A really good historical, friends to lovers romance.
I really enjoyed this romance about two childhood friends, Gray and Jules, or rather… Lord Grayson Abbot and Lady Juliette Brooks. They were childhood friends who grew to love each other but didn’t have the chance to say it because they were still too young when Gray was sent off to school at thirteen. Life didn’t turn out like either one of them thought it would but that was about to change.
Gray and Jules had me giggling, sighing, crying, and melting while reading about how they decided to deal with her fathers’ choice.

A Wallflower’s Christmas is the type of story you will want to read again and again. Brower has created characters that work their way under the skin and into the heart.. Desperation reignites a friendship that was almost forgotten and along the way awakens the heart to something magical.
A well written historical romance with nice storyline and plot. The characters are childhood friends and have always had a tight friendship. She decided many years ago that she wanted to marry him but now her father has made plans for her to marry a man she does not know or have ever seen. Will he come and rescue her from this marriage?
A sweet and beautiful story that has a bit of drama, romance, friendship, love, emotions, passion, chemistry, twists and likeable characters.
I can only recommend this to others that like a historical read.
Enjoyable quick read, have good points, interesting storyline and concept that has some challenges makes an endearing read.

This was an enjoyable, quick read. The plot wasn’t unique or ground-breaking – it was pretty standard regency fare – but the characters were likable. I enjoyed watching Grayson and Juliette rekindle their friendship, and then watching it develop into something more. Good Christmastime read.

Book three in the Connected by a KIss series. Lady Juliette Brooks is enjoying being a spinster but her father has other ideas. But Juliette has a way to save herself with a promised made a long time ago with Grayson Abbot, the Duke of Kissinger so they run away together. I found myself smiling throughout this book. I absolutely love this book! It is a wonderfully written story that grabs a hold of you and does not let go. The journey this couple goes through in order to reach their happy ever after is amazing. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This is about a true, deep, loving friendship between nine-year-old Lady Juliette Brooks and her neighbor and best friend twelve-year-old Lord Grayson Abbot. Both Juliette and Grayson only had each other to play with as they lived in the country and were forbidden to play with the servants’ children. They were in the country so there were no other aristocratic children to play with. Juliette and Grayson grew up together. They were inseparable. That Christmastide season would be there last. The Duke of Kissinger was sending his son Grayson to Eton and has forbidden him to continue his friendship with Juliette. The Duke thought it unseemly that a girl and boy, not relatives, to be close. When Grayson told Juliette he was leaving, she did not want him to go. He got her a gift. He bought her a locket with his picture in it. She loved it. She said that she would always have him with her while he was gone. Fifteen years later, Juliette is not twenty-five. She is unhappy because her mother passed away after her come out ball. Her season was cut short. She thought after her mourning that she would resume her season but that did not happen. Her father, the Earl of Riverdale, immediately remarried Eloise. Eloise had no love for Juliette and independent gregarious Juliette was no more. Eloise kept the Earl away from Juliette and the Earl no longer paid her any attention. So, she resigned herself to being a spinster and a wallflower. Eventually it became clear to Juliette that Eloise no longer wanted Juliette in her home. Eloise talked the Earl into arranging a marriage for Juliette to Viscount, Lord Payne. Juliette was horrified. It was well known that Payne was a cruel and abusive master and had to problems beating his victims. She pretended to go along with Eloise and her father. She decided to run away and go to the one person who made a promise to her many years ago to always be there for her if she needed him. She went to the Duke of Kissinger’s townhouse. Grayson was beyond words to see Juliette. He had missed her and wanted to tell Juliette why she never saw him again till now. But, Grayson was a dissolute rake and he needed to protect Juliette from himself. He found her attractive and his old feelings for her started to return. When he found out why she sought him out after fifteen years, he knew he had no choice but to protect Juliette from Payne. Even he heard about the cruel Viscount. So, he agreed to give Juliette the protection of his name. But only his name nothing else. They immediately set off to Gretna Green. The story covers the conversation and revelations during their four-day trip and the danger they find alone the way. This is a wonderful story. I do recommend it.
Grayson and Juliette grew up together as best friends until Grayson’s father seperated them successfully. But at their last meeting Grayson made a promise to always be there to help, should she need it.
Fast forward 15 years. Grayson has become a rake to spite his father and stays away from Juliette because he thinks he is not worthy enough. But when Juliette comes to him for help, to save her from a marriage to a known Sadist, he cannot but help her and take her to Gretna.
Trying to do the right thing is never easy – but what is the right thing here? How to best protect Juliette?
A wonderful story of redemption and love.

This is a delightfully fun, sweet emotional and entirely charming historical romance. I loved Juliette and Gideon. They have amazing chemistry and a emotional connection that is incredibly easy to feel. If I had one bad thing to say it would simply be that I though the characters and story deserved a much longer book. The novella length failed to provide as much depth and detail that I truly wish had been offered. So in the end regardless of how much I enjoyed this book (and I absolutely did!); I was still left with unanswered questions and just craving more.
The storyline was good and the characters were well rounded enough to grab my attention and keep it until the very last page!
This is a fast paced, entertaining and romantic story. Grayson is a cold, hard and stubborn man. Juliette is a bold, determined and gentle woman. They were best friends as children, but Grayson’s father forbade him from having anything to do with her, so Grayson rebelled and turned into the exact opposite of what he was expected to be. 15 years later Juliette shows up and begs him to marry her and save her from an unbearable future. Deciding to agree, but in name only, they set off for Gretna Green. Not much goes right on their trip, but he begins to see his life in a new light, and wonders if he could actually have everything that he thought he couldn’t have.
