I have just enjoyed a wonderful visit to Mackinac Island, stayed at the amazing and gorgeous Spring Beauty Inn, sampled chocolate cherry fudge, took in a celebrity wedding, tasted DEELIOUS food, suffered a little vertigo (HaHa! I’m not a fan of heights! ;), and received a whole lot of excellent Biblical advice and encouragement….. Oh, wait! It was all a marvelous romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. Seriously, every single one of the characters walked right off the page (in the case of one of them, it was a bit scary! LOL! SUPER Mean Girl!!!), and you felt like you were right there in the middle of this fascinating romance. I was so tickled when Mike and Kathy finally got their Time To Dance to the music of love that God had put in their hearts. A Time To Dance is an absolutely beautiful love story.
Spring Beauty Inn is a well written contemporary romance with nicely developed characters we can all identify with.
After growing up and establishing her own business as a wedding planner, Kathy Murray’s on her way to success. But when she meets up with Mike Pierce, a guy from her past, she’s determined not to lose her heart to him again. But can she remember she’s an adult now and no longer a wide-eyed teenager?
Rose Verde’s lovely story, set in beautiful Mackinaw Island, is a romance lover’s read. A delightful escape for a long winter evening.
What does a girl do when it’s her time to shine at her job, but her brother doesn’t let her? To make matters worse, he brings in her high school crush, Mike, to help her. In Kathy’s mind, this is her last chance to turn Sleep Beauty Inn to the “in” destination wedding place. So what is the bride and groom are big shots in California? Mike, who is one of the “must- have” wedding planners in LA, thinks he is just coming to help Kathy since she has never handled an event this big. So… sparks fly as soon as Mike gets of the ferry. Unfortunately, these are several different types of sparks. This is a very good story. It is the reissue of one of Ms. Verde’s earlier books, Sleep Beauty Inn. In a Time to Dance, readers see how Kathy is challenged emotionally and spiritually. She can’t see that God is giving her a way to succeed if she only would open her eyes and heart. The characters get in some sticky situations but it all comes together in the end. This is another faith-filled, clean romance that most romance readers would enjoy.
If you love clean romance, “Spring Beauty Inn” is the perfect book for you. As I was pulled into the characters’ lives, I found myself drawn to the faith aspect of their story.
Kathy fell in love with her brother’s best friend as a teenager. Now five years later he’s back in her life, helping plan a celebrity wedding. Does she still have feelings for him?
Mike finds himself in a dilemma when he’s drawn to Kathy. Should he stay in a loveless relationship with Jessica just to please his parents, should he follow his heart, or is there still another choice—let his faith lead him in the right direction?
When life isn’t straight forward, who do you listen to? Your own desires, the words of others, or that still small voice that gently guides you in the way you should go?
This was a sweet story with a guaranteed happy ending. I recommend you curl up and read it today.
This book was given to me courtesy of the author and this is my honest opinion of the book.
Kathy’s crush comes to help her with a high profile wedding. She isn’t happy about it. Mike finally “sees” her and wants to be more than friends – one problem he has a girlfriend and he is best friends with Kathy’s brother. No cheating but I wish he had broken up with his gf before he started spending alone time with Kathy.
Kathy has been attracted to her brother’s friend Mike for years, but he only saw her as a little sister. It isn’t until Ryan asks Mike with his wedding planning company and experience to come in an assist her with a celebrity wedding at his inn that Mike starts to see her in a romantic light. I didn’t like that Mike was kissing her while saying he was committed to another girl that his mother wanted him to marry. She ended up being a selfish nasty cheater, but he still should have worked harder on ending that relationship before becoming romantically involved with Kathy. I wouldn’t have known what to believe if I was Kathy either. There were plenty of funny and romantic moments. Mackinac Island sounds like a nice place to visit with lots of relaxing activities.
This is another good, short romance story. I like the interaction between Kathy & Mike. There is the very awful, bad fiance that Mike has to make a decision about-keep because his mother wants Mike to marry her or dump for Kathy. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary, honest opinion.
I just finished A Time To Dance (Previously published as Spring Beauty Inn) (A Love Through Time Series Book 4) by Rose Verde. This is a lovely story of two young wedding planners and how they realized their love for each other. This is a clean, sweet, Christian novella that is fun to quick to read. I highly recommend this wholesome story for fans of contemporary Christian romance.
A Time to Dance is a sweet romance. I enjoyed Kathy and Mike’s romance. I am glad that Mike finally learned to assert what he wanted. The fiance his mother chose was a true nightmare! If you enjoy a best friend’s sister romance, this is a book you should enjoy. I read it in one sitting.
