If there was one thing January Douglas disliked more than spilling coffee on her favorite blouse, it was Christmas. Despite her family’s love of the holiday, she was a self-proclaimed Scrooge. The songs, the decorations, and the forced cheer – they were all nails scratching down a chalkboard to her. When Deckard Spruce barged into her life with his Christmas enthusiasm and a smirk that made … made January weak in the knees, she’d had enough.
One wish on a snowflake was all it took to change everything, but as soon as the damage was done, she knew her hate for the holidays had gone too far.
Could Deckard help her realize that she might not hate Christmas after all?
Maybe one more wish would make everything right.

I’m a sucker for holiday romances, and this one hits the top for me. I loved everything about this book.
The writing was great, but the story itself wasn’t my cup of tea. More like a made for tv movie idea…and I am not a fan of those. Or an adult Grinch.
Deckard was good if not a bit “just there”, but January needed to get over herself. Lots of people have birthdays like that and deal with it. Same with the other event that seemed to shatter her. Grow up and get over it!
Lovely ending though ironic.
Ever hate the Christmas Season so much you wish it never existed? Well that is exactly what January does. She had had received a magic snowflake in a gift for her parents, which was engraved by Deckard. But then Christmas doesn’t exist anywhere in the world or in the history of the world. Deckard askes her to show him what Christmas is and why its important. Can she see the magic and make Christmas exist again?
What a fun holiday read!
January is a newspaper reporter who hates Christmas. When I say hate, that’s putting it mildly. She goes into a store to find the perfect ornament for her parents tree. A tradition that her family does every year. While there, she meets Deckard a Dentist who is helping his grandparents in their shop. When January finds a magical wish making ornament, she wishes Christmas never existed. When she wakes the next day, she finds her wish was granted….
You will love this story, and you will fall in love with January and Deckard
This book was so adorable!!! I’m not usually one go get overly excited for the holidays, but this has such a pure, unbridled love and passion between our two main characters, and of course the love for the Christmas season! This was the perfect romance to get you ready for all things Christmas! 🙂
We have our heroine, January, who is a real Scrooge Mcduff regarding the holiday season. Her entire family and town go all overboard to celebrate the best time of year, but she just wishes she would never have to celebrate the season.
January meets Deckard, who is lending a helping hand to his grandparents during the holidays, and is the epitome of holiday cheer.. which of course is everything she hates. Yet there’s still something about him that makes her melt!
When January makes a wish on a snowflake to make the universe act like Christmas never existed, will she be able to fix her mistake? And will the man who always believes in her make her a believer of what Christmas is all about?
This book was just so, so sweet and had a twist I didn’t see coming! It was just like a hallmark movie and who doesn’t love those during this time of year? If you’re wanting an adorable read that will get you in the mood to celebrate all your blessings, this is the book for you!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
This is just what you need at this time of year. Grab a hot chocolate, some sweets and kick back and re discover the magic of christmas. I really enjoyed a snowflake wish, and finished it in one sitting. Gave me all the festive feels. Recommended.
Renee Harless has created that sweet romance for the holidays. A Holiday insta-love you won’t want to put down.
If you are looking for a great holiday read, you need to add this one to your list.
January hates Christmas. She loves winter, but Christmas – not so much. Deckard is in town for the holidays to help his grandparents out in their store. When they meet, the attraction is instant, but she’s not interested in dating. He’ll be leaving soon anyway.
When a wish on a snowflake ornament changes everything January thought she knew, loved, and hated, she is forced to look at her life and the life of her family differently.
Make sure to grab this book. Deckard has probably become my favorite of Renee’s characters.
