Things are looking up in Crystal Springs. Cascade Lorne’s bed and breakfast lodge is up and running, and the town was chosen to host the Winter Solstice Games. Everyone’s ready to welcome the influx of tourists and collect the money they’ll bring with them. Cas is extra excited because the Games are happening on her lodge’s property. But then, athletes start dying, and everything’s in an uproar. … an uproar. Can Cas figure out who the killer is and stop them? Or should she throw in the towel and let her lodge get a bad rep?

This is a paranormal cozy mystery filled with quirky, interesting characters and an interesting mystery. The characters are unique, with both strengths and weaknesses. The mystery was complicated with subtle clues, numerous viable suspects, action, magical situations, danger and suspense. I enjoyed the character interactions and the individual experiences of the main character. I look forward to reading more in this series.
Another good book with mystery and magic and the Winter Solstice games and now a death. How much more can Cas to deal with. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next one.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I just didn’t want the story to end. I just couldn’t get enough of these wonderful characters and I just loved getting to see their journey. I will most definitely be reading more stories from this wonderful author.
The series only gets better with every book.
Amusing, witty, charming & fun this book has it all. I had a great time in Crystal Springs and hope for more soon.

A Witch Too Frozen was exciting. The Winter Solstice Games have arrived in Crystal Springs along with many new games and characters. I do enjoy that Cas is not too old or too good to learn something new as she navigates this new world. Cas is always thinking of others and with that she will always be on the case.

Winter Games Wonderland Gone Awry
I have enjoyed books by Paula Lester in general, and I like this particular series about a woman who was older when she discovered she was a witch. She is still trying to adapt to her new life in so many ways, including running her new business, learning about her abilities, and having to deal with a long-distance relationship with her shifter boyfriend. A boon is supposed to be coming to her town, and particularly to her, in the form of a special winter games festival that will be held on her property. But things start to go awry pretty quickly when athletes are murdered. She’s asked to help and wants to do so. I like these characters that I have gotten to know over the course of this series, especially the heroine. I love it when the heroine of a book is not a sweet young thing! I didn’t feel like there was as much suspense as there has been in other novels, but I still liked seeing the mystery unravel. All in all, if you enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries, you will most likely enjoy this book in a series.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Just keeps getting better! I was surprised at the outcome, mostly! Lol! I just couldn’t backup my suspicions. Good thing I’m not investigating like Cas! I can’t wait to read the next book to see how her story continues.

I’ve read several books written by Paula Lester; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Cas is preparing to host athletes for the Games but a chilling murder may place them-both the athletes and the Games-in jeopardy. Also, she has used so much magic lately, she may have to take her exams too early, which would put her in danger. I am definitely going to read the next novel in this series.

Crystal Springs – a town full of witches was awarded the Winter Solstice Games, and Cas, the main character of the book, is especially excited, as the Games will be held on her property.
But soon trouble starts and some athletes have strange accidents or are murdered.. Cas must find out who is behind the attacks quickly, before the Games start.
A promising beginning to book 5 of the series of cozy mysteries. The story is well developed and intriguing.
The book can be read on its own, but of course it is more in depth when read as part of the series.

There was plenty going on for Cas and the town along with loads of people to keep track of, I liked how you weren’t sure who to trust as well as trying to work out who was sabotaging the games, the players along with who stole an artifact along and who the mysterious Brie W. Loftt is. This keeps you turning the page until the end and when you get to the end you want the next book to see what happens to Cas next!

This book five in the series and I recommend you start with book one. The characters are great and the story line pulls you in quickly. Cascade has just recently discovered that she is a witch. Imagine not finding out until your 50s. Ever since she found out she always seems to be in the middle of one mystery or another.

Awesome book
A great story with a touch of paranormal. No sex or curse words. Games and murders play havoc with Cas and the income the town is counting on. Cas and Echo are determined to find the culprit before they ruin everything.

The Winter Solstice Games bring all sorts of trouble with them to Cold Springs.
Cas also discovers that as a juvenile witch, she has a limited allotment of magic she can use before her test. Very unhelpfully, no one told her.
Rapidly approaching that limit, she discovers high fees associated with being a witch in good standing and is turned away by an emergency when she goes to seek alternatives – and a town disaster pushes her to the brink and likely beyond
What crazy dangers will Cas face next?
Compelling cozy adventure

A Witch Too Frozen is the fifth book in the Crystal Springs Cozy Witch Mystery series and is a wonderful cozy mystery.
I am loving this series and this book. This paranormal whodunnit has terrific characters and a storyline that is well written and enjoyable to read. There is humour, murder, magic, mayhem, twists and turns, and a troubled relationship for Cas and Graham. Can Cas save the town and get ready for her exam in peace or will she be too frozen to live?
