Twenty-first-century witch and cat rescuer Luna Halpern has fallen for more than her share of unsuitable guys—including one with a long-distance fiancé, and another who was more interested in other dudes than in Luna. Finally, a safe, drama-free guy is interested in her, and she’s confident that she’ll muster up an attraction to him. When she stumbles upon a handsome, mysterious man who speaks oddly, seems not to know where he is, or even what century it is, her first instinct is to help him.
Certain he’s either stuck in a crazy dream or in limbo between life and death, Colin stays close to Luna. As his feelings for her grow, he’s forced to choose between his obligations in the past and his hopes for the future.

A Witch in Time was a quick and fun read. I always enjoy a light time travel trope – one where you don’t get caught up in the science but simply enjoy someone’s awe of what the future has to offer. The main characters fall in love super fast, but that is too be expected in such a short book. Cat’s Paw Cove promises to be a setting I want to return to often!
In this story, we have mystery, time travel, and yep a whole lot of funny.
Luna who owns the cafe in town and her friend Jordan will be running their goods at the towns Founders Day Event. Luna is a bit tired however due to weird dreams she’s had been having. She wonders to herself it it may have something to do with what the Sheriff warned them about? Naww couldn’t be or could it? She has sworn off weird men after one too many screwed up dates, and is just gonna go home to rest.
Colin is from the past, lost when his ship goes down with his wife and unborn child but? was it his child? Well, he ends up on Cat’s Paw Cove somehow and right in the arms of Luna? or does he?
Well haha, I am not going to tell you. You need to grab this story and read it, I guarantee you will find it thrilling, and funny.
This book is such a surprise! I loved the unique storyline. The main characters, Collin and Luna, each have issues that the reader sympathizes with, and cant help but wish for it all to work out. This is a fun read, based in a town I would LOVE to live in! I cant wait for more!

Catherine Kean is a new Author to me this is the first book in the Cat’s Paw Cove series and I want to read more. Colin Wilshire was aboard a storm tossed ship in 1645 when he is swept overboard he now finds himself in the Twenty-first-century. He meets Luna Halpern a witch and cat rescuer. This book has suspense, drama, danger, time travel, a villain, and romance. I enjoyed reading this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a well written book with an enjoyable story line. The author does a great job pulling you in and keeping you reading with her descriptive writing and detailed scenes. It’s a cute time travel romance that had me hooked from start to finish. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

A Witch in Time is a magical tale of two souls meant for each other. This short story introduces us to some of the quirky members of Cat’s Paw Cove, Florida, gives us a mystery to solve and a love across time. Forget reality and dive on in to this enchanting tale.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
This book is an enjoyable easy read. It’s not normally my style of book, but I did enjoy it.
The characters are well written and enjoyable and you want them to be happy, and it’s obvious that Luna and Colin would be happy together, but they have to figure it out for themselves.
An enjoyable and easy read.
Fun start to a new series. Luna is a twenty-first-century witch, baker, and cat rescuer. She also has terrible luck with men. This year, for Founders Day, she is determined to avoid repeating past mistakes. But when she stumbles across a man who is a dead ringer for the one who has haunted her dreams, her good intentions go right out the window.
Colin is very confused. The last thing he remembers is being on a ship bound for Barbados, along with his pregnant wife. He’s looking to start a new life and get away from the troubles he inherited. A freak storm washed him overboard, and now he’s in a world he doesn’t recognize. If not for the blue-haired angel who comes to his rescue he would be in even deeper trouble.
I liked both Luna and Colin. Colin is an honorable man who wants to make a good life for himself and his pregnant wife. Even when tossed overboard, he attempts to save others before being sucked underwater. He’s understandably confused when he stumbles out of the water into a strange new world. His reactions are fun to see. Luna is a talented baker and also runs a cat rescue. She’s a bit tired of dealing with the weirdos that come out for Founders Day, but she’ll deal with it. I liked how she thought Colin was just another of them and wanted to help anyway.
It was fun to watch the relationship develop between Colin and Luna. There were sparks between them from the start, but Colin was determined to get back to his own time. I liked seeing the two together as they were drawn to each other. Colin was surprised by his unexpected jealousy and wondered what it indicated about his relationship with his wife. As they worked together to get Colin onto the Ship Museum, the connection between them grew. There are some surprising twists in store that will affect Colin’s plans for the future.
There is also a bit of suspense as there are rumors that there is a treasure aboard the museum ship. Colin wants to see if the item he hid on board is still there. They run into unexpected trouble, and the confrontation is pretty intense. The identity of the culprit is a surprise. I liked Colin’s decision about the item he found. The epilogue was great, and I loved the surprise he added to his latest invention.
This was an entertaining read, and I’m looking forward to reading more of this series.

Time Travel, Love and Cats. You’ve got it all in this book. Whats not to love! This is a great start to the series. I love Wynter’s others books and couldn’t wait to read this one. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series and see what the other authors have to offer for this little town.
Luna Halpren is a witch and also is a fantastic baker who bakes for the Cove Cat Cafe which is in Cat’s Paw Cove, Florida, a truly magical town. She hasn’t been very lucky in her love life. She is having dreams of being on an old fashioned ship with a handsome man standing at the railing, when the darn alarm clock goes off. Her cat Hecate licks her face letting Luna it’s time to eat. She has another dream of being on the same ship during a horrendous storm and being thrown into the ocean. Her handsome gentleman comes to her rescue and gets her to a piece of board to hold onto. Unfortunately, he gets hit on the head by a board and disappears. She wakes up and *sigh*, so wishes she could meet a man like that. One night she takes a walk along the beach and this man comes out of the ocean with seaweed on him. It’s the man from her dreams. Imagine, the man is Colin Wiltshire from the year 1645!!!!
What ensues is a magical, romantic story with twists and turns. Loved the storyline and the characters. I just love this magical town of Cat’s Paw Cove and so looking forward to more stories in this new series.
Luna is one of the magic weilding citizens of Cat’s Paw Cove. Along with her brother Leo, who seems to be the town Romeo, she runs the local bakery. After working at the local founders day festival she finds a bedraggled but still very handsome refugee from a shipwreck. Poor lad must have bumped his head cos he’s now trapped in his reenactment persona!
Colin had been sailing to the Caribbean with his new wife when the storm struck. Now he has awoken in a very strange world. But one where his mad inventions, once mocked by his peers, would not seem out of place. But how can he return to his family? Can he trust this witch? What will actually await him on his return?
Hecate the cat has some very weird talents! Colin solowly realises that the past he left might not be as perfect as the present in which he has found himself! Sweet romance which sprouts from a new friendship. Mysterty robberies and family secrets galore!
A Witch in Time by Catherine Kean
Cat’s Paw book 1. Paranormal romance novella.
Colin goes overboard in a violent storm in 1635. He wakes up in the 21st century where he searches for help and answers to his past.
A complex storyline for this novella length story, but that means that is a lot going on in this time traveling pirate, small town, witch and magical cat mystery romance.
I thought the pirate got over his lost wife too quickly but that’s explained as part of their investigation into the ship and survivors all those hundreds of years ago.
A little too much description/ graphic images of the storm intro and the seasick woman. So glad I live in current times.
Overall enjoyed the romantic sleuthing and magic touches.
This is the first novella in the Cat’s Paw Cove Series, a Cozy Mystery and Time Travel Romance. I like the cover. Luna’s story is beautifully written, sweet, cute, and entertaining. The world building is original, and captivating. I liked the mystery, the magic, and the romance. Rebecca Winder did an outstanding job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice, very pleasant to listen to. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily written this review.
A Witch In Time: Book One in the Cat’s Paw Cove Romance series, is a wonderful introduction to the town. Catherine Kean and Wynter Daniels are award-winning authors who teamed up to create a brand-new magical town. In Book 1, we meet Luna and Colin who couldn’t possibly be compatible lovers. No way! Who could believe Colin’s story about washing up on the beach claiming to be from 1645? Certainly not Luna, a modern-day witch who runs the Cat’s Cove Café. If she’s smart, she should run fast and far from a crazy person like Colin. But guess what? He just might be telling the truth. If he is, could he possibly be the man who brings her the happy-ever-after she desires? Ummm. I’m not telling. I think you’re going to love reading this story to find out for yourself.
A fun, short read.
Magical cats; a time traveling, swashbuckling, Englishman; Founder’s Day; shipwrecks; hidden treasure; and so much more.
This character driven tale kept my attention from beginning to end. It made me laugh, smile, and even snort a time or two.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes a short, fun, magical story.
This is the first book I’ve encountered by this author, but it definitely won’t be my last. The narrator did a wonderful job.
This is a new to me author. I really enjoyed this story. There was the magic, the romance, the strong sense of right and wrong. The author did a great job of weaving it all together. It definitely is a easy, extremely good read. I enjoy the way the author told this story.
It’s 1645 and Colin Wilshire is onboard a ship with his pregnant wife. They’re near Florida and heading for Barbados when a horrific storm hits them. The ship wrecks and while trying to save those he can, Colin is hit on the head and ends up in Cat’s Cove in modern times. He’s found by Luna, a witch, who recognizes him from her dreams. Though they both fall for each other, Colin is desperate to get back to his wife…until he discovers it’s not necessary.
Things I liked: It’s a cute, sweet, short (novella length) story with good characters and a satisfying ending.
Things I didn’t like: There’s not much setting given. Yes, it’s a short story, but I’d like a little more detail. Also, a question… how does Luna get rid of Chuck? That’s never addressed—or are we supposed to guess?
Recommendation: If you’re looking for a quick, light, fluff piece, this is it. It’s fun, but there’s not much substance here.
