Janus is a lonely vampire, centuries ago Janus lost his beloved Delores to vampire hunters. He swore to find her (vampires believe their soulmates would be reborn) he knows he let her down, and if he ever flubs her again, he’d keep her safe.
Deirdre loves her fiancé, she really does, but she’s scared of him, his temper is beginning to take control of him, to the outside world Brandon is amazing, but if anyone angers him, it’s Deidre’s fault and she pays for it!
Written in the POV of the characters. We read Janus lose his beloved to the vampire hunters….
Years later by chance he discovers her in Hawaii, but she’s with someone else!
I Just wanted to know… if Brandon had been a nice guy, would Janus have left Deirdre/Delores go?
But he’s a bully and when Janus finds out that Brandon hits her, then all bets are off. He’s going to win her back.
A short Christmas holiday story.
I have to admit the backstory held a lot of potential, but the book was a bit of a let down (was it because it was a short story? Probably) so much to pack in and not enough time to get it all in!
Janus was trying to be patient, but Deidre is scared, and then she’s suspicious, and then she’s back to being scared. I found Delores to be a spoilt child.
But I did like the premise of finding a love across time, the idea that you can find that love again and again.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength happiness and love. The story of erotic of sensation. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

Janus waited for Deidra to return to him. When he finally found her she was in an abusive relationship that he ended up saving her from. At first she wasn’t sure about her feelings for a vampire but her memories slowly came back and she realized she loved him.

When you think of getting a second chance you know that it will take some time to get it but for Janus it took over 100 years!! Now thats dedication. This was a very interesting but sweet read.
A Vampires Wish is definitely an sweet delicious addictive page turner that I couldn’t get enough of! I absolutely loved the sweet hot chemistry between Deirdre and Janus! I did however want to strangle Deirdre several times in this story! Other than that it’s definitely a fantastic storyline that made this a super delicious and very delightful smoking hot read! I absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet sexy hot vampire HEA!
Janus is a 250 year old vampire. He lost the love of his life to a vampire hunter. He has been looking for her soul for years. He finally finds her. Deirdre is his love but she doesn’t know it, yet. This was such an exciting book. There was plenty of adventure, suspense, fighting, and plenty of steamy sex. If you love vampire stories this one will rock your world. Book one of the Vampires on Holiday series and I want to read the other books in this series. This is human Deirdre Hahn who is a very bad relationship with Brandon Delaney and vampire Janus Morano’s story. Deirdre and Janus will have so many lifetimes to get their love right. I was happy to see the remarks from Brandon at the end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Vampire Janus Morano hadn’t been able to refuse Major Martin Lear’s invitation to his annual Christmas Ball without creating a scandal, even though they were sworn enemies. Janus was the Captain of His Majesty’s Army and refusing his superior’s invitation would not look good. He was aware that the vampire hunters were attending, although he didn’t know who they were. Why wouldn’t Delores listen to his warning? She seemed to resist everything he said to her, making it much more difficult to protect her. Would the hunters make a move against them here at the Ball? He was relieved when they finally left the Ball to return home.
Walking in the park later that evening, Janus’ wife, Delores, had been killed by the vampire hunters when she again refused to listen to Janus’ warning. She didn’t sense the danger as she threw a snowball, playfully ran from Janus, and wouldn’t come to him when he urgently called her back, inadvertently giving Major Lear the clear shot he needed with the crossbow. Janus had been searching for her throughout time and thought he had finally found her. But she does not recognize him in this present life and is involved with another man.
Deirdre Hahn is on vacation with her abusive boyfriend, Brandon Delaney, who is her boss. Despite his promises, she doesn’t believe that he won’t hurt her again. As she expected, Brandon does beat her again and she runs. Janus helps her and she feels a connection with him, although she is sure they never met.
Janus eventually opens up and tells Deirdre that in a previous life, they were mates and that he is a vampire. Of course, Deirdre – who appears to make consistently bad choices and is not a good judge of character – chooses not to believe Janus and runs again, only to have Brandon capture her. Will Janus be able to protect his former wife? Will she at last be convinced that he was telling her the truth?
This could be an interesting series. The biggest problem I had was accepting the rude Delores/Deirdre whom I didn’t like from the start. The way she brushed Janus off at the Ball to have another dance with Major Lear was beyond rude. Continuing to ignore his warnings and do whatever she pleased just aggravated me. Not being able to warm up to her, it was difficult wishing him success in getting her back. But this is the start of something new, so I do recommend you give it a try because this author does write great stories and I have hopes that this one is merely a slow start to something better!
Vampire Janus Morano lost his wife, his mate, Delores over 150 years ago to vampire hunters. Then he comes upon a woman in Hawaii who appears to be Delores incarnate. Except she doesn’t recognize him and she is with someone else.
Deirdre Hahn is in Hawaii on vacation with her boyfriend, Brandon Delaney, who is also her boss. Her physically abusive boyfriend. He promised her that what happened in Denver would never happen again, but she’s not sure if she can believe him. While out dancing with Brandon, she locks eyes with Janus and feels a connection, but she’s sure she’s never seen him before.
When she flees Brandon after being beaten again Janus rescues her. Again she feels the connection with Janus. Janus eventually tells her he is a vampire and she was his wife in a previous life. Deirdre doesn’t believe him and runs when she gets the chance. Unfortunately for Deirdre, Brandon finds her. Will Janus be able to find Deirdre before Brandon harms her further?
This was a fair read although I found the heroine, Delores/Deirdre, a bit unlikable. In my opinion, I felt she made poor decisions as Delores and Deirdre.

Janus is a very patient person…willing to wait 150 years for a dream to come true. I guess if a vampire can survive for centuries, what is 150 years.

A past love he couldn’t save, found again in the hands of a brutal man, a promise of forever, but she didn’t believe, dreams of the past, escaping because he was a vampire and was afraid he would be like the brutal man, being rescued and figuring out what she desired, and so much more in this story
