The conclution part of the Alpha and Omega duet finally brings answers to Ana’s overflowing mysteries in life. She struggles to place her feet in a world that is her enemy. A fiancé who has a different agenda and parents who have lied to her throughout her life brings questions in her confrontations with Maddoc.
Ana finally realises the truth/nature of her dynamic, Maddoc is more possessive of her. I love their first intimate scene in this book. I love them rough. I enjoyed this duet and had amazing time with all the twisted revelations. Now I’m excited that there is another Omegaverse story coming out featuring Raine and Ryden!
This is the conclusion to A Savage Debt, which I admitted I liked a bit better than this installment. I did love Maddoc and Ana as the “fated” couple, don’t get me wrong, and I was glad to see Ryden get his comeuppance through Raine (I’m extremely interested in their story!) but I found that it was the circumstances/exposition of the story that ended up redeeming Maddoc instead of Maddoc himself. In other Zoey Ellis tales, the alpha starts out aggressive and overbearing and out of touch but through his own explanations, actions and softening towards his Omega, we understand his motivations and quickly forgive him (especially since he’s teeming with hotness :)). Maddoc is hot as well, but he still comes across as more brute than mate in this installment. He’s determined to get Ana back for sure, but Ana has to find out on her own through her exploration of the various villages and speaking with those loyal to Maddoc (Raine and others) what a great guy Maddoc really is and how much she has been misled by the King and Queen (her parents). I had little sympathy for them, with good reason, but I didn’t really fall for Maddoc as hard as I have other Zoey Ellis’ gruff Alphas who are undone by their Omegas. We are TOLD that Maddoc has been in love with Ana for longer than originally thought but I would have rather that come from Maddoc himself. As usual, the worldbuilding is top notch and Ana evolves as a character and develops a spine but the promise of the savage beast of Book 1 turning into a redeemable hero didn’t quite reach its promise in Book 2. Maybe I’m making unfair comparisons between Maddoc and Drocco. 🙂

This is the second book in the duet and the first must be read prior to this one. Deceived, misled and taken advantage of, Ana continues her journey. Believing Ryden to be her fated mate, she leaves Maddoc and runs. But Ryden doesn’t feel the same to her as Maddoc did and Ana is uncertain of the deal he makes to get them out of the situation they are in. Maddoc won’t let her go without a fight and he’s more than capable of protecting what is his. Fast paced and totally absorbing story, nice wind up. I did think Ana could have been a bit quicker to see the truth but that didn’t stop her from going forward as a stronger woman with a plan of her own. Loved it – ready for more.
Book two picks up where book one left off. You definitely need to read them in order to understand what is going on. Maddoc has always been a savage in the eyes of the palace and surrounding houses. He is feared by many. Is that who he really is and has always been? Ana is naive in the ways of the Alpha/Omega connection. Is that because, as the princess, she’s just been sheltered or is it because she’s been lied to all her life? I enjoyed reading their relationship develop and seeing them grow, especially Ana. As for the others in Ana’s life: her parents, Ryden, the other houses, etc. we learn more about them and I definitely started thinking differently about some of them. Overall, I liked Ana and Maddoc’s duet and would recommend it to others who enjoy Omegaverse romance.
*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Wow wow wow
I loved everything about this book! I’d been looking forward to it for months and it was better than I could have imagined and so worth the wait. It answers all the lingering questions from part one. We see all the characters in a new light when truths and true intentions are revealed. Dark and delicious with a HEA. Zoe has given us another masterpiece and I’m thrilled!
Wow, what a great sequel to Savage Debt! Its a dangerous and sexy romance with a fabulous story. The first book left us with many questions and they are all answered in this book. This is one of my favorite Omegaverse series. I couldnt put it down and loved the 2nd installment just as much as the first. I could read about Maddoc and Ana all day everyday. I will miss these characters.
We continue the story from where we stopped last book. In this book, we get to see more secrets laid out and certain characters show more of their personality out. There’s a good amount of description about the Alpha/Omega connection and the houses and their politics. Again, just like all her other reads, it might seem like the Alpha, Maddoc, was un-redeemable, but he comes back and really wins me over. I thought the book was a good read.
I really enjoyed the concluding part of this Alpha and Omega duet.
It was fast paced and well written with some majorly scorching chemistry.
I was an easy page-turner that I read in one sitting and though this was the conclusion of Maddox and Ana’s story I can’t wait to delve more into this fascinating fantasy world maybe with Raine next.
Here Ana finally had her eyes opened in regards to the corrupt houses and her people’s plight.
Though initially resistant she can’t help but realise that what she’s been told all her life has been to keep her in the dark and compliant.
Even Madoc hasn’t been completely honest with her mostly because he wants her to work things out for herself.
When she does finally realise the truth of things she steps up to the plate and embraces Maddoc’s and her future wholeheartedly.
I adored Maddoc getting his thoughts and impressions this time around gave me such an insight into his overall character and also tempered that first initial impressions I had of him.
You really get a sense of who he is and why he has done certain things.
It just brought a more human aspect to him and his whole image.
This entire story taken as a whole is a five star read and I do think it works better as one novel rather than separated into two parts.
I think it lessons the impact slightly being split up into two.
So yep really enjoyed this one and I’m giving it five starts for the entire experience read back to back rather than separately which would be my preference.
Big thumbs up from my camp.

I needed an entertaining story not some world renowned novel so readers going into this duet expecting one does so at their own risk of disappointment this story is primal and not at all a reflection on real life events or characters it’s pure entertainment this author delivered the distraction and thrilling adventure I was looking for with this little caveman like gem
A tainted claim is the second book from this series. We already met Ana and Maddoc in the previous book and the story continues with Ana’s decision to flee only to be headed to a strange and difficult situation and to an ominous future. She can’t understand her feelings towards her true mate and the savage who claimed her. After being taken again she discovers that reality is quite different from her beliefs and that she has been blinded from the truth. She discovers her true feelings and acts according to them choosing with her heart and finding happiness with her true love. The story is fast to read, very enjoyable and it gives you cravings for more from this universe. I hope Zoey keeps bringing these stories and characters to life. This book has adult themes and it is not for people who doesn’t like dark romances, but if you enjoy dominant alphas and adventurous omegas this story is for you.
I received an ARC for my honest opinion.
I enjoyed the conclusion to Maddoc and Ana’s story. I really liked how everything comes together in the end to explain everything. Mainly because you are left with a lot of questions about things Maddoc is hinting at and not telling Ana in the first book and you finally get those answers. I enjoyed Ana’s character even more in this one. She really wants what is best for her country’s people. And she tries to educate herself when possible to make the right decisions. Although thay doesn’t always happen the way she thinks. There are hints towards the end of the book about more to possibly come and I think it would be awesome if there was another book that follows this one. Raines is another great character that deserves to be happy.
This is a dark romance….
Loved it…. wow. Ana rides away with Rydan , her fated mate in the first book. Leaving Maddoc to discover that she has left him, and fury engulfed him. In this book, Maddoc and Ana are united again but under an Alpha anger that seeks to get back what is rightfully his.
What did I like? This author is amazing… when the beholden debt came out it captured my attention, after reading it I was ensnared. Thank god this one is a duet…I’m not sure I could stand another cliffhanger. Maddoc was extremely possessive over Ana, and Ana soon realizes that she doesn’t respond to anyone like she does Maddoc. I couldn’t put this one down, and read it in one sitting. Maddoc and Ana will have you on the edge of your seat, this series is unique but like her other omega series.
Would I recommend or buy? Best compliment you can pay an author is to buy their book. I got a copy, wish it had been a paper copy but looks like they’re not out yet. Loved both books and I can’t wait for more. If you love omegaverse then this is an amazing one, or if your new to this author, and like alpha men then this is a great book. Omegaverse is not for everyone, the concept has non consensual stuff in it but the dynamic omega always submit to their alpha.
Thoughts for the author? I can’t wait for your next release! Super amazing book with an incredible story. Loved it…Five stars.
I received an ARC to read and offer an opinion but I also bought a copy, the book was amazing, and I support this author because I want her to write more!
This is the 2nd book of a duet and there are a few dark elements in the background, but I love these stories and this one was another great addition to this Omegaverse. Maddoc has remained a mystery man, but I love his stamina for the cause and his huge heart. Ana finds out just how ignorant she is of all that is going on around her. It is frustrating to think about all the times people in charge abuse their power, but worse to see it with your own eyes. (I don’t know how anyone could deal with being ‘royalty’ and all that is expected of you, so I get how Harry fled the arena!). I really like the descriptions of cities, forests, palaces and the whole kingdom. (It always allows me to build a much better picture of where they are.) A pinch of magic ties off this story. It is still very much an Alpha/Omega dynamic of relationships and the reader should keep that in mind when choosing these stories. There is still so much more that can be written in this series and I hope Zoey will find a way to do that, to pull all these kingdoms together. (Especially now that we’ve been given at hint at what is happening in the Realm!)
i have been waiting to be able to read the ending to Maddoc and Ana’s story!! Zoey Ellis never fails to totally suck me in, where i can’t put the books down until i’m done. i absolutely love this universe of hers! i can’t wait to read whatever comes next. i am an obsessed fan! LOL
*happily received an ARC copy for my honest review!
I had been looking forward to reading this after really enjoying the first book in the series. Without giving anything away there are some surprising plot twists that will keep you guessing right to end! It’s a very original story with some great world building and characters. There is plenty of action, toe curling romance and a subtle unveiling of various characters true motives and intentions before the longed for HEA. It’s an absorbing read, but important to note that the first book in the series must be read first.
I received an ARC of this book in compensation for my honest review. I need more. I absolutely LOVE this series! I could not even begin to explain how blindsided I was to the new approach she took on the alpha/omega connection but it was amazing! The only thing negative I could say about this is that I definitely need more.
Ana comes to grips with the truth about Ryden, Maddoc, and her parents throughout the book. Raine is awesome!
I received a copy of the book from the author via bookfunnel, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
