“Morgan Rice’s imagination is limitless. In another series that promises to be as entertaining as the previous ones, A THRONE OF SISTERS presents us with the tale of two sisters (Sophia and Kate), orphans, fighting to survive in a cruel and demanding world of an orphanage. An instant success. I can hardly wait to put my hands on the second and third books!”–Books and Movie Reviews (Roberto … (Roberto Mattos)
From #1 Bestseller Morgan Rice comes an unforgettable new fantasy series.
In A THRONE FOR SISTERS (Book one), Sophia, 17, and her younger sister Kate, 15, are desperate to leave their horrific orphanage. Orphans, unwanted and unloved, they nonetheless dream of coming of age elsewhere, of finding a better life, even if that means living on the streets of the brutal city of Ashton.
Sophia and Kate, also best friends, have each other’s backs—and yet they want different things from life. Sophia, a romantic, more elegant, dreams of entering court and finding a noble to fall in love with. Kate, a fighter, dreams of mastering the sword, of battling dragons, and becoming a warrior. They are both united, though, by their secret, paranormal power to read other’s minds, their only saving grace in a world that seems bent to destroy them.
As they each embark on a quest and adventure their own ways, they struggle to survive. Faced with choices neither can imagine, their choices may propel them to the highest power—or plunge them to the lowest depths.
A THRONE FOR SISTERS is the first book in a dazzling new fantasy series rife with love, heartbreak, tragedy, action, magic, sorcery, fate and heart-pounding suspense. A page turner, it is filled with characters that will make you fall in love, and a world you will never forget.
Book #2—A COURT FOR THIEVES—is also now available!
“[A THRONE FOR SISTERS is a] powerful opener to a series [that] will produce a combination of feisty protagonists and challenging circumstances to thoroughly involve not just young adults, but adult fantasy fans who seek epic stories fueled by powerful friendships and adversaries.”

Great page turner, few grammatical errors. I had to get the next book immediately.
Maybe okay if you are twelve. Above that age, keep looking for another book.
I know this is a multi-book series yeah for some reason I was completely blindsided when things took a left turn. I have no idea why. I was so excited when Kate and Sophia started to have success and get their hearts desire. I had a hard time figuring out the “norms” of this society and social expectations. I think that’s part of why I read stories like this; to find out what other worlds and societies could be like. Diving in to book two!
YES READ IT
A Throne For Sisters is an AMAZING first book! I read it in less than a day! Morgen Rice is an amazing author, with so many great books and ideas. Sadly, I cannot read book two.., I use Kindle Unlimited to read, and it’s 2:99… Other than that, it’s amazing!
This book has so much potential but then about halfway throughout the book I was over it. Think goodness it was a quick read because I don’t think I can handle anymore. I won’t be reading the next one in the series. These two young orphans were in this this terrible orphanage that clearly ruled them, beat them, treated them as they were nothing. So they escape running through a town that no one dared to help them cause they didn’t want to be punished. I felt for the girls but at the same time in this era it’s something they should unfortunately learn to accept
bad just bad 🙁 dick book.
I only halfway through the series but really in with the characters can not put down and being a silver surfer and pensioner found these books which were given free the following in series of these books are also reasonable in price so allowing me to carry on has and when finances allow just love all of the author’s books to everyone if you get a chance read any of his books it will change you the whole world and your imagination just great stories .

disappointing that from good writing came no resolution, all looked hopeful only to dissolve into darkness and hopelessness. I know the object is to draw you to the next in series. but I can’t trust that there will be any more resolution there. Fantasy worlds are intriguing to me only when there is some genuine resolution and good wins over evil even in a series book one must have some of that.
I wanted to like it so much more than I did. It was dark and harsh.
This is a novel told by a dual point of view, telling Sophia’s story and alternating with the tale of Kate, her younger sister (15 years old). I did find myself more interested in Sophia’s tale, mostly because fighting and forging weapons weren’t as interesting to me as attempting to find a place in a lavish palace while masquerading as a noblewoman. I liked the girls’ determination to flee the orphanage and carve out a place for themselves so they could be free elsewhere. Yet Sophia falls in “love” in a matter of scant days, and her original goal of securing a place in society by sleeping with a nobleman seemed shallow—although that goal was definitely understandable given the drastic society she lived in. The ending is left open to lead into the next book. I enjoyed the sisters’ telepathic bond.
Exciting fantasy by a great writer you want to gobble up the series
Just finished last night, I really enjoyed the characters and plot. A little different twist makes the story enjoyable. But you should know…..
to read the entire book and there are 8 get ready to spend $20. Not the most money I’ve ever spent on a series, but should could of been 3 books not 8.
I love this book
I thought this book was a great read. I was not sure going into it but it hooked me on the series. I can’t stop reading. I picked this up on sale because I love Morgan Rice books for the world he develops in his books are beautifully made. Characters are so different but you can’t help but want to know more. The pace of the book is great and I love how be breaks the chapter up to help keep track of the characters more easily.
Morgan Rice has matured as a writer and is far more skilled in this eight volume series. Heroes include sisters Sophia and Kate, as well as many others. Villains include the Dowager Queen Mary, Rupert, Lady d’Angelica, Siobahn, the order of the Masked Goddess, and the Master of Crows, as well as many others. In its essence, this series focuses on a war of succession between the Flamberg dynasty and the Danse family. Overarching the family conflicts is the war brought by the Master of Crows as well as conflicts between magical and nonmagical humans. The books begins with sisters Sophia and Kate escaping from a horrible orphanage called the House of the Unclaimed. After their escape, the two sisters part. Sophia goes to look for love and a place to belong, while Kate goes in search of training to make her the best and strongest warrior. Thus Rice introduces two of the major themes of the books: love and family vs. war, violence, and conquest. These books can be addictive, and you’ll want to have the next volumes on hand so there is no delay as you follow the story from beginning to end.
2sisters who look for different futures but still face her own tragedy. Through it all, they still dream of a future that includes each other
Just okay
Interesting characters, the story moves well & held my attention. I enjoy reading this was much more interisting than watching reruns or another boring night of TV.
Excellent page turner. Always left me hanging on a cliff, getting to the next chapter.
