Wonderful author, has a Great writing style and the storyline is so arresting you wont put it down. I loved reading how the characters worked through their own personal lives to be together and love
A Sun So Bright by K.G. Fletcher is r third book in the Reigning Hearts series. This book can be read as a stand-alone.
I have to say for me the best bit about this book was the character development. I really struggled with Fiona at first, to the point where I wasn’t sure if I could finish the book. However as the book progressed her development was so interesting to read. By the end of the book I felt like I really understood her and was pleased for her.
The book was well written and really shows the skill of the author. This is a great read overall.
Unhappy rich girl meets broke bartender and hires him to be her boyfriend, how will this end?
Well, I found the story sweet and a little emotional but at times a little slow. I still give it 4 stars for a good storyline and happy ending.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good connection between the main characters
The characters are well described but the secondary characters is a little foreign to me.
Good entertainment and I recommend it if you like a sweet romance without the big surprises.
* I was gifted this book in exchange for a honest review *
Fiona is a woman who has put her personal life on hold a little after so many disastrous meetings with the opposite sex. Because she’s a woman who hardly has to worry about making ends meet, it makes it harder to meet someone genuine and interested in her as a person rather than the dollar signs that follow her. It’s hard being someone in so many spotlights and be unattached. She needs a buffer for those events, someone she can lean on to get her through some of it. In reality, she needs a compatible relationship. Even if it’s a forced and fake one.
Chris works hard for what he has and isn’t afraid of the challenges that arise in his personal life. He knows that in order to get where he wants in life, he has to work hard and play less. For him, working as a bartender helps to build his dream of rehabbing his home and making it special for years to come. In a bold move, Fiona offers him an opportunity of a lifetime that will help him get closer to that goal. Be her fake fiance and help ward off the lecherous advances of others as well as keep her company.
But it’s not long before their fake relationship starts to turn into a real one and their love affair becomes a complicated one that leaves them both questioning what they’re doing. For the first time in her life, Fiona is shown what it’s like to have a real love and be on the receiving end to sincere affection. For Chris, he’s pulled back the curtain and seen beyond the persona that Fiona has built around her. For the first time in his life, he allows himself to feel a little more and give in to the pull of their emotional journey.
I love a good fake to real fiance/partner story!!! I loved this one as there were so many raw and real feelings. Oh man, the feels! Fiona may have started off for me as a meh type character but she quickly evolved into one that I loved reading about while she got her happily ever after. This was an awesome, emotional, entertaining, and steamy read.
This is a twist on the male billionaire needing a date/fiancé. Fiona just wants a boyfriend for a while so she’s not alone at events and outings with her coupled up friends.
This New Year’s Eve Fiona agreed to go out with her friends Petra and Frank, a very happy couple expecting their first child. Suddenly not wanting to be there bringing down the excitement of the evening, she leaves, but gets waylaid at the bar in the lobby area of the hotel.
Chris is the bartender who gets her that last glass of champagne before the clock strikes midnight, and to her mind he’s the perfect candidate.
From a New Years kiss to life changing revelations, this book is full of love, romance, tears, and sizzle!
I have to go back and read the others in this series!
This book was such a sweet and enjoyable read. A kiss on New Year’s Eve starts Fiona and Chris’s adventure. Posing as fake couple, will it all become real? Will Fiona change her ways? Read and find out for yourself. A refreshing story with great plot that flowed effortlessly, and characters that are likeable. A great read and one I recommend.
A fun holiday read.
What would you do if you had it all… that is everything but a date for New Years.
Fiona has everything… career money looks… but when she finds herself without a date on New Years she thinks it’s a good idea to proposition the hot bartender Chris to pretend to be her boyfriend.
It doesn’t take long for lines to be blurred… there is great chemistry between the two main characters. Can this deception lead to a HEA.
This book is a stand-alone… but is book 3 in a series. Having read the previous two helped me enjoy the story a little more but wasn’t a necessity.
This was a sweet lighthearted read that I definitely recommend
I was given an arc for an honest review.
A Sun So Bright was a story of going from acts of selfishness to selflessness. Fiona was a rich girl that had everything money could buy except someone to share her time with but then she meets Chris and discovers that money can buy that too. As their arrangement for companionship turns to something more, can Chris show this spoiled Princess that she has more to offer the world than just her fashion sense. As you take the journey with these two from fake to something so real, you will go from feeling the ice nip at your fingertips to having the sun caress your skin and warm you deep into your soul. Their story is captivating and will have you falling under the spell of their enchanting love. Fiona will have you seeing past all the jewels and expensive clothes to see the lonely lost woman who has a heart the size of Texas. Chris will make you swoon and have you falling in love. A beautiful addition to this series that shows us that sometimes we have to look past the exterior to really see what shines beneath.
A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts Book Three)
By K.G. Fletcher
5 out of 5 stars
The story A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts Book 3) by K.G. Fletcher is the third amazing book in a series. It pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that I just couldn’t put down. I loved reading about the characters of Fiona Merrill and Chris Ballard. Fiona is a woman who doesn’t need money however finds that she can’t find the right one to begin a relationship. She gets an idea after seeing Chris and makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Chris is someone who would rather spend time fixing up his farmhouse than going to VIP events, however with the amount of money that Fiona is offering he agrees to her plans. They are posing as a couple in front of the city’s elite. It soon becomes clear that their arrangement is becoming more than just business. Chris wants to quit pretending and become a couple for real. Is Fiona ready to take that step? What does the future hold for Fiona and Chris? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about Fiona and Chris with each chapter that I read. Fiona is a woman who many would find cold and pampered however Chris is falling for her as he sees small glimpses of the caring woman she can be. There are other characters that interact with Chris and Fiona that I enjoyed reading about. This book had me misty-eyed and also with a smile on my face. It is a story that gives you a warm feeling and I found myself rooting for Chris and Fiona to find happiness. Don’t miss out on a wonderful romance story. I highly recommend it.
This is the third book in this series and my favorite yet. This is an author I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up by her. I love being pulled into the story right from the beginning and this book is just that. This is a well developed story that I read in one sitting. Her characters bring the story to life and made me feel part of the story. What will happen when Fiona, a billionaire heiress, gets more than she bargained for with a deal she made with Chris. I highly recommend this book to find out just what Fiona is in for.
Their relationship started as a contract. Billionaire heiress Fiona needs a companion to all her social meetings and parties. Chris, a handsome bartender, is her solution. But can they stay partners or will they fall for each other? Can they have a chance with their lives so different? Good audiobook
Getting Out from Behind the Bar
Fiona and Chris are unexpected in so many ways. The cold, self-centered woman we met in book one of the Reigning Hearts series has grown little in the two years since then. The biggest thing that’s changed is she’s recognizing how lonely her life is. She still pines a bit for Thomas Capshaw but it’s more knowing someone is there for her than her actually missing him.
Chris is another character we met very briefly in book one. He was just a side bit then but here, we get a chance to know him and see how big his heart is. He may not have much in terms of money and material things but he makes up for it in so many ways.
I really like how Fiona slowly transforms into someone I would like to be associated IRL. The heat she and Chris give off is as sweet and tender as it is raw and consuming. Do be warned, though, that things get emotional toward the end and I was bleary-eyed.
Even with the references to Thomas and Emeline’s story in book one being referenced, this book can definitely be read or listened to as a standalone. In this case, I listened to an author copy. The author is also the narrator. Kelly does a really good job bringing the characters up off the pages but my comments from the first two books on my preference for a male narrator to join her still holds true. This is always the case for me when there are multiple POVs.
Story: 4 stars
Narration: 3.5 stars
This is book 3 in Fletcher’s Reigning Hearts series and is Fiona’s story (it can be read as a stand alone but you will have greater appreciation for the characters if read in order).I have to say that after listening to books 1 and 2 previously and how those two characters intermingled, I didn’t know who this one would be about and when I found out – I was like Ugh – Fiona…BUT!!! Fletcher has given us a beautiful romance about the value of a person rather than class or social standing. Fletcher did an amazing job of giving us strong characters that were relatable and in Fiona’s case had a lot of character development – Chris’ character as well to some extent. A touching storyline that’s fun, a bit steamy and sweetly beautiful! Narration was smooth and made this listen a complete joy to hear – love that Brooklyn accent!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I am voluntarily providing this review.
*this review is based on the audio version of this read
On the surface, Fiona and Chris were as different as night and day. When what starts as a business arrangement starts to morph into something more, is it time to go their separate ways, or can there be something more?
This is the first book by K.G. Fletcher I have listened to, and I loved it. She has written a wonderful story that really tugged at my heartstrings, and then to also narrate it… fantastic!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook A Sun So Bright- Reigning Hearts- Book 3 by KG Fletcher because it was such a wonderful story about Fiona and Chris. To be honest, I didn’t like Fiona at first. She was from the 1st book as the girlfriend of Thomas Capshaw. She was petty and wealthy and so snobbish. But as I was listening to this story, Fiona started to grow on me. At first, with Chris, she was still so snobbish and they had a business deal where she wanted to pretend she was dating Chris so she wouldn’t be alone at all the functions she had to attend. Chris was a wonderful man and he was a bar tender. He and Fiona started to get closer and things were becoming hot and steamy for them. I really hoped that Fiona and Chris would work out. Things became complicated when the truth came out and things went south after that. This was such a wonderful story that I had tears in my eyes at some parts. It made me feel things. I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest opinion. I loved it and would highly recommend reading. It will make you believe in love and second chances.
So l meet Fiona in book1 of the Reigning Hearts series, to be honest l wasn’t the biggest fan of Fiona! A Sun So Bright was a really enjoyable read and l like Fiona better in this story! Fiona and Chris journey started with kiss on New Year’s Eve then came Fiona wanting a fake boyfriend this came with ups and downs! Can these two become more than just fake? And can Fiona settle from her rich, pampered life with Chris? Well l guess you need to read and find out!
The storyline was well written and both characters were well developed. However, it was the development of Fiona as I turned each page that kept me totally captivated! I really enjoyed Fiona and Chris together!
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I have always had a love of romance novels and this is certainly part of my top five favourites. The characters have a lot of depth, with a full range of displayed emotions, that took me on a rollercoaster as I read though their story. I enjoyed the harder topic that the author as put into this story and felt that it made all the difference in the connection between the main two characters and gave the novel a real depth and connection to the readers. I look forward to reading more by this author and picking up this book once more some time in the future. Definitely a well written novel with detailed scenery and interactions. Definitely worth reading.
A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts Book Three) by KG Fletcher – Review by Meg Tyrrell
This is not a new author for me. I read books 1 and 2 and absolutely adore the way KG Fletcher writes. I get pulled in with every single book, and am on the edge of my seat for every word. I wasn’t very excited for the main character of this book but only ONLY because I’ve read the first book ( I do recommend reading them in order, though it’s not an absolute necessity). I did find myself rooting for Chris and Fiona even though I started out the book with reservations on Fiona. I again, as I have with the other two books, found myself experiencing ALL the feels. KG Fletcher is an amazing author who gets you to love every character, no matter their flaws. Don’t miss out on these amazing stories!
A Sun So Bright by K.G. Fletcher is the third book in the Reigning Hearts series. The great thing is this can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I was drawn in by the cover and had not read the synopsis so when I started reading I was unpleasantly surprised to meet the character, Fiona. I really wanted to dislike this character because of her being rich and snapping her fingers to get what she wants. Let me explain, don’t give up because she proved me wrong. She is a good character who is deeper than I expected so she surprised me. I wanted to see where this arrangement with Chris would lead and hoped for a happy ending. Overall, I enjoyed this book and want to go back and catch some of the others in the series.
