I am so glad to be back in the Wright world. I have really missed these characters. I am sucker for a second chance romance and throw in a single dad, sign me up.
Isaac and Peyton are getting a second chance at love. After being apart for a long time Peyton runs into Isaac and his daughter. She is home to perform at her old studio. The connections and sparks fly when these two see other again. Will Peyton be able to have her ballet career and have a second chance at love?
Sweet heartwarming story you don’t want to miss.
It was so nice to be back in Lubbock, TX and I really enjoyed the sweet cameos that happened throughout the book. Peyton and Isaac were so lovable and it was a very enjoyable read. Lighthearted and full of Christmas spirit.
This book is fabulous! A perfect read to get you in the holiday spirit! It’s low on angst, but this is K.A. Linde so there’s gotta be at least a little angst. But overall it’s a sweet, swoony second-chance romance.
Peyton and Isaac were each other’s first love, first everything. But they split ways to pursue their dreams. Fate, if you will, has brought them back to the same place many years later. Their chemistry and their feelings for one another has not waned over the years. And it’s easy for them to fall back into each other’s arms.
As a mom to a little ballerina who is currently knee-deep in rehearsals, I loved all the talk about The Nutcracker. And I loved seeing all our favorites from the Wright series, and that extra special cameo, but know that this can be read as a standalone.
This has definitely become one of my fave holiday reads that I’ll read annually. I highly recommend this one if you’re looking for something to give you the warm and fuzzies.
This is a stand alone Christmas romance. We get to have a slight peek back into the Wright world and it was worth it. If you haven’t read the series, The Wright Brothers you must add that to your holiday wish list.
This story focuses on Peyton, a principle dancer from NYC who left her home town of Lubbock and her high school sweetheart 16 years ago. She had the opportunity to come back to help lead in the Nutcracker in her hometown dance studio.
On her first day back she runs right into Isaac her sweetheart she left behind all those years ago. Will they rekindle an old flame?
I truly did love this sweet second chance holiday romance. Definitely needed in 2020 to bring a smile and warmth to your heart. Feel free to make some hot cocoa and snuggle up as you won’t want to put it down.

A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS is a quick, satisfying, get you in the holiday season book. Set in the WRIGHT world, Peyton and Isaac get a second chance at love when she returns to town for the holidays. While this can be read as a stand alone, having read the WRIGHT series, I got a kick out of the cameos.
I love being back in the world of the Wrights. It was fun to be on the periphery and meeting new people.
Peyton Medina is a principal ballerina in the New York City ballet. She has lived dance for the last 16 years. She left Lubbock, her family and her first love behind to pursue her dream. Now she’s back in Lubbock for a few weeks to dance in their production of the Nutcracker. She’s excited to see her family but what she wasn’t prepared for was running into her first love and the feelings it instilled.
Isaac Donoghue was a single dad. Working as a project manager for the prestigious Wright Construction company. He was happy living for his daughter and his work. What he wasn’t ready for was seeing Peyton Medina again.
Watching these two see each other and fall in love and rediscover each other again after being away so long was so fun. Seeing how much they need to each other and how they were fighting their feelings because of their situation. What happens when Peyton finished her stint in Lubbock? Would she return to New York where her life and career is right now? Would Isaac let her walk out of his life again? What sacrifices would be made to make this work?
I love that even though it was a novella, it was the perfect fit for this story. You got a great sense of who they were and who they are now. I love their dynamics and the relationships between them and the supporting characters. It was great to see characters show up from across the Linde book-sphere. Pick up this great quick read!

Now she is back home for a month to dance in the Nutcracker. On her first day in town she runs into Isaac at the ballet studio. It feels like time stands still and all her feelings come rushing back to her. Then she also meets his five year old daughter who has a class at the ballet studio and she totally stole Avery’s heart. I have read a few books by K. A. Linde and I love her books so this was definitely a must read for me. And as you might know I absolutely love holiday stories! They give me all these feelings and make me really happy.
This was such a fun story set in the Wright storyland. We get to see all of our favorite Wrights and a few other bonus characters from Ms. Linde’s newest series. Peyton and Isaac’s story is a great second chance romance. These two were destined for one another since they were high school sweet hearts. Peyton’s career took her away from Isaac, but it also brought her back home. Their chemistry is off the charts and I loved Isaac and his undying love for Peyton. Great story!

It’s been sixteen years since Peyton Medina got into the summer intensive in New York and left her home behind. Having achieved her dream of becoming Principal Dancer in New York, she gets invited back to her hometown to perform as the Sugar Plum Fairy for the whole month. I very much enjoyed reading A Wright Christmas, it was sweet, festive and swoon worthy! I loved the chemistry between the characters, it’s evident that they still care about each other and they still have feelings for one another. But time has changed their lives and now they have to find a way back to each other again. It’s going to take a Christmas miracle for them to have their happily-ever-after. It was nice to see other members of the Wright family in the book as well as Katherine Van Pelt and Camden Percy from The Breaking Season. They all just made the story that much more sweet and fun to read. It will definitely put you in the a holiday spirit. I would highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for the perfect holiday read. I cannot wait to read what K.A. Linde comes up with next! 🙂
**I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.**
K.A. Linde takes us back into the fabulous world of the Wrights with this standalone, second chance, single dad romance and I could not be happier. I swoon for this dreamy Christmas read. Swoooon! This book gave me all the holiday cheers and the heartwarming, happy feels.
It had been 16 years since Peyton left Lubbock to be a prima ballerina in New York. Leaving behind her first love, Isaac Donoghue. Now she’s back to perform in the local production of the Nutcracker. Her first night back she runs into Isaac while he’s picking up his daughter from ballet class. Sparks flew once again.
Peyton and Isaac have insane chemistry right off the bat. It’s like they picked up right where they left off 16 years prior. There wasn’t any awkward distance between them. It felt natural and easy. They just fit.
I can’t even fault Peyton for failing for Isaac. I fell for him as well. He’s such a good guy and a very devoted father to his daughter, Aly. He’s definitely book boyfriend material.
Peyton is also great. She’s sweet, independent and talented. She stepped up in a big way when her friend needed her. You can just tell she has a big heart.
I have to also say, I loved her family. They remind me of my family. Her grandmother is so my Mom. I love the latinx representation. K.A. Linde does a great job incorporating genuine Mexican customs and holiday traditions. She did her research.
A Wright Christmas is a light, cozy, feel good romance that’s perfect for this time of year. I’m so excited to be back in the Wright world. I loved seeing some old favorites and meeting some new, soon-to-be favorites. I can’t wait to continue this series.
I am absolutely in love with this story. Although I had not read the series in a long time, I had no problems following the storyline. It reads fast and is better than any Hallmark movie to get you in the holiday spirit. I am in awe of Linde’s creativity.
Every thing you want in a book. Single dad, second chance romance, heartfelt story, & just a fun read!
Sacrifices are made in every relationship. Peyton chose her passion & Isaac gave her up!
Peyton returns to her home town to find Isaac has a child. Will long distance work? Read to find out!
4.5 Stars
This was so good! You can’t go wrong with a second chance romance during Christmas. The magic of the season is going to work on Isaac and Peyton. Peyton is returning home after 16 years and who does she run into her first day back, but her high school sweetheart. You can easily see they still have feelings for one another and time has just melted away. Things are still the same, but those pesky feelings won’t let up. Issacs’ daughter is so adorable. You could just eat her up. He’s such a great dad. Not gonna lie I was drawn to this book because it’s a single dad romance. Those are my jam! This is the perfect book to get you into the holiday spirit. Some of the scenes especially in NYC just create a magical holiday picture. This is a must read!
A Wright Christmas is a short story taking place during the best holiday ever. Peyton a dancer in the Nutcracker & Isaac a single dad rekindle their relationship from many years ago. . It’s such a. Cute lovey dovey story of two people proving that even though many obstacles get in the way, they can still end up with each other.
Recommend! Love
Amaizing, light, sweet, swoon worthy second chance story, that is going to melt your heart and leave tour heart full of joy. Great Christmas story. The characters are amazing and give the perfect touch to the story. You can read it in a couple of hours as the book keeps your attention in what’s going to happen next and is totally worth it. Highly recommended.
This was my first festive read of the season and it has seriously put me in the mood for Christmas.
Isaac and Peyton were childhood sweethearts and Isaac made the sacrifice 16 years ago to allow Peyton the chance to follow her dream of being a Ballerina. Now she is back in town as a guest dancer for their Christmas production of the Nutcracker.
They have both moved on over the years but soon as they bump into each other the chemistry is ignited again and all the old feelings are starting to resurface.
This was a beautiful sweet holiday romance that had minimal angst and was lovely seeing some of my old favourites from previous books again
“’ . . . . .”
Let’s talk about “A Wright Christmas by K.A. Linde”.
That’s my favorite time of the year, when the Christmas romance books come along. K.A. Linde is a new to me author, so I didn’t really know why to expect of this story. This is a second chance romance and a sports romance too, as soccer and specially ballet takes front place during Christmas.
Peyton Medina left Lubbock to New York 16 years ago, leaving behind her family, the comfort and the love of her life, in order to reach her dream to be a famous ballerina. Now after so many years she is back to her hometown to take front stage in the Nutcracker play.
Isaac Donoghue lost his love to the ballet when teenager, but he would never stay between her and her dream. Than he lost his dream of being a professional soccer player. Back to Lubbock he got married, only to loose his wife at his daughter birth. But it seems that ballet is his destiny, because years later his daughter is in love with the dance and aspire to be just like Peyton.
Peyton and Isaac chemistry was undeniable, and even after so many things in their lives, their love was still there for any one to see. But now both adults, a lot more was at stake. And my heart squeezed over all the fallout between them. I understand but at the same time I was screaming at my kindle, like “wake uppppp” or “do something”.
I love the representation in this book, as Peyton heritage is Mexican and as all the focus on ballet, I seriously ended the book wanting to see a Nutcracker play! It was a well done story and now I want to read more about Wright’s stories in Lubbock!
