I love this book. I feel it is one of the best he has written.
Such a great depiction of the injustices of segregation and prejudice.
Early Grisham at his best, with legalese added to action, drama and suspense.
It make for a really good read.
So much emotion – really rivoting!
John Grisham never disappoints.
His first book was his best… and they are all very good
Great read
This is Grisham’s best book ever!
My favorite John Grisham book. It grabs you and keeps you reading !
The best mixture of humour, tears and expectations. No disappointment if you can keep hope alive!
great
As with his other books, I could hardly put it down. It took me 4 tries before I could get past the rape scene near the beginning. My stomach kept turning and I hated the rapists and their attitudes about the little girl. People like them should have a special place reserved in hell.
The first book I have every read by John and it was terrific!!
One of the best book I ever read

A very good Grisham book and they are getting hard to come by.
Loved it
I’ve been a reader all my life. I’ve been known to read at red lights. This was my all time favorite book until Mr. Grisham’s newest one The Reckoning which now is tied for favorite. He truly has a talent for stirring up the emotions. I’ve read this book three times and have watched the movie many more. It’s not a story you want to miss.
I lived thus book. It was a bit graphic regarding violence in spots but I loved it.
When I first started reading this novel I had to put it down because I found one of the early scenes too upsetting. I didn’t go back to the book for a few years until after I’d read several other Grisham books that I’d loved. I got past the upsetting scene and this time I found that it became my favorite John Grisham titles.
