I loved this book. Written really well. Ex Delta Jasper met Rori in France while he was inbetween deployments when he was going to this resturant when he heard gun fire. The police showed up at the same time he went in to see if he could help. That’s how he met Rori. But before he could do more than tend her wound he was called on another assignment. Now 2 yrs later he’s her bodyguard. A lot of threats have been made against her and they are trying to figure out who it is. Lots of action, danger and new beginnings.
This is the story of Jasper, (Raptor) and Aurora, (Rori). I really like this story because of how the meet. When there is an explosion at a cafe in Paris…Raptor is right there and tries to help the victims….first one is Rori. She is severely hurt but he sees her blue eyes as she asks him to check on her family. None survive, she is taken away by ambulance. He is injured in the line of duty. You know how sometimes you meet someone, and they just seem to invade your mind?? Thats what happens to both of them here. I love the strength these two characters show after being at their lowest time in their lives. They seem to feed from each other. Great love story.!!!

A terrorist attack breaks the peace and calm of Paris, unwittingly setting in motion life-changing events for both Aurora Prince and Jasper “Raptor” Ramsey. Two years later their paths cross again, only this time Aurora is the target and Jasper is sent to protect her. A stroke of pure luck or the deliberate intervention of the Universe, either way Jasper is determined to make the most of the opportunity. She’s the one his heart has yearned for since Paris, the one he’s searched for the last two years. First and foremost, he needs to protect the pretty yet stubborn baker while finding out who is trying to kill her. Losing the one woman who has every truly touched his heart is not an option. However, convincing Aurora he’s her happy ending is an emotional minefield, thanks to the horrors of the past. But this former Delta Force Team member is up for the challenge if she’ll giving him even the slightest chance.
Rori is a survivor. She has lost everyone she loved in a terrorist attack and two years later she has followed her dreams (modified from the original plan) and opened a bakery in her home town. Someone is out to hurt her though.
Jasper can’t forget the women he helped rescue two years previously in Paris. He has been looking for her ever since. Fate has him assigned as her bodyguard to protect her from whoever is trying to harm her.
Previously published as Guarding Aurora in Amazon’s Kindle Worlds. There may have been some changes to the original story but it is pretty close from what I remember.
