Nice quick read which was very tastefully written!
I love this series of book. I love books that show how God can help us through life’s challenges
Wholesome, touching story
Loved this book!
As a mature woman, I enjoy books with older characters who show that life can be fulfilling after 40. This book is a sweet romance. My only complaint is that the book ended with some serious issues unresolved. In other words the story seemed unfinished. This is common in books of a series. The best books finish the story well in a book and then start a new chapter of the characters lives in the next.
Held my attention. Completed book in one Sunday afternoon. Very entertaining, LOVED the characters….
Second chances, this is a good romance for more mature readers. A clean realistic book with relatable characters.
How an Australian widow and a Widower from Texas meet in Ireland and establish a relationship makes for interesting reading. Read it in one sitting!
This was a sweet novella, it was too short for a novel.
Oh my what a super good read. Love later in life. Loved this look into new love after death of spouses. Well done, Juliette. Highly recommend. I received an advance reader copy from the author. Opinions are my own.
Wendy is in her 50, widow, lives in Australia, with 3 adult children, busy with the job and the planned wedding.
Bruce lives in Texas and meets Wendy during a trip… lovely story, great characters.
I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. I felt a connection to the characters in the first chapter.
A beautiful story of finding love again after the loss of a spouse. It’s amazing how God sets things up, such as this older couple from different sides of the world meeting in Ireland. Their story of new love and faith in trusting God to work things out is heartwarming.
A beautiful story of finding love again!
I really loved the way the author described Wendy and Bruce, including their first loves and how they missed them. But God had something more in mind for them, and their new story is so dramatic and lovely, catching them both by surprise! This is definitely a book you will want to read, and I hope you enjoy it, too.
Wendy and Bruce’s story is truly amazing and inspirational. When Wendy decides to travel to the parties her life will change. When Bruce accidentally bumped into Wendy he couldn’t believe the feelings he was getting. All the time that they spend together they realize that only God could have brought them to meet each other. Watching the journey these two take is truly amazing. You will feel God working throughout this whole wonderful story. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
This love story of Wendy and Bruce starts when neither is looking for romance. As an older couple they are worried about their adult children’s reactions and also wonder if they are dishonering their first spouses memories. This is a charming story of finding themselves falling in love and making beautiful memories of their own.
I received a complimentary copy and chose to give an honest review.
Juliette has written another beautiful story about second chances. This is a very easy to read story that celebrates finding love again after the death of a spouse. This is a sweet story about love finding two people who are not necessarily looking for love. Love overcomes the obstacles of distance. The characters are dealing with issues that are believable. I received a copy of this book but have voluntarily chosen to write an review of my honest opinion of this story.
A Time to Treasure is a well-written Christian romance about a mature couple with adult children. Both had their spouses die and were now alone. I enjoyed the scene in which they meet. I loved the main characters, their love for each other, and for their children–even the ones that weren’t living right. I liked how they turned to God for help and wisdom. The setting ranges from Australia, to Texas, Ireland, Fiji, London, Paris, and Venice. The story moves at a good pace. The dialogue flows well. The HEA is fabulous! I hope to be privileged to read more of Juliette Duncan’s work. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this lovely romance.
Wendy, an Australian and Bruce a Texan, have both lost their beloved mates ten years ago. They are on their first vacation since their deaths when Bruce happens to spill his coffee on Wendy at breakfast in London. They chat for a while and agree to meet in Paris as their next city to visit. Both realize a strong connection, but can they allow this friendship to grow into a chance for love when their homes are oceans apart and they both have three adult children? Juliette Duncan writes a very heartwarming story. Don’t miss it!
A beautiful story of unexpected love. Both of the main characters have lost their spouse and they are surprised by the attraction they feel. Both of them have issues in their families that cause them to question how they could be together. It is a story of faith, love, and joy. I really enjoyed it! (I received an advance review copy from the author. The opinions expressed here are completely my own.)
