REMI review
Remi Bellerive is a wealthy vampire. Made his fortune playing cards. The vampire part is compliments of big brother Luc. They do have history dating back to the early 1800s that you’ll see here. But it’s now a world where supernaturals are well known and accepted. In accordance with the quashed feasts of the sanguinary kind, by the Directive, ordering vampires to limit their intake or suffer the consequences.. (they are no longer seen as criminals or killers.) and with the coming of the internet Luc started an online gambling site where Remi quickly earned a “unbeatable” reputation. There is to be a Tournament in two weeks. These are held in Luc’s home with his wife as a dealer.
Gregor intends to beat Remi Bellerive at this Tournament. He hasn’t lost a game since he got ahold of his good luck charm. Gloria. (he is a very bad vampire) several things are gonna happen in a very short time period. One of these is pretty rare… If a vampire gets close to their fated mate, they will become ill and die if they don’t find and claim that mate….. The Directive’s headquarters in Italy is starting an investigation into reports of drained bodies being found in the swamps of Louisiana….
Gloria gets away from Gregor. Luc becomes ill…. The Directive reps descend on Luc’s home and a trap is set for the vampire who is draining people.
The universe sure has a twisted sense of humor.
This book had most of my emotions on high alert from the very beginning. I changed my feelings about a few characters as they developed more and I saw them for real. Still others took me by surprise. I do recommend this to 18+ due to adult, erotic content.
It’s now a world where supernaturals are well known and accepted. No longer seen as criminals or killers, and the Directive quashed feasts of the sanguinary kind, ordering vampires to limit their intake or suffer the consequences……but, there’s always the few, blinded by their own greed that refuse to conform….so the Directive’s headquarters in Italy is starting an investigation into reports of drained bodies being found in the swamps of Louisiana.
Remi Bellerive’s most prized possession is the deck of cards given to him back in the early 1800s by his wife a month before she succumbed to malaria, taking their unborn child with her…
Over the years his skills gained him a reputation playing cards….Then with the coming of the internet, Luc started a gambling site where Remi competed online, becoming very wealthy… Remi’s name had become renowned in the gaming circles for years until whispers of a better player, someone with the screen name, “Triple Ace “who claims to be unbeatable due to his lucky charm…. ( there are no words to describe how heinous this evil vampire is)
There is a live poker tournament for all competing players to be held in Luc’s home….But as the time approaches , a whole bunch of stuff is going on at once…Jana and Clarence from the Directive has descended on New Orleans…. Luc gets hit with the thirst, which makes him dangerous. He must find his blood mate before he goes mad and dies…. Triple Ace has lost his lucky charm….. you could have knocked me over with a feather with the who, what, and why’s that goes on from here…. I had to remind myself to breathe at one point. I promise you that this one is gonna rock your world!
New Orleans and something weird is going on. Remi loves playing the cards and has made a huge fortune at it. However, something starts happening to him, and he has no idea at first.
Michelle is his human consort of sorts. I hope she makes it.
Enter Sophie… This poor girl has a bunch of drama going on.
Luc his brother is trying to pickup the pieces, and then they all get a visit from the Directive. UH OH. It seems humans are disappearing and Vampires are playing rough? Well grab your copy and find out exactly what is going on. And we get a few shockers out of this book. Kudos’ to the author for that.
I enjoyed this story, so much so I read it straight through without getting up.

This is really a phenomenal book from the first page, to the last-full of Blood Thirst and Murder.
••••••••••••
Remi Bellerive is a Vampire who plays high stakes poker. His wife, Grace and their unborn child died from a disease in the early eighteen-hundreds. Her last gift to him was a deck playing card which became his price possession. Although his cards were discolored plus really worn he still played with his deck of cards, he was the undisputed champion. He was always playing and winning he even won Michelle. There was one person called TripleAce who won occasionally in it put Remi in a bad place. What Remi didn’t know was TripleAce wanted to win, so bad he’d do what had to do, no matter what it was he would do it. TripleAce played dirty.

Sophie is Human, she was also Gregors good luck charm. He was very abusive and he kept her hostage. If she could only escape before he hands
her over to Hans.

At The Directive’s headquarters in Europe they have notice someone’s on a killing spree in New Orleans they sent some detectives to search for the serial killer. Clarence, Jana and Magno met Ethan in New Orleans Airport and then the hunt was on of coarse they are Werewolves Shifters they love to run and hunt.

A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
Another great read from the Vampire’s Thirst World!
Remi has been alive for a long time. After tragedy took his wife and unborn child from him he descended into darkness, only saved by his brother, Luc, and the mark of a Vampire. Now living amongst humans and keeping himself occupied as a Poker Champ, he is content drinking bagged blood and taking the occasional “companion”. His latest trophy was the wife of one of poker victims, who treated his wife atrociously so Remi “liberated” her.
Sophie has been used and abused for too long. She is seen as a lucky charm in her captors plot against Remi. But when she finally makes her bid for freedom, she may be dealing with more than just a vengeful vamp, she is about to land headfirst into a relationship she is neither prepared nor ready for!
Remi is a little cavalier when it comes to love and relationships. Unlike others in this series he does not want love or a bloodmate. But he does feel affection for Michelle and I did feel sorry for her when he realises that she is not who will sate his thirst. Sophie is in need of a hero, even one with fangs! She has such a terrible life but sometimes she just gets in her own way. I did enjoy the slow burn in this book, Remi and Sophie are both kind of in the dark and it takes a while for them to realise what’s going on – no instalust here!
I enjoyed meeting Remi’s family and friends and even visiting with The Collective! Darker than the others I’ve read so far but definitely worth the few tears I spilled over Sophie and her life!
Remi Bellerive lost his wife and child while he was gone making a living, this was in the 1800’s. He became so despondent that he became an addict and a drunk almost to the point of killing himself. His big brother Luc Bellerive finally steps in and offers him a second chance of life and to become immortal. Remi takes it.
Remi is now a rich, handsome and successful card player. At one game he won a wife of one of the players, Michelle. He thought he would just keep her for a little while but he came to care deeply for her. Then the HUNGER struck! His bloodmate, Sophie, is near but belongs to the evil and sadistic Vampire Gregory who won’t readily give her up. Will Remi be able to claim her and satisfy his hunger. Have a read and find out for yourself, you won’t be sorry!
The author has given us a strong, sexy, edge of your seat storyline with strong characters. Grabs you in from the beginning to the end. Definitely engages all your emotions!! I loved this story and highly recommend it.
