Welcome to Christmas Grove, where holiday magic and matchmaking is in the air. When Rex Holiday walks into the charming town of Christmas Grove, all he plans to do is to spend the season helping out at his buddy’s Christmas tree farm. What he doesn’t expect is for an overzealous matchmaker to slip a love potion into his cider. But the joke’s on the resident matchmaker, because not even a potent … a potent love spell can break through the walls he’s built around his heart. But when the girl next door catches his eye, some of his barriers start to crumble. Still, Rex Holiday’s time in Christmas Grove is only temporary. He can’t afford to fall in love. Or can he?
Holly Reineer is a powerful spirit witch who can see the future for everyone. Everyone but herself that is. And when Rex Holiday walks into her life, she sees his, too. He’s destined for a big corporate job all the way across the country. So when he starts to show interest in her, she knows it’s only temporary, and Holly’s not interested in a fling. She wants her happily-ever-after. But he’s very hard to resist… Can a love spell rewrite the future? If so, Holly will need to learn to follow her heart and, for once, trust what she can’t see.

Disappointing. Not as good as the Witches of Keating Hollow series.
I love this book, the magic world Christmas Grove and the residents like Holly and Rex kept me captivated until the end. Deanna Chase hooked me into the next book as well. If you love a wonderful story, with steamy and magic this will fill your wish list.
I didn’t finish this book. Truthfully, names were a turn off. Mr. Holiday and Holly Reindeer. The book was well edited and the story was probably OK if you want to enjoy a light read. It just wasn’t one that I was interested in finishing.
Along with love comes hurt sometimes, but the outcome is usually for the best.
It was a cute read.
I found it fun to read and really enjoyed the characters.
Enjoyable and pleasant easy light read.
I loved the whole magic town world and how doing magic was just normal everyday basic actions. Though I would have liked more positive and powerful magics used.
Both main characters were likeable.I gather from reading the reviews this is a spin off from another series which I have not read.
Grabbed as a free read but I will be reading the next book as it is in KU.
A quick read and very enjoyable.
Audiobook review- Enjoyed this sweet short paranormal romance story. The characters are likable and believable. The storyline is interesting and realistic. The narrator did a fantastic job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
It’s a sweet, holiday story.
I have read other works by this author and loved it. Past books have had action, exciting plots, and romance. This book lacks all of it. Romance has little passion and plot is very boring. I struggled to finish it. I have not really enjoyed new books by this author. Thought I would try again but I was disappointed. I expect witch books to have more magic and action.
I have been provided with a copy of A Witch For Mr. Holiday by the author for an impartial review. This is the first book in the brand-new Witches of Christmas Grove series and this was just a great way to start off a new series. I just had so much fun reading this story. It was just so easy to get lost in and I just didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
This is a light, fun, sweet and charming new spin off from the Keating Hallow series. Holly and Rex are just awesome. Holly is every witch you want to be. Rex is the sexy guy staying next door. They are on a road to friendship. Or more if Holly can get over the past. I was very impressed with Rex and his kindness he showed through out the book. Holly has a wall that she really has to let go of. They are the sweetest not a couple ever. Does the love spell have anything to do with their chemistry? I think it is all them. I read this book in about a day. I could not put it down. There is so much promise to this series. I can’t wait till the next book.
These books, and this one especially, remind me of a Hallmark Channel Christmas Special. It’s written just like a real show would play out (except a bit more hint at romance without any sex scenes). The narrator’s voice on the Audible version is quite soft-spoken which adds to the feel. The characters are relatable and likeable. I just wish there was more adversity, depths of stronger emotions, etc. There’s plenty of sympathy, empathy, tears, and frustration, but for once I crave a witch to get pissed at how her boyfriend is acting and use a gust of air to slap some sense into him, play a prank, do something with more heat to it. I do enjoy these stories, but for me they’re an occasional read between my typical paranormal books with a bit more blood and gore. This book was very predictable, almost excruciatingly so.
I wasn’t aware that all the Witches books from Chase tie together, so I was surprised when she mentioned another neighboring town (and series) about Keating Hollow, which I read previously. I’m not sure on the official timeline, but I was able to read this and understand it just fine without following a book order. There’s a tiny twist in the very last chapter which can draw readers in to the series to continue to the next book, but isn’t so large to cause an uproar. Overall, it was a good read; just not my typical cup of tea.
I enjoyed this book her writing is always entertaining
A new series
A sweet witch holiday romance between Holly and Rex and how they came to fall in love.
some complication and problems arise can they find theie love.
Enjoyed reading.
Voluntarily Reviewed.
I have to admit that some of my top favorite series are written by Deanna Chase, so I was really looking forward to this book. Ms. Chase did not disappoint! Holly & Rex’s love story is incredible. As always there are parts that bring tears to my eyes, but that’s because I fell in love with these characters. Not only Holly & Rex, but all of them. I’m not surprised though, because Deanna is an incredible writer. Since this is the first book in the Witches of Christmas Grove series, it’s the perfect time to start reading the series! And if you’ve never read a book by Deanna Chase, be prepared though, because you’ll want to read all of her books. I can’t wait for book 2!!
This is a great book; this is the first book in the Witches of Christmas Grove series written by Deanna Chase. Rex Holiday comes to the town of Christmas Gove to help his friend with his Christmas tree farm, he is only going to be in town through the holidays and has no room in his heart to fall in love while there. He also wasn’t expecting for the matchmaker in town to slip him and Holly a love potion. Holly Reineer is a spirit witch and has visions of people’s futures so she know falling for Rex is a bad idea. She knows he is leaving but they both can’t deny the pull towards each other, the also soon realize that it is more than a love potion at work. This story was a perfect start to my feel good books that I love to read at Christmas time. If you are looking for a great book that will get you in the Christmas spirit, then you need to read this great book! I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
This is a new series for Ms. Chase and it seems to be a little different from her other books. That is not a bad thing. The book is wonderful. It’s a lovely story with characters that you want to know. Who doesn’t want to experience a love story in a magical town like Christmas Grove. I’m looking forward to the next installment. Ms. Chase never disappoints.
I must admit, I’ve been waiting for this one for a while now. I adore M.s Chase’s books and the in depth worlds she creates but this one just sang to me from the blurb and cover. I wasn’t disappointed for a moment! Rex Holiday is the stuff dreams are made of and his relationship with Holly is so recognizable that it could easily be one of my friends’ lives. I love the sweet and steamy of this book and will eagerly devour the rest of this series!
