Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She’s tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she’s a magnet for men who don’t deserve her.A week’s vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no … stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.
Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn’t date, he doesn’t stay the night, and he doesn’t make any promises.
It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.

You know these books? Those you start with thinking, Oh, the first in a series, sure, I’ll get to #2 later on? This is not that book!!! All I wanted to scream is: Anna, don’t you dare walk away from him!! Ethan, do NOT respect her rules!
I gotta buy part two right now to read on the story of this hot couple. Only one remark on the story line, a fraction less sex scenes would have done it. Some more digging in the personalities would have been good. Hence the 3 stars. But if you like sexy…. I hope part 2, Autumn in New York, obliges.
This was such a good story of two people that knew they would have only 7 days together. If you have ever had someone you loved have to leave you, Louise Bay captured ‘saying goodbye while not saying goodbye’ quite well.
You will love the chemistry between these two characters and how meeting that one person changed all their self proclaimed rules on relationships.
The story continues in Book 2, Autumn in London.
After Anna’s last boyfriend proved to be a douche bag, she’s decided that she doesn’t want to date anyone seriously. She’s ready to just have some fun. Enter Ethan. The gorgeous playboy she meets at the bar. The two lay out their rules and decide to spend just one week with one another. No strings attached. As the week draws to an end and Anna has to go back to London, these two realize that maybe they want more than just a week together.
I honestly didn’t even think I’d like this but I did! There wasn’t a whole lot of time to get to know the characters but I still feel like I have a pretty good feel as to who they were.
It was a fast easy light read. I’ll be reading the second one to see what happens next.
I swear I have been hiding under a rock. I have been purchasing and sitting on Louise Bay’s books for years now…no idea why I didn’t get to them but I’m so darned glad I finally got to one of her books. I’m completely hooked. Anna and Ethan’s story just tickled my funny bone just right with their wonderful interactions and snark. But while I like a good story, I LOVE me some steam and this book had it wonderfully in spades. I’m off to read Autumn now…
Oh just wow, I loved it so much and couldn’t put it down. A great fun and hot story. Loved it all the way through. I really loved the characters and how the story evolved.
Ethan and Anna agrees to sex with no commitments after a one night stand. She is in New York City for a week only. Will one week together be enough? A Week in New York is part one in The Empire State series.

She’s only her for a week so he thinks he’s safe. They agree to a crazy world wind affair of pleasure and fun and soon realize that they are quite perfectly suited. But their is still the pesky issue of 3000 miles and the week deadline. After a week will they be able to find a way to toss the rules out the window for good?
