I like the ease of following the story. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a thriller that keeps you wondering.
Good book but then I like Blake crouch books.
It was an easy to read and entertaining story.
Very scary book. Interesting story line construction. Parallelism between 1893 characters and 2010 characters makes it fascinating. The outcomes to the “innocent” characters are gruesome, though. Don’t read this book before you go to sleep.
I had a hard time getting into this book but it got better. I have to say I was a bit disappointed in it. I had waited a long time for the book to get cheaper so after the long wait I have to admit a bit disappointment.
Okay, so here’s the deal:
This really wasn’t a bad book. It was actually good, but I can’t forgive the author for what he did to one of the best characters. He put her in a nightmare situation with no way out. He gave her the best chance for survival, then he destroyed her and left her no chance of redemption. On one hand, I hate this book, …
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW.
IT WAS GREAT THE ROMANCE BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS WAS AMAZING AND IT WAS ALSO FORBIDDEN IN A WAY . IT ALSO HAD THAT GREEK GOD FEEL IN IT WHERE THERE ARE FURIES AND THE UNDERWORLD. I JUST LOVED HOW MEG MADE IT A LITTLE REALISTIC BY CONVEYING DEATH WHICH IS A STAGE IN LIFE WE WILL ALL REACH . OTHER THAN THAT I LOVED THE SERIES
The Hades and Persephone myth reimagined, the tale of Pierce and her tumultuous relationship with John shows the reader what it could be like to die – and be chosen to be the consort of a death deity. Not that Pierce stays dead, or even realises how complicated her relationship with John really is.
At first the flash backs are a bit confusing, …
I love this book because it has a romantic scene and so much more
Blown away with how eye catching this book is and the story of Pierce. One of the best twist of this story, though it’s not much of a twist, is when Pierce’s grandma happens to be one of the many demons trying to get Pierce. Pierce being an NDE and experiencing the in-between makes it all the more alluring. I highly recommend this book for anyone …
I guess the book turned out to be ok. But there was a lot about this book that I didn’t like. If I hadn’t known otherwise, I’d have thought this was written by a new author. It just seemed to me like the writing was disjointed. The timeline kept jumping from present day to past, which is something that I hate anyway, but in this book, it irritated …
