I was a bit disappointed in this book. I love this genre but this was not my style. It has potential but unfortunately the author does not go all the way to make it a great story. There is not enough of background research of the period this story takes place. The characters are not described and defined enough.
I lot interest at a point because the story was not captivating enough. There was not that much happening that caught me in the story.
The communication between characters was a times confusing and just off the grid.
But most of all I find the story lacks editing. A proper Editor would have caught most of the mistakes in this story and that would have made it better.
I’m not a fan of this book.
I’m a big Jane Austen fan and I thought the book was a good first attempt but felt that the conversation text was often stilted and was sometimes confusing as to who was talking. I thought more character development was also needed. A good editor would help as well.

Sweet Regency Christmas romance. Lizzy’s parents are having a Christmas gathering, inviting aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and eligible men. Lizzy’s mom is hoping Lizzy and her sister Jane will be engaged by the end of the holiday weekend. Two men, Mr. Wickham and Mr. Darcy, seem to be interested in Lizzy, however her sister Lydia likes Mr. Wickham. He’s handsome, charming but he seems to be a drunk and a womanizer. The other man, Fitzwilliam Darcy seems to be stiff and unfriendly, and stares at her with a frown on his face. But has time passes and they are all stranded at Lizzy’s home due to weather, Mr. Darcy growns on her, and is very considerate. But Mr. Wickham is really pressing his interest in her. Who will she pick? I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review

ONE ENJOYABLE ADVENTURE!!!
Crap on toast! Rebecca pulled out all the stops for this drama, suspense filled, Regency Era thrills and spills. She absolutely nailed the emotions swirling through this baby, running rampant unchecked, leaving you reeling and wanting more. She spins this baby with such refreshing realism that catapults this jewel to life effortlessly. Carefully treading through the trials and tribulations, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. Twixt and twined and stretched to unbelievable limits until you feel everything the characters feel. The personalities are well matched and brought together smoothly. The scenes are so graphically detailed it paints an incredible backdrop that feels as though you’re right there with them. Fantastic job Rebecca, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
