A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the 2nd book in the Christmas Kiss series from author Allyson R Abbott. Even though these books are a part of series, they can be read as a stand-alone, but personally after enjoying each one of these you would want to read them all. This is my second read from this author and once again I was totally captivated by her writing style her characters, and the brilliant storyline she has once again created. She has brilliant in depth writing, she makes her reads descriptive and I can’t wait to read some other books from her.
This book is a heart-warming, humour filled and romantic with incredible characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. For this not being an exceptionally long length novel I didn’t feel as though it was rushed, it was well written, easy, romantic read and I was captivated from the beginning. loved following Mel’s journey in this read, and loved reading her developing connection with Lucas, they had a brilliant connection that I was glad that I got to follow along with!
Each one of these reads, seems to get better and better and i can’t wait to see what happens in the next one. I highly recommend this read to all!

4- stars
A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a great festive read! Even though it was a shorter read I still felt that it had a well rounded storyline with very sweet characters. It’s non-stop go from the first chapter and I enjoyed diving right in!

A sweet Christmas story on so many levels, one that proves the adage that Love Conquers All. In the face of so much adversity, Lucas and Mel grow in regard and affection towards a HEA that will bring a smile to your face. It’s a beautiful Christmas romance, set in a warm, sunny clime and will go a long way towards contributing to the reader’s holiday spirit. Highly recommended.
A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the second book in the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson R. Abbott. This is the story of Mel who is sent to Spain to take care of her aunt’s home during the holidays. On her trip, she meets Lucas. The two have an instant connection despite a major language barrier. On her house sitting Mel discovers that there is much she does not know about her aunt.
This is a sweet, romantic read. I enjoyed that it was a quick read and with an uplifting story. The characters are sweet and there is a bit of innocence to them. The story just flows and I didn’t want to put it down. I had to find out if everything worked out for Mel. I also enjoyed the importance of family and how they all played a part in the story. I look forward to read more in the series.
A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the 2nd in the four book series by Allyson R. Abbott. While I have read the first book, they are unrelated stories and can be read as a standalone. The book is about Melanie (Mel) and her crazy Christmas adventure. She gets a sudden, urgent request from her mother to go to Spain to take care of her aunt, after a surgery. Upon arriving at the airport, she gets some bad news, and has a big decisions to make. She takes the plunge and boards the plane anyway, and thus begins a series of awkward situations. She soon finds herself in a country she cant speak the language, and is in way over her head. She must rely on two strangers to get her through the next couple of weeks.
I had a hard time figuring out where the book was going, as there is so much unknown until the very end. Typically I like a good mystery romance, but I wasn’t as hooked on this book as I was book 1. It is a cute story and there are some funny parts. I liked seeing what became of Mel and her two Spanish men. Overall it was still a good book, and I will continue the series to see if book 3 wins me back.
A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the second book in the Christmas Kiss series. This book can be read as a stand-alone.
This book is a fun and lovable holiday romance about a woman trying to help out her family. It isn’t as straight forward as it should be and hilarity soon follows.
I really enjoyed this book because it was one of those stories that you could easily just lose yourself in for a few hours. You can turn off reality and just enjoy a well written and entertaining story.
The main character Mel was delightful to read about. She takes everything in her stride – even though everything is going wrong. I liked how, despite it being an odd request, she still helps out her family.
This was a great book and a good addition to the series.
4 Stars
A Tangy Christmas Kiss is the second book in the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson R. Abbott. It is a sweet holiday romance that confirms that anything that can go wrong- will! There is hilarity, funny antics, language barriers, challenges, romance, and endearing characters. There was a lot more to this story than it may seem from first appearances. Melanie (Mel) had me intrigued right from the first page, as I followed her on her story. From the moment she gets the call from her mother asking her to look after her aunts’ home while her aunt is in hospital- everything that could go wrong certainly does. Her promise to her mother takes her on a mad-cap journey that throws her right out of her comfort zone, leaving her feeling a little lost and vulnerable. But what happens when a sexy stranger comes to her aid? Yes, there might be a serious language barrier, but he seems to want to help her non-the-less. Will she be desperate enough to let a complete stranger help her? What happens when he sees her to her destination? Mel is unprepared for everything that’s about to happen, once she arrives at her aunts. What will the future hold? All this and more can be discovered be reading this delightful story…
Ms. Abbott has such a wonderfully descriptive, warm, and inviting style to her writing. Her stories always draw me in and keep me engaged the whole way through. They are so easy to read and always leave feeling good- as this story did.
This may be a story set around Christmas and the holidays, but it is a lovely story that deserves to be read, and enjoyed, at any time of the year!
Thank you yet again, Ms. Abbott!!

A Tangy Christmas Kiss Allyson R. Abbott is a captivating christmas romance. It is a short read but it hits all the marks. It is a sweet story that was entertaining and engaging and will make you laugh. It really was a comedy of errors from start to finish.
Mel can’t say no to her mum and this is where she finds herself on a trip of a lifetime. Or is it? Tired, different countries, a different language and a menagerie, yep, she is in over her head and anything that can go wrong definitely does.
Looking for a little something to relax for a few hours then grab a copy and enjoy.
A Tangy Christmas Kiss-Christmas Kiss book 2 written by Allyson R. Abbott. This is part of the Christmas Kiss Series and follows along with the cute Christmas themed romance. Mel is helping her mom out and ends up going on a weird round about trip to Spain where she ends up meeting Lucas. He ends up helping her in more ways than one. The story is a sweet one that keeps you easily hooked while you read about Mel’s journey, her mother and her aunt.
I loved this book from start to finish. This charming, quirky tale was engaging from the very first page. The characters were immediately relatable. Allyson Abbott is quickly becoming a must read author for me. Easy and fun, this book kept me entertained and engaged. It felt like a perfect read for the holidays. Definitely will recommend to others.
I give A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott, 4stars.
Mel’s mother calls right before Christmas and talks her into a big favor — to go to Spain to help out her aunt who is having surgery. She agrees, but little does she know just what she’s in for. After too many days of travelling, and too many layovers, she misses the ride her aunt provided for her. She is alone and helpless in a country where she doesn’t know the language. Relying on the help of strangers, she finally makes it to her aunt’s. But it is nothing like she remembered as a child. She now has a lot to take care of and and she doesn’t even know where to begin. Can she do this?
This a nice, fun little Christmas romance book. Not very long, it can be read in one sitting. Mel is a good main character, trying to deal with things she has never encountered before. The story itself is new and interesting too. Being out of your element, especially at Christmas, is quite hard. But she endures because this is family. This story will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between.
If you like fun Christmas romances, this book is for you.
Feliz Navidad, indeed…”
I love this time of year (November & December) because all the delightful Christmas stories come out.
A TANGY CHRISTMAS KISS is the perfect blend of tang and sweetness. This sweet holiday romance is filled with humor and courtship. It’s a short story that can be absolutely read in one sitting. This is one of those stories that I could see being made into a movie on one of those channels that run sweet movies all holiday season long.
I always enjoy Allyson R Abbott’s stories and this one is no different.
This is a Christmas romance story that warmed my heart while at times heartbreaking. This is a story about a woman who travels to Spain to take care of her Aunt’s house, in the process she meets Lucas. Their story kept me engaged and I enjoyed the creativeness of the story itself. The chemistry between Mel and Lucas is strong and they are sweet characters that made the story flow. I highly recommend this sweet-warm Christmas story.
A Tangy Christmas Kiss
By: Allyson R. Abbott
5 out of 5 stars
The story A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a wonderful romantic holiday book. It weaves a story that has you laughing in some parts and feeling the magic and romance in others. The importance of family is highlighted. It a book I loved reading and didn’t want to put down until I finished the last page. I loved reading about the character of Mel. She is on her way to Spain, which is a last-minute request from her mother to watch her aunt’s home while she is in the hospital. From the very beginning things begin to happen in which causes her frustration and with the jet lag, she feels like she just wants to lay down and sleep. The lack of her speaking the Spanish language is another hurdle that she has. She does find herself being helped by a very handsome man who was seated next to her on the flight. While she may not know what he is saying she can’t say no to his assistance. How far will this stranger go out of his way to help Mel? What happens when she finally gets to her aunt’s home? Will she continue to see the attractive man that has assisted her? Read this story to find out. Mel goes through some very overwhelming situations. I could empathize with her and the situations that she finds herself in. This story had me with a smile on my face and with a heartwarming feeling. Christmas is a magical time of year and when reading about Mel I couldn’t help but hope it would be that way for her. This is an amazing story with wonderful characters. I highly recommend reading it.
I just went on a total reading binge and poured through both Allyson R. Abbott’s A Prickly Christmas Kiss and her A Tangy Christmas Kiss. What can I say, they were like the sweetest of chocolates for a choco-holic (which I am, by the way). And that’s not even counting the fact that they are Christmas romances and I totally adore (truly deeply adore) Christmas romances. Read the publisher’s blurb for a perfectly good synopsis of what these stories about that doesn’t spoil anything. I frankly don’t know which story or which couple I love the most, though Elf and Rudi will probably stick with me most due to how Emma views the world, magical cat, Mr & Mrs Claus, Martian and all. Whether set in a small town or Spain these stories all grab the heart and are a wonder to read. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – each of these books definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each book is most definitely “one to read”. It is amazingly easy to highly recommend all of them.
If the previous book was a romantic Keystone Cops, then this was the Keystone Cops as a foreign film – without the subtitles. Once again, in a stunning cascade of “what’s the worst that can happen?” we have bad travel experiences, language barriers, and a city girl stuck playing farm hand. Everything that can go wrong does during Mel’s Spanish Christmas. The ending was an adorable giggle-fest that more than made up for how much I disliked her family at the beginning of the story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book.
Captivating Read.
