Very different from my normal reading material but I enjoyed it.
This is a saucy short story about wineries, chefs, food bloggers and murder. It doesn’t seem plausible that all these things would work together but they do. Two older ladies have been friends for a long time. They each own a winery just a few miles apart. They each have a restaurant on the property. Then one day things unravel. The two friends have an argument and by evening one is found dead in her home. Did one friend kill the other? Did the husband do it? Did someone else do it?? What happened??
Silly book could not finish it
Enjoyed all books in this series
I really enjoyed this book. Willa has a food blog and she describes food beautifully. She lives on a vineyard in California and seems to be mostly blessed in her life. Then she finds a body and falls into detecting. I thought the mystery was well written and I loved the characters. I am looking forward to the next one!
I really enjoyed this book…even wanting to stay up and keep reading when I was totally bushed. Well thought out characters, story line kept moving all the way through. Some great recipes at the end, also.
I was amazed that divorced people could live in the same house and not, at least, wound each other! Happily ever after would have ruined this tale. It struck me as being realistic and gritty. I really liked the way the heroine “took care of things” and came away ready tackle things again. A very good read!
Well written, entertaining, with great characters and kept me reading till the end.
read I straight thru
I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and it kept me interested
I read the first three in this series, and very much enjoyed the premise, the characters, and the storylines. It was a great idea to have a vineyard as the backdrop, but our main character is a food stylist/blogger. Fun reads!
Fun mystery easy to read. Set in Sonoma of course it includes fun wine references. Willa, a food blogger and photographer goes to meet an afternoon appointment only to find her mother in law’s friend and neighboring vineyard owner dead. Willa sets out to help solve the crime only to find herself In danger
I did not want to put this one down. I love a good “cozie”, especially where food, wine and mystery are involved. A little romance helps too. This series has promise….looking forward to more.
Good book
afraid i liked nothing about it
Pleasant easy read.
It’s a book that I would read when I was waiting on check out lines or when I would stop to have a cup of coffee or was eating lunch by myself. It wasn’t one that you would stay up past your bed time to read.
It seemed to hit home since I live in Sonoma County and have for 42 years. Throughly enjoyed it.
Quick and entertaining read.
