Avery, a young widowed mother, strives to care for a beaten-down domestic survivor on the ranch. How might Scout Westbrook, a burly young military veteran influence both of their lives?Nestled in the hills of the Lake Michigan shoreline, the ranch overlooks open fields and rich oak, maple and beech tree groves. It has been owned by the Katzen family for generations. Once a working ranch … ranch producing cattle and milking cows, it has now turned into a therapy ranch for a multitude of special populations.
The leaves are beginning to change on the ranch and the early fall harvest is in full gear. There is much to get completed before the long winter months settle in. Jake is excited to have Scout, his military friend come and work on a dilapidated barn that Jack just can’t handle after his recent accident. What else do you think Scout will be interested in trying to build on the ranch?
Avery is caring for her daughter Jayne and a “new employee” at the B&B while receiving thoughtful advice from the older ladies. Will she have time to pursue a relationship in the midst of all this responsibility?
A Time To Tear Down and A Time To Build is the fourth book in the Living River Ranch contemporary Christian romance series. All books written in this series follow Ecclesiastes 3:18 “A Time for Everything” If you like a cleanly written romance series with fully developed characters that move through a series of books, you will love the A Time For Everything Series.

Avery gets a chance to welcome a newcomer, Emily, as she herself was welcomed when she started working at the ranch. Scout joins workers on the ranch, too, as he finally finds someplace to dig his heels in and stay for the first time. As with each of the books in this series, the ranch is full of a healing, godly presence. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
Book four is another short, wonderful story! Avery is young and widowed with a baby girl. Scout was to be a temporary employee to help out while Jack recovers from his injury. Avery doesn’t want to give her heart temporarily. Great read!
I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
Another sweet Novella. It was cool to see this character’s book after meeting her in the first one. Such a sad topic this book deals with. Sweet characters and budding relationships.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I hope there is more to this wonderful story. Everlee writes such touching stories. I can’t wait to see how this one ends. These season books are remarkable. Full of all the things you want in a clean romance. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
Another short and easy to read story that makes us think about letting things go and starting again. The ranch as always is teeming is people, work and renewed expectations for the next season, the next town get together, the next couple and so on. It´s a story about starting again, giving yourself a chance. Well written it keeps the reader´s attention and makes him/her look forward for the next book.
I received a copy of this book from the author/bookfunnel in exchange for an honest review.

This series keeps getting better. I received this book as a free ARC copy.
Avery is afraid to trust the new hand, Scout. He is ex-military. As a widow, she doesn’t want to become dependant on someone, only to trip and fall when that someone leaves her life again. She is starting to heal from her loss at the Living River Ranch.
Can she trust another “here today, gone tomorrow” type of man?
Read and find what happens between the pair.
Follow a new character, Emily, as she joins the ranch’s family of workers.
Each installment of this series has me looking forward to the next. I’m loving the happenings going on at the Living River Ranch. In each book, someone new needs therapy, which makes for an inspirational read. Emily is definitely in need of therapy, after what she has endured. In some of the books, you may shed a few tears, but at the end you will be smiling because of the promise of a new romance in the future. In this installment, Avery, the single mom-her husband died in Combat, becomes closer to Scout. Scout is Jake’s high school friend and he comes to work on the ranch. I can’t wait to read the next installment. If you’re looking for a clean, inspirational series, you won’t regret choosing this series.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
