But for her parents sake she gave it a shot, got a job with a prestigious CPA Firm, and gave it her all, but somewhere along the line she lost her way, and lost her job to boot. The moment Brick Callahan discovers Lili amongst some skinny dipping elderly ladies, he can’t help but admire the way his kid sisters best friend has grown into quite a beautiful woman… a very tempting woman! I knew from the synopsis alone, that this was going to be a fun little read, and boy were my instincts spot on! This was my first read from this author, and after devouring this little literary gem, I can say with complete honesty that it won’t be my last visit to this series! The story line totally drew me and had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through! The characters had sizzling chemistry and I loved the banter between them, they had me giggling throughout! If you like outdoorsy alpha males, and feisty female characters with indomitable spirit then this book is right up your alley!! Highly recommend this one, it’s sure to leave you with a smile!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
“A Stardance Summer” by Emily March
I chuckled and I cried and I most assuredly LOVED this story. If you have never read one of Emily March’s Eternity Springs stories you have truly missed an important opportunity to experience goodness in its most precious form. This is a stand alone novel, but it does add a bit of background if you have read the stories of the background characters. I know I have read most if not all of the other stories in this series. I also admit that I do not have perfect recall of every one of those stories.. maybe it is time I started re-reading the whole series. I read this unabridged audiobook story from my CHIRP library. I will revisit this story again.
“A Stardance Summer” (Eternity Springs Book 13) by Emily March is a fantastic read. I loved ‘Brick’ Mark and ‘Lili’ Liliana’s story. This is a wonderful addition to the Eternity Springs series, packed with romance, passion, humor, close friends and family, entertaining characters, small-town life, and more. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Eternity Springs. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, interesting and entertaining characters, close friends and family, small-towns, and series.
A STARDANCE SUMMER #13 in the Eternity Springs series by Emily March. Emily makes me want to live in Eternity Springs…and get my Angel Wings. Brick(Mark) and Lili have known each other since childhood. He was her big brothers best friend and her first crush at nine. They both have their hangups and with the help of Patsy, Celeste and Eternity Springs they work towards a HEA. It was fun toughing base with other Eternity Springs friends… and of course the Callahans…A lot of laughs..a few tears..and loads of fun.
I’ve enjoyed all the Angel’s Rest books. Stardance Summer wasn’t as interesting as the others. It is still a good read. If you are introducing someone new to teh series – make this a later read.
Liliana Howe and Brick Callahan aka Mark Christopher grew up together. Actually, Mark was Lili’s brother, Derek’s best friend. They were older than her and she was always the pesky little sister. Now, Lili is all grown up when Brick spies her in his RV park. Lili’s career is shot because of her boss’ betrayal and she wants some downtime.
Brick had been betrayed by his former long-time girlfriend, Tiffany. He doesn’t do long-term romantic relationships anymore. He won’t date a girl for more than three dates. That way they don’t get all serious about the relationship and he can move on without guilt. Lili is different, though. He san see long-term written all over her and it scares him. She is also his best friend’s little sister. Both are strikes against her in his eyes. Can he learn to trust again? Can Lili figure out her future plans and not have Brick be a part of them? You will just have to read the book to find out.
There were a couple of sex scenes in the book but they weren’t graphic. The language was clean and the story was sweet and had some depth with the secondary characters.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Whenever I want to read something heartwarming, and genuinely romantic, I grab one of Emily March’s books set in Eternity Springs. Which is the reason why I was so delighted to receive an ARC copy of her newest installment of the series called A Stardance Summer
Set in the wonderful town, I would love to call home – Eternity Springs – this novel has exactly everything I have come accustomed to being one the high-quality romance novels by Emily March.
Brick and Lilianna, the two main characters of this book are destined for each other, but neither of them seems to think so. Not that there is no attraction, no, the chemistry between them is deep from the beginning of the story, and in a way started before this novel starts, yet both are affected by their circumstances.
In A Stardance Summer, they come together at a natural pace – like many of Mrs. March’s novels, this one lives within a larger timeframe than a lot of contemporary novels, which allows the chemistry and relationship to build in a more realistic fashion. There is no jumping into the bed on the first or even second time the main characters spent some time together, which is refreshing. Instead, the Author takes her time to build up to the inevitable connection, both emotionally (first), then physically (second).
Speaking of the physical, books in this series, including this one are not graphic when it comes to sex scenes. While this novel is not tame, or clean, it skips the unnecessary extreme details that make some romance novels feel more like they would fit into the erotica genre (or as some might call it “Mommy-Porn”). While I don’t think there is something wrong with a more detailed description, I find it always refreshing to read a novel that can convey the attraction between the main characters without explaining every detail of each and every “encounter”, that occurs.
For those readers who are new to Eternity Spring series, I need to point out that the cast is rather large. There are many well-developed side characters, some of them more in the spotlight than others, but as many of them are not only neighbors but often related, I am often happily wondering how the Author can keep track of all of their details and relationships. Yet, reading this book was like visiting old friends.
It is a stand-alone novel, with an HEA, so there is no true need to read any of the other novels in the series beforehand. But, once you get started reading one, you will – most likely – be hooked, like I was, and want to read all of them – maybe even more than just once.
