Valentine’s Day is all about love. And God has a special plan for a small-town woman and a road-weary singer. When Scarlett Evans meets Grammy-nominated Christian singer/songwriter Joseph Slater, their attraction dances like the intricate melodies he plays on his guitar. The way he looks at her—like she’s perfect, just as she is—is a balm to her recently broken heart. But who is she kidding? …
But who is she kidding? Stars like Joseph pick slim, demure, beautiful blondes, not loud, boisterous redheads with I’m-on-my-thousandth-diet curves. Besides, right after a local Valentine’s Day benefit concert, he’ll do what men have done to her all her life—hit the road.
Scarlett-with-two-t’s is the answer to Joseph’s prayer. This exquisite, vivacious woman has reconnected him with his muse. He’s writing new songs for the first time in years, with lyrics that make him ache for something his relentless touring schedule never allowed. A home. Family. Love.
But as just as Scarlett’s hesitation starts to melt, she freezes and pulls away. Now he’s praying for the right lyrics to bring her back—and show her that with God’s guidance, they can rewrite their future as duet.
All his life, he’s followed a song. Is God showing him it’s time to put down roots?

Scarlett has just gotten out of a relationship when she meets a handsome Christian musician. Joseph and Scarlett have great chemistry, but Scarlett doesn’t want to start a relationship with someone just passing through town.
A great addition to this series.
A Valentine to Cherish by Josie Riviera
This story starts with Scarlett=love this name for this book because of all the red tones.
She’s changing after her bethothed leaves to head back to his families home to take over for his ailing father. She is going to change, be more quiet, loss weight and lot of other things.
Love that she’s a mentor for a young girl and they are able to spend time together because of Scarlett’s job at the animal store. Love how the author finds all these cool jobs for the characters in this town.
They listen to a song played by a man in the park and go to the bookstore where they plan to purchase Valentine party tickets. After talking to the author and writer of the songs he will buy them the tickets and they talk a bit, getting to know one another.
She doesn’t want to get her hopes up to only be let down because he moves on with his singing tour. Joseph is the man who wants her heart and the way she is-he doesn’t want her to change a thing.
They get to spend quality time together and they discuss their past lives. Love how religion plays a big part in this book and she uses religion to help her get over her fears of not being good enough and uses it when she also wants food she knows she shouldn’t be eating.
You wonder if they will ever really get together as he plans on traveling and she just wants to stay in Cherish….
Heart shaped meatloaf recipe included. Note from the author and about the author are inlcuded at the end.
Excerpt from a Christmas to Cherish is also included. Other works by the author are highlighted at the end. Can’t wait to read more from this author-so very descriptive and detailed-you can picture the scenes as if you are there.
I received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
A inspirational tale with music and sweet romance in the town of Cherish .Love the charitable groups that inspires Joseph and Scarlett to be the wholesome characters they are .
A Valentine to Cherish (Cherish #3) was a great read by Josie Riviera. Joseph Slater is an upcoming Christian singer and songwriter. He only plans on being in Cherish, South Carolina for a few days. Once he meets Scarlett Evans, he knows his plans may change. Scarlett appeals to him in a way that no other woman has before. I really enjoyed reading Joseph and Scarlett’s story and can’t wait to read more by the author.
A Valentine To Cherish by Josie Riviera
This is book 3 the Cherish series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone. If you read as a stand-alone, you will go back and pick up more of the series. This is a very light, easy read but deals with some past situations in Scarlett’s life.
Scarlett (with 2 t’s) and Joseph (with a J) meet when he comes to town for a concert. He is a Christian musician with a writing block. They meet at an event where he gives her a CD and asks her to be at his concert.
Throughout the time that Joseph is in town, the relationship grows, but Scarlett is wary of someone with a transient lifestyle. Her heart for others, and volunteering with Big Sisters has impressed Joseph. She feels that she is large and unattractive while Joseph sees her as she really is. This is a very sweet HEA.
I enjoyed reading this story. I loved reading about Scarlett and Joeseph. Their story was beautiful and their is so much growth for them in getting to know each other. Joseph is a famous singer/songwriter of songs of faith and Scarlett just lost her full-time job at the vet clinic but loves volunteering with her local Big Brother Big Sister program. They meet at the local music shop and sparks fly. This is a wonderful, clean, Christian, romance and a fun read.
Welcome back to the small town of Cherish, South Carolina for this Valentine’s Day romance. Scarlett Evans has lost her job and her fiancé when her employer/boyfriend sells his veterinary practice and moves out of town.
Scarlett and Christian recording artist Joseph Slater, who will headline a community fundraiser, have mutual friends who just happen to be selling tickets to that event. Given the opportunity to meet him, Scarlett forces herself to remember that he is just passing through town and that any attention he pays to her now will be quickly forgotten on his end.
Or will it? The author weaves quite a romance as Joseph realizes that he is falling for Scarlett and has his work cut out making her believe his feelings are real.
Ms. Riviera does a beautiful job of bringing her characters to life in this sweet novella. We are reintroduced to some we met in an earlier story, but this book can easily be read without reading any of the other Cherish stories. There is sufficient background provided for us to feel these people are quite real and to understand why they act as they do.
Remember, A Valentine to Cherish is a Christian based story. Readers of other faiths, or those who have no religious beliefs who will be offended by this, need to keep that in mind when deciding if they will read this book. For the rest of us, I recommend that you get your copy now.
I enjoyed this book because it deals with mentoring girls & boys. Scarlett does a great job at that & Joseph comes to realize the value of it for himself. He is great at encouraging Scarlett & trying to make her realize she is beautiful even though she thinks she is big & no guy can possibly be interested in her. I received a free copy from the author. This is my honest, voluntary opinion.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was an fun, inspiring story that brought you to another world. Great characters that were relate-able with a realistic story.

Book three in the Cherish series has a very good Christian, Valentine storyline, and is well written. This is Scarlett Evans and Grammy-nominated Christian singer/songwriter Joseph Slater’s story. This is another clean, sweet, short read and great story by this author! I stayed up way too late finishing it because I couldn’t put it down. Joseph is an international Christian artist and songwriter who is lonely and burned out on traveling constantly. Scarlett is a big hearted, giving woman with self confidence issues and is a homebody. They’re drawn to each other from the first time they meet but they both have a lot to work through. My favorite part is when he sang to her at the concert, it was so romantic!
Beautifully written story following the theme of faith and trust. God can overcome our past issues and has a perfect future planned for us, if we would only trust Him.
Scarlett longs to have what her friend has – a forever love. She struggles with her self image and can’t image someone like Joseph would really be interested in her. Joseph is such a sweet heart and longs to show Charlotte how much he wants to give her forever. A really sweet ending.
I totally enjoyed reading this Christian book. The story of a plus sized woman who’s fiancé recently broke off their engagement and left town. Joseph Slater a well known Christian singer and composer becomes smitten with Scarlett.
Really enjoyed reading this book, as with all Josie Riviera’s books. A Christian music star who loves to travel comes to Cherish, South Carolina. He is immediately attracted to Scarlett (with two t’s) who has finally found home in Cherish and does not HAVE plan on leaving. Read this one to follow their journey to their HEA.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book should be made into a Hallmark movie! I loved it. Come and be swept away with Scarlett and Joseph’s story. This book is full of emotions, happy, sad and everything in between. It has a wonderful recipe at the end of the book. I highly recommend this book. Thank you Josie Riviera for the free copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
A beautiful story of being accepted as you and finally finding a love you have been missing. Joseph, a handsome singer, just needs to convince Scarlett she is beautiful and worthy to be loved. That’s what we all want a place to be accepted and Cherish, South Carolina just may be the place. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
I enjoyed this book. It was easy to relate to Scarlett as I too I’ve struggled with my weight all my life. However, I wish she would have had a little more self-esteem and not been quite so hard on herself. Joseph sounds like a gem and it was clear that God brought the two of them together. I love that the Big Brothers/Big Sister program played a part in the story. This author is so good at bringing helpful programs into her books.
The narrative was done well.
