“Morgan Rice’s imagination is limitless. In another series that promises to be as entertaining as the previous ones, A THRONE OF SISTERS presents us with the tale of two sisters (Sophia and Kate), orphans, fighting to survive in a cruel and demanding world of an orphanage. An instant success. I can hardly wait to put my hands on the second and third books!”–Books and Movie Reviews (Roberto … (Roberto Mattos)
From #1 Bestseller Morgan Rice comes an unforgettable new fantasy series.
In A THRONE FOR SISTERS (Book one), Sophia, 17, and her younger sister Kate, 15, are desperate to leave their horrific orphanage. Orphans, unwanted and unloved, they nonetheless dream of coming of age elsewhere, of finding a better life, even if that means living on the streets of the brutal city of Ashton.
Sophia and Kate, also best friends, have each other’s backs—and yet they want different things from life. Sophia, a romantic, more elegant, dreams of entering court and finding a noble to fall in love with. Kate, a fighter, dreams of mastering the sword, of battling dragons, and becoming a warrior. They are both united, though, by their secret, paranormal power to read other’s minds, their only saving grace in a world that seems bent to destroy them.
As they each embark on a quest and adventure their own ways, they struggle to survive. Faced with choices neither can imagine, their choices may propel them to the highest power—or plunge them to the lowest depths.
A THRONE FOR SISTERS is the first book in a dazzling new fantasy series rife with love, heartbreak, tragedy, action, magic, sorcery, fate and heart-pounding suspense. A page turner, it is filled with characters that will make you fall in love, and a world you will never forget.
Book #2—A COURT FOR THIEVES—is also now available!
“[A THRONE FOR SISTERS is a] powerful opener to a series [that] will produce a combination of feisty protagonists and challenging circumstances to thoroughly involve not just young adults, but adult fantasy fans who seek epic stories fueled by powerful friendships and adversaries.”

I did not like this book and eventually quit reading. It could have been a decent book, but it drug on far too long building the plot. One of the main characters was jumping into bed with another main character as soon as she met him – if this book is for teenagers it’s a very sad example of what it means to build a relationship. This book could have been good.
reasonable story, but jumped around abruptly and time frames were unrealistic (how could someone learn all about forging weapons in just a day?)
While there are some glaring vocabulary issues, shallow characterization and a tendency to Mary Sue-ism, the series kept me entertained on an eight hour flight.
I will continue reading the series, and daydream about what it could be in the hands of a good editor.
awesome book with descriptive and action packed scenes and people
Interesting but written for a younger audience.
I didn’t finish because I got bored with the story quickly
I love these books but it annoys me that I have to pay full price for a book that is only 150ish pages long.
This book is the first in a series of stories about two sisters living an imaginary place. It was okay. An easy read, in some ways somewhat imaginative. If you want an easy entertaining book to read, this is a good one for that.
I like female protagonists. I would like to read the rest of the series, but haven’t had the time. In general, I prefer stand-alone books that don’t require buying the whole series. However, I would really like to know what happens to these 2 sisters. A good read!
One of the most wonderful books that I’ve read in quite a while! I absolutely loved the characters the plots and what was going on and I could not put it down and I could not wait to read the next book!
This is decent enough writing. I was fairly engaged. Enough so to buy the next book. But eventually the series starts feeling stale.
An excellent adventure with two orphaned sisters
Always disappointed with cliff-hangers. Like it better when each of the series is a story in itself.
The characters made me want to know what would happen next.
Too strange. Unprepared for twist. Didn’t finish reading.
I loved this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
Enjoyed the first book of the series. Read about the 2nd book and am anxious to get it to read.
I did not want to put it down
Great potential BUT things moved too quickly which made the story unrealistic.
Too simplistic. Both sisters get out fairly easily from a seemingly impossible situations, they catch every break
