It wouldn’t be long until I regain what was mine, it must be returned to its rightful owner.Dark secrets, hidden lies and envy broke the bond of two successful entrepreneurs and caused a woman to lose all that she had. A modern-day story of passion, love, and betrayal.
Most people are never comfortable moving on with their lives until they get their revenge. They always plot on how to carry out the revenge and especially if the person who double-crossed you is a close relative or friend. That is the story of Sofia and Ana, two friends who shared the same interests and were in the same university. Ana sabotaged Sofia’s hard work that she had put into the company, having framed her for sabotaging G&N Company data by installing a virus into their system that enough would be a motive for revenge. Making things difficult, Ana and Lucio were now an item, and I could not help but think that they were all in it to throw Sofia out of the company. I could go on talking and praising the book for the flow of ideas and the creation of the plot. The book is structured chapter by chapter each talking about a different aspect of their lives from how they met to how Sofia was thrown out of the company. It creates a certain tension that makes one feel as if it is happening to you and at the end, Sofia’s comeback ends the book in a high note wishing that the story would continue and not end there. An exciting and thrilling book to read.
Mercy Jane Porquez Ballesteros created a thrilling story full of adventure and emotions. I really liked this book! You keep connecting with all the characters which is not easy. It is very hard for an author to create empathy between the reader and the characters, but you can expect it in A Taste of Revenge.
I recommend A Taste of Revenge as it is a great book for us to think about love, betrayal, and trust. Too me this book is a must for this summer. It is easy to read, and the action is well paced. You can expect a roller coaster of emotions. Believe me when I tell you that it is addictive, I have read it in a day!
Grateful I came across this read!
I’ve been devouring Romance and fiction novels in the past year. Still, I am at a point where nothing seems original. Yes, the words are different, but the context of the stories mainly rely on storylines already in circulation. Well, that has been the case until I came across “A Taste of Revenge.”
I got the chills so many times towards the end of this book. It made me hunger what would happen next, so I kept flipping pages till the wee hours of midnight. This novel is told in the first-person perspective, making you connect with the intriguing characters so excitingly. Sofia and Ana are young women, who have everything any woman would dream of, both of them are good friends. However, as things got better Sofia’s best friend, Ana betrayed her, and this led to Sofia’s dismissal as the company CEO. It’s just unbelievable how a friend you’ve known for so long can turn their back on you. Betrayal is a feeling that can break up relationships and lead to bad decisions of vengeance. Sofia decides to take revenge against her friend and make her pay for her wrongdoings.
This novel is a clear description of the world we live in filled with betrayal and uncertainties. I found the book as pretty thrilling, emotional, suspenseful and inspirational part of what I mostly look for in a book. Other than the uniqueness of the story, the author has shown masterly skills in writing by having complete control of her story and style. With twists and turns, a reader cannot ignore the imagination of the impressive scenes and much more than the story offers. I highly recommend it to all readers as this is a must-read. I can’t wait to get my hands on her other books!
Sofia, a young woman with a lot of potential, has worked since young age to reach her dreams. Together with her best friend, Ana, she creates a company that proves to be successful. She has her dreamed life, however something disturbing is about to happen: Ana betrays her and drags her to a very awkward position and many unexpected turns.
The book is well structured and it shows the vast imagination of the author. It is written in a very peculiar way and the universe construction of the story is quite well thought and detailed. I think is adequate for young adults.
