From the author who brought you A Thousand Boy Kisses comes the new emotional novel,A Wish For Us.A story of music. A story of healing. A story of love conquering all.Nineteen-year- old Cromwell Dean is the rising star of electronic dance music. Thousands ofpeople adore him. But no one knows him. No one sees the color of his heart.Until the girl in the purple dress. She sees through the walls he … dress. She sees through the walls he has built to the empty darkness
within.
When Cromwell leaves behind the gray skies of England to study music in the South Carolina
heat, the last thing he expects is to see her again. And he certainly doesn’t expect that she’ll
stay in his head like a song on repeat.
Bonnie Farraday lives for music. She lets every note into her heart, and she doesn’t understand
how someone as talented as Cromwell can avoid doing the same. He’s hiding from his past, and
she knows it. She tries to stay away from him, but something keeps calling her back.
Bonnie is the burst of color in Cromwell’s darkness. He’s the beat that makes her heart skip.
But when a shadow falls over Bonnie, it’s up to Cromwell to be her light, in the only way he
knows how. He must help her find the lost song in her fragile heart. He must keep her strong
with a symphony only he can compose.
A symphony of hope.
A symphony of love.
A symphony of them.

“Obstacles in life sometimes make you look at the world in ways you never did before.”
Tillie Cole has such a special way about her writing. It’s so sincere and pure. She describes everything in such a manner that you see every scene as if it’s playing before your eyes. Your heart is in every moment and she makes you feel with every fiber of your being.
“She made me want to play again.” “She made me listen to the music inside me again. She made me play. She inspired me…She made me me again.” “I love her. She’s my silver.”
This story! My goodness! My heart! It’s so heart wrenchingly beautiful it takes your breath away! It’s raw and real and written so incredibly beautifully that you feel everything! What a fantastically written, soul searing story! Easton, Cromwell, and Bonnie’s journeys are ones that will burrow into your heart and stay with you forever. Journeys of heartache, hope, and unconditional love. Phenomenal!
“This boy, who was holding me in his arms, was my wish come true. The boy who stood beside me through the hardest trials of my life. And the boy who, when I fell apart, brought me back to me, brought me back to him. Through music. Through love. And through the colors of his soul. He was, and forever would be, the beat in my heart.”
4.5 “Violet Blue” Stars
A melodious story that will leave you breathless and craving for more notes, more beats, more tunes. You will beg/plead/cry/weep for the people who climb out of the pages and take residence into your heart. Tillie chose an unexampled topic to explore that I believe I’d never even heard of before. The complexities and travails of genius is very poignantly highlighted. It just stuns you with its painful beauty.
Impenetrable heart meets a defective heart and our collective hearts disintegrate. That’s the gist of this heart love shattering story of how musical souls. Their hearts beat to same drums, beats, notes.
The boy who can see colours and the girl who can hear emotions
It’s like God made them for each other and put them on separate continents. Fate finds a way for them to be together. Cromwell Dean the hottest and most promising young DJ, is God in EDM world and Bonnie is there on his club trying to listen . She finds it lacking and this is where their infamous clash starts.
“The best music must be felt. By the creator. By the listener. Every part of it from creation to ear must be wrapped in nothing but feelings.”
“You can’t fight the colors you were born to see.”
No matter how far you run, you can’t get away from your talent…..or demons.and they are both playing havoc in Dean Cromwells mind.
She feels no connect and labels his work as synthetic and soulless. Naturally Dean is irritated and brushes it off.
Next thing you know, fate throws them together in Jefferson. In the same college, in the same class.
I don’t wanna give anything away. So I’ll stop right here.
But….BUT, the story will tear your heart out and chop it into pieces. It’s devastating & soul razing. You will feel your emotions going through a grinder. A pit was in my stomach the whole time and a lump the size of England, lodged in my throat.
Be prepared to cry….& cry…& cry……then cry some more. Giant box of Kleenex and skyscraper sized bottle of wine is mandatory.
Dean’s talent is unique and unparalleled.
Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor spilled out from my hands, every bar burned into my brain. No sheet music was needed. I just followed the colors. Vibrant red. Pale blue. Ochre. Tan brown. Lemon yellow. One after the other. A tapestry in my mind.
So is his prickly personality. I loved this broody genius. The character was so childlike vulnerable, I wanted to hug him hard and save him from his chaos.
Bonnie is the quintessential sweetheart, she breaks down barriers and penetrates into ui ur heart effortlessly
Easton just steals the show. Massively talented and happy go lucky, even though he hides a lot of pain behind his loud personality.
The story is simply outstanding and Tillie’s writing just goes straight to the heart. Very well researched and vivid in description, you’ll fall in love and as happens in love, there’s a risk of getting your heart trampled. So yes, it does happen. A few sensitive subjects are touvvhed upon and some scenes damn near killed me, I’ve just about recovered. So go forth and feed your heart in the chipper.
What a beautiful, wonderful, and heartfelt story. This book is just simply perfect. I can’t recommend this book enough. This is a must read and this author is just great.
This story is described as an emotional rollercoaster and it certainly delivers. I have only read Tillie dark stuff and haven’t ventured into her YA. I was completely blown away.
I was a total emotional wreck and could not comprehend what I had just read. After reading this book you will understand the cover which makes this story even more beautiful.
I have to apologize that I’m not saying much about the characters or story. You are going to want to read this story with your eyes and heart wide open knowing nothing else, is the best way in my opinion to experience this story.

Angela –
I don’t even know where to start on my review of A Wish for Us. I suppose I’ll begin by telling you that I was up until 4 am because once I discovered just how Tillie Cole intended to shred my heart, I had to know how it all played out. After all, the author nearly killed me with A Thousand Boy Kisses, so I knew nothing was a given except that Cromwell and Bonnie would love hard, love deep, and love completely… once Cromwell got out of his own way. I knew that once he stopped fighting Bonnie, stopped resurrecting the walls she was knocking down, stopped closing himself off to the music in his soul, and opened his heart, that their love would be perfect. But I didn’t know how long that love would last, how much the ticking down of the clock would hurt, and if there was any hope for a happily ever after for the pair, so I had to read to the end. Unfortunately, I was woefully unprepared for just how much Cole would make me bleed, make me cry, and leave me wrecked by the time I got to the final page. I’m pretty sure I spent half the book either wiping tears from my eyes or full on sobbing – body wracking sobs. I woke this morning with a literal book hangover – puffy eyes, stuffy nose, a pounding headache, and so emotionally drained that I was useless – and it’s taken hours for me to finally be able to sit down and write my review. And yes, I’m tearing up as I do so. Despite how I felt this morning, I wouldn’t trade it for anything because A Wish for Us was not only a beautiful story, but it’s an utterly fascinating one as well.
From the outside, Cromwell and Bonnie are complete opposites. The tatted up bad boy and the quiet girl next door. An electronic dance music DJ and a folk music songwriter. A sullen young man who’s fighting to keep the world at bay and a hopeful young woman who’s fighting to accomplish her dreams while she can. But as different as they are, they both have a love a music that is tethered to their souls. And it’s that soul-deep connection to music that makes it impossible for them to keep each other at arm’s length – even when Cromwell doesn’t feel as though he deserves to love and be loved or when Bonnie feels she’s being cruel and selfish by letting him into her life when her future is so uncertain. Because Cole doesn’t do anything in half measures, getting past one another’s defenses wasn’t the biggest obstacle they had to overcome, merely one of many as they had to slay personal demons, conquer each other’s defenses, and come face-to-face with unsurmountable odds the universe dropped in their path as they learned the hard lesson that there are some things in life you have no control over.
The blurb tells you everything you need to know without telling you anything. Seemingly poetic word choices take on a whole new meaning once you’ve read the book and are able to suss out their true meaning. But even if you’re able to pick up on the clues before beginning the book, it still won’t prepare you for the heartbreak you’re likely to experience. There were parts of the story that were subtly telegraphed and parts that I knew were coming, and I still wasn’t able to prepare myself for the fallout. There is a series of events that play out toward the end, they are vital to story, to Bonnie having more time with Cromwell, and I saw it coming, silently begged that I was wrong and that Cole wasn’t going there, and I now have tears streaming down my face because it hurts me so much that the price for a soul-deep love was so high. A Wish for Us weaves such a beautiful tale of love and loss, of hope and despair, and life and death that I have to give it five stars, even if my heart isn’t strong enough to ever read it again because just like Bonnie dug down deep into Cromwell’s heart, their tale is just an entrenched in mine. Well done, Tillie Cole, well done.
For those of you keeping count, this was a five-tissue tearjerker.

This book will take you on a roller coaster journey full of heartache, love and hope. Characters that are fighting their own individual demons that have lost their way.
I worked out the plot fairly early on but I think the author gives you enough clues so I don’t think there are any major shockers but the journey is a very emotional and heartbreaking one that keeps you turning the pages. Told from a dual POV the book takes a steady pace and is a beautiful read that will make your heart race. My heart went out to Cromwell, Bonnie and Easton; three characters fighting very different heartaches of their own.
The only reason why I have knocked one star off is that I didn’t feel that one of the characters demons was explored fully and this was a subject very close to my heart. I get that the author was writing a love story and it was very beguiling and heartfelt but I just felt a little more could have dealt with more as it is a serious condition which in reality is often played down. Apart from that I loved the book, the characters and the epilogue was just enough to give us complete closure.
It’s been days since I’ve finished this incredible story and I am still at a loss for words over Tillie Cole’s addictively captivating and beautifully unique writing style! This is not the first time I have read one of her books, but this is perhaps my most favorite yet and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next because she keeps surprising me each and every single time!
A Wish for Us will take readers on an emotional rollercoaster and trust me when I say that you want to make sure to carve out a day to experience the journey this story will take you on. Oh and also make sure to have a box or two of Kleenex handy because you are definitely going to need them! I can’t even begin to tell you the number of times I bawled my eyes out throughout this emotionally raw and heartbreaking story! Honestly I think it’s been a while since I’ve read a book that made me bawl my eyes out and let me just say that the ending made all those tears worth it…although my heart still aches when I think about this one.
Cromwell and Bonnie have got to be hands down two of my all-time favorite characters and I am so FREAKING excited to tell you all how hard I loved them! They were certainly an unconventional couple from the start and I had no clue how many twists and turns their story was going to hold when I first went in, but oh my goodness there were so many unexpected moments!
Readers be prepared for the abundance of emotions you will all experience when you pick up your copy of A Wish for Us by Tillie Cole today!
Can I rate it more than 5 stars? As it is worthy of so many more.
It was simply amazing. I dont think I can write how much I loved this book.
It was heartbreaking beautiful in the most beautiful way. Yes it’s sad so have the tissues ready. Did I say I loved everything about this book?? Don’t delay reading it, you will regret it! Definitely in my top 5 for 2018. Thank you Tillie.
OMG!!! Only by reading this synopsis I am already immersed in the deepest hangover. What a beautiful synopsis, is not it? what else can I say? Just that YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!!!!!
Enjoy and already put your headset with your favorite songs, take the box of tissues, a bottle of water and prepare your friends that they need to hear several times you crying while reading.
I will try bravely to speak my impressions with this reading without leaving anything beyond what is already deduced by the synopsis.
Cromwell is an extremely broken-hearted guy embittered by ghosts of the past who haunted him every moment of his life when he moves his college from London to North Carolina never imagined that his life would change so drastically also by meeting the decided Bonnie.
Bonnie is a music girl, she lives, breathes and dreams of music but when she meets famous and infamous DJ Cromwell, she is very annoyed by the indifference he shows to the musical notes that move her life. The clash between them is inevitable as fate plays tricks with both of them all the time, bringing them closer as they want to stay as far apart as possible from each other. And thanks to these moments that I lived moments more than special during the reading with several highlights:
– when he sees her for the first time in London;
– when they go to an art gallery (unique experience that Tillie Cole provided me, I only remembered a similar experience I lived in a place called Inhotim);
– when he talks to Lewis at a crucial point in the plot;
– when the Apotheosis moment comes and I see myself in the clouds;
– when the explanation for the title appears.
One of the most exciting books I read this year, loaded with drama and real moments that I saw myself inside the pages participating together, living together, loving together, a glint in my eyes when I was not in tears and violent sobs that needed to stop reading to try to compose myself, rebuild me to move on.
Not to mention that I was packed by the Lost Frequencies Melody’s clip and the Clean Bandit Symphony’s music and clip during the reading and at the end I could see that Symphony was on the playlist suggested by Tillie Cole.
Oh my poor heart!
As soon as I saw the cover, I found the idea strange, mainly because the face is hidden in the middle of the colors, but as I read it, I realized how perfectly it fits the plot and conveys the atmosphere of the whole book.
Speechless!
I confess that if it were not for two details that left me a little sad (and I really can not speak) I would give quietly and with eyes closed 6/5 stars because the book is more than beautiful and managed to penetrate my skin deep.
5/5 stars.
Wow!!! Just Wow!! I can seat here for hours and write a review. The fact is I won’t. There aren’t enough powerful words to describe how I feel about this book. This story made me feel so many emotions. Tillie Cole has done it again with an incredible masterpiece.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I STRONGLY recommend this story.
Ok. Let’s start by taking this out of the way that I know there are people with doubt / curiosity. Many people are “afraid” of this book, because the author said that it is at the same level of “A Thousand Boy Kisses”. But the comparison is just to prepare you, so you keep the handkerchiefs close to you.
But the comparation stop there.
I am an easy crier and I cried the whole Poppy and Rune book – much more than this new book – but A WISH FOR US makes a bigger impact. So, without saying much (but already saying) be prepared for a book with great possibility of getting you very emotional. But that’s not all that A WISH FOR US does. The way Tillie describes the environment, the music, the colors, made me want be there to to listen and dance too. It made me wish Cromwell was real and I could listen to him and see him play for real.
This book is about Bonnie Farraday, a student in love with classical music who, on a visit to England, met Cromwell briefly and was not a pleasant conversation. And Cromwell Dean is a famous DJ in Europe and gets the opportunity to go to a college in the United States to study music with a legend. The same college Bonnie studies. These two who do not like each other at first because they also don’t have similar tastes, end up discovering in each other more things in common than they imagine.
A WISH FOR US, despite the light premise, is not an easy book. It will make you fall in love with these characters as if they were part of our lives. It makes us want to know more about them, to help them, to understand them. And even if you don’t have all the information, when you least expect … puff !! , you’re already in love. This is good, right? When we read a book and fall in love with the hero and heroine? For sure! But … the author slowly takes our heart and squeezes it. And you feel it. Feel everything. Feel that you will be hurt, but “OMG!” you can’t put it down. Tillie was brilliant in her writing. It made my heart beat hard with the tunes, made me see those specific colors, made me have that experience with them.
The story is about two people who are passionate about music, told in a unique way. I’ve never heard of a person like Cromwell and I was fascinated by him. I thought it was magical the way Tillie told this story. But the story also knocked me over. In one scene, I stopped in the middle of the text and couldn’t hold it anymore because I got so emotional and stared to ugly cry. In fact, I was afraid someone here at home would listen and come to see if I was okay. The pain was real. But the story is wonderful. And despite any unreal or flaws I may have found, I can only think of how wonderful it was to have the opportunity to read this book. If I would recommend it? You have no idea how much. This was just perfect.
You need ALL the tissues!
Oh god, the tears! What a devastatingly heartbreaking, soul crushing, beautiful, amazing story this was! Tillie Cole knows exactly how to rip your heart to shreds and then stitch it back together!! Absolutely stunning book!
A Wish for Us by Tillie Cole will break your heart but in the end all will be well. This is a perfect dance between love, music and loss. A beautiful story with a beautiful ending.
Bonnie and Easton are the perfect duet! Truly a beautiful tale with a magical romance oh, and the playlist is amazing!
STRONGLY RECOMMEND to anyone who loves a love story.
New Adult, epic romance !!
Texas Hugs and Happy Reading!!

A story of music. A story of healing. A story of love conquering all.
Absolutely loved A Wish For Us! Tillie Cole has brought to us this very emotional journey that without music, the colors would all fade.
Cromwell Dean is doing what he does the best, making music. These days, he finds himself at the clubs as DJ mixing up the beats and playing off the emotions he feels as the club goers thrive on the dance floor. He has them in the palm of his hand.
Bonnie Farraday traveled to Europe to see this DJ spinning the sounds that have everyone flocking to. As she stood completely still on the dance floor, she felt nothing. The music that was playing had no soul.
As Cromwell needed a change, he set off to US on a full ride music scholarship to a small-town college. Never imagining he would see the girl who told him his music had no soul.
Being forced to work together as a team, Cromwell and Bonnie are both fighting demons hiding within themselves. The mandatory team is destined to break up and fail the class.
Tillie Cole has a way of sucking you into a story filled with so much emotion. The pages turn effortlessly and the words devoured as the music and colors come into view. This story is a wonderful way to understand that even though you might lose some, you also will win some.
A symphony of hope.
A symphony of love.
A symphony of them.
