A Spoken-For Billionaire’s Fake Fiancee is a story of a young billionaire trying to save companies so their employees do not loose their jobs and benefits as his mother had. One company he acquired was from a bankrupt billionaire. Along with it came a spoiled debutant that got her hooks into this young billionaire that she makes him think he has proposed to her and since they were at a restaurant she jumped up hollering she would marry him and instead of correcting her she takes his credit card and buys a $200,000. engagement ring for herself and spends all the money he had on two credit cards. When he asks her to accompany him on a business trip to get help with a company he has no liquid assets to fix, she refused and tells him to send his assistant to pretend she is his fiancee. The family they go to visit takes them in as family. What could possibly go wrong now?
This was a really fun story to read. I really liked the characters and their kindness and caring. The love story was sweet, clean, with a great ending. Another great book in this series!
I received a complimentary copy of the book. All opinions are my own and are expressed voluntarily.
Be still my heart. This was such a sweet and wonderful story that once I started I started I could not stop until the end!!
Jonas, the 3rd billionaire in this series, is my favorite so far I think. He has such a kind heart, he only wants to help others and that means helping people keep their jobs on some of the deals he has done.
When he is almost broke unless he gets a factory sold, he finds out that the current potential buyer is all about family. He wants Jonas to bring his fiance’ to meet him. Easy peasy? Not when his fiance will not go and suggest he takes his secretary Lily and have her pretend to be his betrothed.
Lily has her own dreams but agrees to go. But worries being in such close quarters with her boss who she was a little attracted to, especially when she found out about his big heart.
Kristen Iten creates characters and storylines that always pull me in and makes them seem real. I truly adored this story and cannot wait to read about Killian, although I have to say Jonas is a favorite!
This is a well-written sweet romance about Jonas, a self-made billionaire, and his personal assistant, Lily. Jonas has an opportunity to save a floundering business but needs an investor to financially back him. The wealthy man who has tentatively agreed to back him wants to meet Jonas and his fiancee face-to-face before signing a contract. The problem? Jonas’s fiancee refuses to go to Texas with him. Jonas is forced to ask Lily to pretend to be his fiancee in order to secure the contract. As in all lies, it spins out of control.
This book has wonderful characterizations and a tight, concise plot. There are obstacles in the way of the HEA ending that have to be resolved and, of course, the real fiancee becomes a problem. I love how this author resolved the problems and achieved the HEA ending for Jonas and Lily. Excellent storytelling!
Jonas needs his fiancée to go with him to close a deal, but his self centered fiancée don’t want to come. So he asks his assistant to pretend to be his fiancée. What could go wrong? A lot, first it won’t be just one day and second their attraction……
I really loved this story. The kindhearted characters are so sweet together. And honestly always wins.
This is a story you want to read!
I think this could be a fun Christmas movie to indulge in with your girlfriends or by yourself. It had a bit of drama, gold digging, two people trying to find their place. Good secondary characters that help the story along nicely. The story has a perfect swoony romance feel. I’m happy to continue on with the series and read what happens to all the friends. There should have a reunion when the series ends kind of like an epilogue for the group. It’d be fun.
This is a really good, clean romance story. I loved the relationship between Jonas & Lily that develops. Anytime there is a “fake” relationship there are complictions that make the story more interesting. Of course there has to be a villian & she is a real duzy along with her rich father. I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary opinion.
This was a fun story to read. Kristen Iten has given us a billionaire that at times you have to wonder how did he manage to become rich and yet have absolutely no sense when it comes to women. You will be torn between wanting to take Jonas by the hand and helping him or yelling at him for allowing Sophia to be a part of his life. Lily is so much a better choice and Jonas is a bit slow on realizing it. I like how Lily quickly rose to the occasion and helped Jonas but also wanted to yell at her for being self sacrificing. A frustrating but very enjoyable story.
A Spoken-for Billionaire’s Fake Fiancee was soooo good!!! Seriously, this series just keeps getting better and better!
This book follows the story of Jonas Weisman, the most kind-hearted billionaire out there, and Lily O’Connor, his secretary, and fake fiancée for a good part of the story. Now, why would she have to play that part? Thanks to Jonas’s real fiancée’s idea, since she couldn’t make a trip that would help him (and his business) get back on track.
Thus, what ensues is both Lily and Jonas developing not-so-fake feelings for each other while opening up about their past in one of the most romantic and exotic places: Fiji! For real, the descriptions are just so lush, beautiful and well done, you’ll almost feel like you’re also there, right along with the characters. And the romance? Is one of the sweetest and swoony-est ever *sigh*
Of course, the road to HEA is never easy, but it’ll be definitely worth it 🙂
I can’t recommend this enough!
PS: I love that this book tells us who the next two Billionaires will be: Killian and Danny. And by the way, I call dibs on Killian 😀
This well-written billionaire romance was a delight to read. Jonas and Lily are very likable characters. I loved that each had made a commitment to a now deceased parent, and both were determined to honor that promise. Andy and Alice are great examples for Jonas and Lily, and even to us readers. Their welcoming ways, their generosity, and forgiveness were encouraging to read about. The only thing that I would have changed about the book would be to make the real fiancee less one-sided; but the way she’s portrayed makes it easy to be all for Jonas and Lily. The plot has twists and turns and moves quickly. The settings range from Chicago, TX, Fiji, and Paris; and the readers gets the feel of each place. So find a comfy place, open up the book, and prepare to enjoy! I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.
