Celebrate the season with this warmhearted charmer from #1 New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery When Princess Bethany’s father, the king, sells one of his best stallions, she insists the animal get the royal treatment. Disguised as Beth Archer, a mere stable hand, she takes him to Happily Inc, California, a quaint wedding destination that’s especially sparkly over the holidays. Rich … holidays.
Rich women have no place on Cade Saunders’s ranch. He wants a down-to-earth girl-next-door type–like Beth Archer. After a few cocoa-flavored kisses by the Christmas tree, Bethany begins to fall for her irresistibly handsome host. But will Cade still want her when he discovers she’s more familiar with a crown than a cowboy hat?

This is the opposite of a Cinderella story. The princess pretends to be a commoner and falls in love. Entertaining, easy-to-read, happily ever after once the drama has subsided. Fun!
Bethany Archer, adopted daughter to the king of El Bahar and a princess, longs for anonymity. When the opportunity comes for her to accompany a thorough bred horse from the royal stable to his new home in Happily, Inc., California, she goes as Beth Smith. Cade Saunders is ecstatic to become the owner of Rida, a stallion from the royal stable of El Bahar and welcomes Beth Smith to his ranch to help the horse acclimate to his new home. Bethany and Cade have both had bad experiences in their relationships and it takes a lot for them to trust another person. Just when romance is in the air, the king comes to visit his daughter and throws everything into a tailspin. This is another wonderful entry to the Happily Inc. series.
Another successful series by Susan Mallery. Warning: these characters become your friends and you want to know what happens in their lives. While each book could stand alone, read them in order because there is a core group of characters.
A Very Merry Princess is part of the Happily Inc series but can also be read as a stand alone story. This is Cade and Bethany’s story. Bethany is the adopted daughter of the King of El Bahar but is struggling to find her place in the world. She travels to Happily Inc, posing as a horse trainer, to transfer ownership of a stallion from the royal stables to Cade Saunders. Cade is starting to build his stables and is stunned when he is allowed to purchase a stallion from the King of El Bahar. Cade and Beth are instantly attracted to each other but past issues and Beth’s current disguise threaten their budding relationship. This is a easy, fun, holiday story with relatable characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
A Very Merry Princess (Happily Inc., #2.5) by Susan Mallery I read this novella a couple of years ago and was happy to read read it when it was included in MEANT TO BE TOGETHER a book I was allowed to preview and review. Princess Bethany and Cade Saunders story…they both have relationship hangups… They meet when her father(the king) sells one of his prize stallions to Cade and “Beth” accompanies his to Cade’s ranch. There is laughter, angst, tears, great friends all leading to a very HEA. Their story continues in MEANT TO BY YOURS.
I am already a fan of Happily Inc and I think I just feel in love with El Bahar!! This is such an easy to read and fall in love with story. The only negative thing is that it’s a novella and not a novel (; Other than that I totally recommend it!!
A Very Merry Princess by Susan Mallery
Princess Bethany decides to go to America to deliver the horse that had been sold to Cade Sanders.
She goes under the name Beth Archer and she falls in love with Cade.
She can not figure out a way to tell him about the princess part and he gets upset with her when he finds out. It was a really good book. I really enjoyed being able to revisit past characters but book is also written so well that you don’t need to have read the other book to follow. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fast read for the holidays.
fun book to read
Great Susan Mallery read.
Susan Mallery is one of my favorite authors and this holiday book did not disappoint. Was it predictable? Yes. Was it formulaic? Yes. Was there a rich family involved? Yes. Did it matter? No. This was a fun, light, enjoyable story with a happy ending. The fact that there was a horse involved was icing on the cake for me. Sometimes a “feel good” story is just the escape needed when life gets a little too hectic. I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it to anyone that likes a good romance.
Would reccomend this book
Enjoyed but too much self thinking
I enjoyed the dilemmas of the characters and the way they played out. The characters introduced different perspectives of living, yet soon identified in similarities that made their lives more unlik e than either imagined. A great read especially if you have a free afternoon or week end.
What a fantastic holiday Happily, Inc. short story. It’s a little different twist on the usual princess type stories, which I think would make it a great candidate to be a holiday movie. There’s love, laughter, friends and family all rolled into a quick read that gets you in the spirit of the season. Looking forward to the next book in Susan Mallery’s delightful series.
Another great story in the on-going series Happily Inc.
Once again, Susan Mallory delivered a funny, romantic story. This time it is about a princess that goes to California disguised as a groom for her father’s stable. There she meets the new owner of the horse that she has raised since it was a colt. The characters in Happily Inc. are real and fun to read about.
