Deborah Raney is just a great author – one of my favorites. Such strong inspirational themes. This one was such a tear-jerker I had to take a break about half-way thru but it is a great story.
I loved this book so much that I watched the movie based on this book. As usual the movie did not do it justice and left out some very critical parts of the story. I love that the book did not follow the “normal” path but showed a God honoring man following a God honoring path that was inspirational. It does have a happy ending and will bless you …
Excellent
Subject matter was difficult but the author did a great job dealing with Alzheimer’s desiese.
This was a beautiful story. I cried several times. It showed the beautiful reward of obedience in the midst of temptation. Glory be to God!
I have loved this series they are so moving and full of grace
Both a haunting story of the toll Alzheimers takes on a family and a story of second-chance love. Wonderfully compassionate story that will move you.
Deborah Randy writes about life & it’s difficulties. I enjoy her books.
I read it so long ago that I cannot remember the story.
A Vow to Cherish is a story of the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease an a person, a family, and the spouse left behind. John and Ellen Brighton’s story could be any man’s or woman’s story. Heart-rending and inspirational, it reminds us of the meaning of our wedding vows and the meaning of true love. I watched the movie many years ago. A Vow to …
Very good book!
It was informative, since I have a husband with dementia it prepared me with what could be a head. It confirmed my belief that what ever happens the important thing is to keep your eyes on the Lord.
Oh my goodness, if you want a good book to read that will bring tears to your eyes, this one is for you. I loved reading this book!
Very hard to read. I had to put it down for a while. I had a feeling where it was going. I have had 2 of my dad’s sisters to have Alzheimer’s, though late in life. He could not visit his older sister any longer, she did not know who he was. It’s a very sad condition for family. It was hard to read about it in such detail. Of course one wonders if …
It was a good story of faith and devotion.
One of the best books I have read in a long time.
This book was so good! It was realistic and so down to earth. I could not wait to see what happened next.
This was an excellent eye opener and page turner for people affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
I don’t know how I’ve missed reading this before, as I love Deborah Raney’s books. While it was sad, it was such a good read. Encouraging to everyone to hold onto
the vows we make. In sickness and in health, for better or for worse……mean what
you say and the world will be a better place.
Now I can begin to understand what my friends and their families are going through when their loved ones are diagnosed with this horrible disease. It steals the very life out of everyone, not just the person with Alzheimers. Very well written.
