Fall in love this holiday season with a classic from #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts. Pandora McVie’s life is tied up in knots. In order to respect her uncle Jolley’s last wishes, she’s stuck spending Christmas isolated in the Catskills with Michael Donahue, the cobeneficiary of her uncle’s will. Jolley was a matchmaker to the end–and apparently for some time beyond. The … beyond. The infuriating Michael is hard to live with…but what’s harder still is not falling in love with her nemesis.
Originally published in 1986.

This is a must read…
I enjoy Nora Roberts. Her writing style varies with every book. A will and a way was just what I wanted. I had just finished a college course that required a lot of technical reading. All I wanted was just an entertaining story. I wanted brain candy and as always Nora Roberts delivered.
Nora Roberts always delivers a great story, wonderful characters and a satisfying ending. With the holidays approaching, this one’s an older one of hers but still very entertaining.
Nora Roberts does it again…so curl up by the fire and enjoy reading this delightful holiday treat!
This was a really good book to read. A good who done it.
Enjoyed second time reading the book
Really enjoyed this story. The intricacy of the characters relationships and buildup of the romance. Couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. Highly recommend it.
A WILL AND A WAY by Nora Roberts was first published in 1986 and republished in 2019. Considering it was originally printed almost 35 years ago, it remains an enjoyable read.
The story has a cute premise where in order to inherit over 100 million dollars, Pandora McVie and Michael Donahue must live together in their late uncle’s home in the Catskills for six months. Related only by marriage, Pandora and Michael have never gotten along, and the only thing they had in common was their devotion to their uncle and his home in the Catskills.
Neither Pandora or Michael are interested in the money, but at the same time they don’t want to see all the greedy relatives inherit if they don’t stay together—relatives that will go so far as to poison them and cut their brake lines to keep them apart. But the more time Pandora and Michael spend together, the more they find they have in common. There are a few steamy love scenes and a warm happily ever after that made it a very enjoyable read.
I did have problems with the hero and heroine not contacting the police until Pandora received a phone call warning her to be careful. There was no real justification for not contacting the police, and I found that annoying, but it was still a good read.
Sometimes it is nice to settle back with a favorite author and enjoy a classic romance. When the holidays get hectic, this book was a nice little escape. Two people who dislike each other get thrown together in order to satisfy the terms of an uncle’s will. Of course, with so much on the line, jealous relatives come into play. This story has mystery, intrigue, matchmaking, reluctant love – escapism at its best!
Never get tired of reading books Pandora Roberts.
A good book to curl up with on this snowy day. Thanks Nora.
A wonderful way to ease into the madness that is Christmas season.
I read this book awhile ago, I really do not remember now what it was about, I just know at the time it was another good read by Nora Roberts
I like Nora Roberts’ books, and found this a very easy read. It’s one of her earlier ones, I believe, but still good.
my favorite writer of all time. A constant reread for me.
Quick read.
I liked this book because The characters were interesting and showed a great deal of personality. The story moved along nicely and captured my imagination.
I almost always like Nora Robert’s books. This was good but not one of her best.
You really can’t say anything bad about a Nora Roberts book.
You can’t go wrong with a Nora Roberts romance. Her characters are so well developed, you feel like you know them.
