Can two cute kittens bring four human hearts together?Single dad and successful builder Alex Peña promises his daughter, Vicki, a rescue kitten for her February 1st birthday. But, when they arrive at the shelter, little Vicki begs to keep two! There are only two kittens left in a litter, and Alex’s heart goes out to the small pair. When he agrees to let Vicki adopt both cats, Alex has no clue … cats, Alex has no clue that a certain single mom and her child have already set their sights on the same tiny tabbies.
Melanie Brooks spends her days as an accomplished interior designer. Off the clock, she’s a caring, yet sometimes frazzled, single mom to six-year-old Lisa. When Lisa asks for a brother-and-sister kitten duo for her birthday, Melanie caves, never guessing that their adoption paperwork will get lost—with the kittens going to another family…
Alex, who is all about compromise, is convinced there’s a way to make this work. Melanie, who doesn’t do messy situations, is not so sure. Once the kitty-matchmaking-mischief begins, will Melanie and Alex be able to resist falling for each other? Or, will this turn out to be a very purrfect Valentine’s for all?

Two little girls in the same Kindergarten
class share the same birthday. Each one
of them wants a kitten for their special
day. Both girls go to the animal shelter
separately and pick out the same two
kittens that happen to be litter brother
and sister. But the paperwork for the one
child’s family request to adopt gets mislaid.
Each single parent talks the children into
each little girl taking one kitten then by
arranging play dates the girls and the
kittens can get together.
How will this workout?? Will the magic of
the Valentine’s Day bring two lonely single
parents and children together through the
antics of the two love able fur babies??
This is a novella is a talented written story.
The characters are well defined, relatable
and the fur babies add to magic of the
season.
A Highly Recommended Read!!!

Ginny Baird is back with a Valentine read that’s sure to leave a smile on your face. A Very Purrfect Valentine is a magical story that makes you believe in fate. This is the story of two single parents who are sure they aren’t ready to tackle love or even date again.
All Vicki Peña and Lisa Brooks want for their 6th birthday is a little kitten. When the girls separately visit their local animal shelter with their respective parent they’re saddened that there are only two kittens left. The girls can’t stand the idea that by them only getting one kitten the other will be left alone. They convince their parent to let them have them both. After the mandatory 48 hour waiting period, the girls and their parents arrive at the shelter to pick up the kittens. When an administrative mishap occurs, the parents work out a solution, which will leave everyone happy. It turns out the families are neighbors. The girls will each get to keep a kitten and they will have girl and kitten playdates.
All the playdates result in Vicki’s father Alex and Lisa’s mother Melanie spending time together. Over the course of weeks, they actually get to know each other pretty well. The kittens, sweetly named Sugar and Spice seem to make sure they help their adult humans realize they are all meant to be one big happy family. It doesn’t hurt that Vicki and Lisa try in their own little way to push their parents together.
If you are a lover of kittens and all of their little antics, as well as adorable little six years, then this sweet Valentine’s Day romance read is for you. While the story culminates on Valentine’s Day, it can easily be read at any time of the year. I’m partial to imagining this as a Christmas romance.
**Received a copy of the book from the author and voluntarily reviewed.**
Such a sweet story. Alex and Melanie are both single parents with daughters who have the same birthday. They find out that their daughters wanted to adopt the same two cats and that they live near each other. Is it Fate? As their daughters become good friends, they also grow closer. How can they resist?
If you are looking for a sweet, fun novella, this is the one! The kittens are adorable as are the two girls who want them. Alex Pena is a single dad trying to raise his daughter Vicki. Melanie Brooks is a single mom trying to raise Lisa. Both have a hard time saying no to them, especially when they turn on their sad puppy dog faces. The adoption went awry and the girls each ended up with one kitten. Karma was bringing them all together.
A Very Purrfect Valentine’s by Ginny Baird. Wonderful little girls, mischievous kittens, and a romance that was destined to be makes a fun and heartwarming quick read. I love how this author creates sweet entertaining family stories. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This novella is a joyful and uplifting story of finding love and blending families. Each scene brings the reader into the romance of Alex and Melanie. The funny and unexpected little things kids do everyday draw the parents closer. An addition of an interfering mother and a former boyfriend add tension to the developing romance. The author skillfully creates depth in characters and nuance in words that lends drama to the story. I received an ARC for review. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for an enjoyable romantic read.
A single mom and a single dad each with a daughter and both wanting the same two kittens. Loved how these adults were able to compromise. A really sweet romance as well as building friendships and possibly a family. Great Valentine read.
When two kindergarten age girls want to adopt the same two kittens, the stage is set for a sweet Valentine romance that left me in a happy place. Alex wants his daughter to adjust to their new life so he agrees to adopt a kitten or maybe two. Meanwhile, Melanie and her daughter are going to adopt the same two furry babies as Lisa’s birthday present. What happens next is heartwarming! Alex suggests that each girl take home one kitten. I loved his generous spirit. I didn’t want anyone to be sad. The kittens are a cute catalyst. The girls bond and become BFFs and their parents are attracted to each other. Love reigns just as it should. Ginny Baird did an excellent job with this novella. The story and the characters made me smile. A Very Perfect Valentine is a sweet treat that I enjoyed very much.
