A Very Terry Christmas by Jacki James is the very first book in A Snow Globe Christmas series, eight novellas by eight different authors. This is my very first book by Jacki.
Nicolas Stavros bought the house in Avana Springs because he was supposed to share it with his boyfriend. His boyfriend who wanted to live in a small town instead of the big city. But after he bought the house, they broke up. So Nic plans to sell the house after it’s been renovated and move back to the city where he belongs. He is definitely not a small town guy.. But once he meets the cute flower shop owner, he just might reconsider that plan.
Terry Sullivan loves living in Avana Springs where he’s lived all his life. He bought the flower shop about a year ago. This will be his first Christmas as a business owner and he couldn’t be more excited.
Nic doesn’t do Christmas. He just doesn’t see the point of it all. He works from home and isn’t much of a people person and considers himself a city guy. Terry loves every single thing about Christmas and thrives in the small town environment. He’s happy and everyone loves him. These two couldn’t be more different. But the moment they met, that was pretty much it. They just fit.
“Terry seemed to experience everything. Some people moved through their day doing what needed to be done, but not him. He did everything like he expected it to be special.”
Nic needs help decorating his house for Christmas and Terry is up for the job. In return, he plans to teach Nic how to love Christmas. This couldn’t have been a sweeter book and it was just what I needed right now. I needed all the warm and fuzzy Christmas cheer. All of Terry’s excitement and smiles. Poor Nic never stood a chance. I definitely want to check out the other books in this series but I loved the way this author wrote this and will also be checking through her back list. I hope you love Nic and Terry as much as I did!
This is a light and fun Christmas read and a great way to start off my huge holiday reading pile. Sometimes you just need low angst, instalove. Especially, this year. I like the way that Terry helps to draw Nico out slowly bit by bit. Bring on the Christmas Cheer.
Terry-rific!
This was a fluffy delight to read. Nico was a Christmas grump but Terry’s joy completely obliterated the grumpiness. Nico and Terry falling in love and enjoying Christmas is pretty much the entire plot. It’s a simple plot, but the characters are likable and I had fun reading the book.

The Grinch falling for the merriest Christmas Elf ever? Hey, it’s Christmas!
What a wonderfully sweet Christmas story! Surly city boy who hates all things Christmasy falls for a small town boy who is all about the joys of the season. You will laugh, cry, and fall in love with these men. They pulled me in from the first pages and wouldn’t let me out! I loved this book.
Jacki has created an enchanting town filled with intriguing characters. There is joy, passion, childlike wonder, loyal friends, family, and puppies! And a snow globe that may just have enough magic in it to last forever. This story will have you believing in Christmas miracles.
This is Terry and Nicolas’s story. Nico moved to town with his boyfriend. Before the renovations on their house were finished, their relationship was over. A very sweet fast reading book about remembering the joys of Christmas and the possiblility of finding love again. After being convinced by his exboyfriend to move from the city into the suburbs and doing a remodel their house Nic finds himself alone and not really liking where he lives so decides to sell and move back to the city. He finds the best way to do that is to decorate his house for the Christmas parade, not really into Christmas and at a loss how to decorate he is at his wits end. While outside messing with his lights he meets Terry a local buisness owner who offers to help and maybe together they can find love looking decorating for Christmas.
Terry and Nico’s holiday story was short, fun and full of holiday spirit. The two opposites attracted right away to each other and Terry was able to help Nico out through the holiday season. A quick and sweet read!
This book was so awesome!! This will get you into the Christmas spirit just like Terry did for Nico!! Avana Springs is small town outside of the big city. Nico is ready to sell his house and move back to the city. His realtor suggest he put his house on the Christmas Home Tour to get more people to see the changes be made renovating. But Nico is not about Christmas, nor does he have a clue about decorating. Terry, owner of the flower shop sees him struggling with lights, always one to help they make a deal. Nico will do Christmas events in town with Terry and Terry will decorate house for the home tour!
What a fun, enjoyable, sweet falling in love romance with the spirit of the holidays, gathering with family and friends!! Nico actually might enjoy the magic Terry brings to his life, maybe for many Christmas’ to come!
Definitely a 5 star Hallmark like romance..okay I’d give this many, many more stars if they let me!! Fabulous!!!
Nico is a grump and against everything Christmassy. But then his life is taken over by Terry,a nativity enthusiast.
I can’t tell you how much fun was it was to watch Nico being swept off his feet by Terry. How adorable he is every time he has a moment to stop and realize just how much out of character he’s been acting since he’s known the cute florist. And I loved it when Nico realized that he’s found home with Terry in Avana Springs.
Everything about is sweet, colorful and happy. Read it and you’ll have your heart filled with festive joy and romance. Just read it and you won’t regret it.
What a wonderful way to spend a few hours during the holiday season. I devoured A Very Terry Christmas in one afternoon. We all need a Terry to help us remember the joys of the holiday season. Nico especially benefits from spending time with Terry and seeing the world through his eyes. It’s so easy to get caught up in life that we sometimes forget to live in the moment.
These two together are perfect. They balance each other, like missing puzzle pieces. The chemistry and connection between them jumps off the page. Following along to their HEA was amazing. There are some great secondary characters that I hope will be getting their own stories. I know I would be quite happy to revisit Avana Springs!
