With over 275 “Five star” reviews. Elmo Jenkins is celebrating his fifth anniversary as a staff member of First Church. Much has changed at the historic downtown church, with new Senior Pastor Billy Pike Jameson and his humorless wingman Lord Hatchet keeping Elmo more than busy. In the midst of helping the church navigate the precarious waters of starting a contemporary worship service, Elmo is … of starting a contemporary worship service, Elmo is asked to lead a mission trip to Papua New Guinea. As always, Elmo keeps his sense of humor and his faith in God’s higher purpose.
On the home front, Elmo’s feisty mother-in-law is relentlessly pressuring him to produce a grandchild. Elmo’s friend Erlene has moved into an Assisted Living Facility where she’s stirring up some serious trouble. To make matters worse, someone is systematically burglarizing the homes of the First Church membership. Could there be an inside connection?
Thurm, Harry, and Father Ted are still on board along with new friends Pearly Gates, The Radio Guy, and Stumpy the Squirrel.

While an entertaining book, it also had significant meaning throughout. It’s my third “Elmo” book and I look forward to reading the remaining books in the series.
Excellent book!!
Page turner, one short chapter at a time.
I have read the entire series and thoroughly enjoyed every one of the books.
I thought the book was very entertaining.
I love the Elmo Jenkins series!
I have enjoyed the entire series. They are a fun read.
Good read
There is nothing wrong with the book, it just isn’t something that I enjoyed reading.
In some ways I thought this was a satire because it is so true to form but think it is intended as fiction
Enjoyable
I felt like this was just silliness and couldn’t get through the book.
Love the author and love the books.
I love the Elmo books.
I have enjoyed all the Elmo series. The characters were so original and entertaining. Witty look into church business.
If you’ve read the other Elmo books, you’ll enjoy this one also. Great characters!
Fun series to read. Great characters.
Not as good as the first three but still a good read with a likeable character.
Easy read and humorous at times.
A nice Christian based read.
