A Stellar Affair is the 4th installment of Deryn Pittar’s Future Movers series. Which follows the talented Corban family as they try to keep themselves hidden from the Defence Department.
Stella Corban is James and Sarah’s very talented daughter. She will do anything to keep her family safe, including steering clear of dating normals, which is easy to do until she meets Matt. There is an instant attraction from the moment she meets him. Will she be able to keep her distance? Or will she let her heart rule her decisions?
Matt Saunders is an all round nice guy. He’s polite, he listened to and took on board James’ idea about mining, he has a really good job. There’s just one problem, he’s a normal and hasconnections to the Defence Department. Which would be fine, if he wasn’t interested in Stella. Would Matt turn Stella and her family into the Defence Department for being g-altered? Or will his feelings for Stella stop him?
I feel like a broken record saying this, but I am absolutely loving this series. The way each story is written they are so easy to read, the story flows lovely and there are no gaps. The continuation of the characters – although years ahead and the fact that we get to see more of the characters from the previous books in the series, as well as new ones.
There’s one more part to this series and I know I’ll be sad when it ends.
I would definitely recommend this whole series.
“She’d saved their lives tonight, yet at the same time she’d wrecked every plan he’d dreamed of for their future together.”
I can’t tell you how much I am enjoying this series. Each book is a stand-alone but follows the same Corban family line. The whole family has g-altered genes, but each member has unique talents. There is so much tension trying to keep it all hidden from the Defense Department and avoiding conscription!
Stella Corban steers clear of men. She would never put her family at risk by falling in love with a “normal” guy. They’re just too important to her and she’ll give up her chance at happiness to protect them. Until him. The attraction was instant and she finds it more difficult by the day to deny her feelings. But, he has connections to the Minister of the Defense Department. A relationship with him could put her entire family in the government’s cross-hairs. If he learns of their g-altered status, could she trust him to keep their secret, or will he lead disaster to their doorstep?
Matt Saunders can’t stop thinking about her. Ever since she and her family came to his rescue, she’s been his beautiful distraction. She’s throwing up walls left and right but he’s determined to break them down and make her his. In a split-second, the reason for her hesitation becomes all to clear and he’s faced with the knowledge that she and her family are g-altered. Could newly found information from the Minister of Defense be the key to their happiness? Can she convince her that her and her family’s secret is safe with him? He’s just found her. He’s not going to let her go.
I have loved Stella since she was born!! She’s amazing, and beautiful, and loyal to her family. Her heart is so big and when she loves, she loves with all of it! I know there’s only one more book in this series, and I’ll be sad to see it go. On the flip side, I am so happy that I was able to read it and spend this time with the wonderful Corban family!
