This is one of my favorite books!
I absolutely loved this book!
Liked the plot; hated the capital letters every time the main character spoke.
Should be a must read for everyone.
One of the most stirring books I’ve ever read.
This is the best of his novels and I have read all but his newest one. It has many funny moments and at one point I could not stop reading until I learned the secret of the character’s death.
One of my favorite books.
My favorite of all John Irving’s wonderful books. Especially good as an audible so that you can hear Owen’s odd voice. I could read this again and again.
I would love to give this book ten stars!!
One of my favorite books.

This was a great read.
This book has the finest opening sentence I have ever read. It’s a terrific book.
A wonderful book that all should read. One I have loaned to many friends.
One of John Irving’s best
Irving was so good at describing Owen’s voice, that I could actually hear it in my head. Unforgettable characters and a deeply engrossing story that will keep you wanting more. Read this book-it is on my list of top 5 all-time favorites.
We read it for book club and we all loved it. We didn’t like the movie.
Incredible. A true classic
