Jonas Schwartz isn’t just good at playing football.
He’s also good at playing hearts, and four years ago, he played mine like it was the easiest game of his life.
Brokenhearted, I ran off to art school, swearing to forget about my one-off secret weekend with the star quarterback.
I’d heard whispers about his injury, but I never expected Jonas to return to our hometown to rehab his knee, and I … to rehab his knee, and I certainly never thought he’d show up on the other side of my door with a pizza in hand.
He looks good. Better than before.
Whatever–I’m over him. I’ve completely moved on.
I just wish my heart would get the memo…
This novella was previously included in the Team Player 2 Anthology. It has been updated to include new chapters and an epilogue.

Slice of Love is a quick, fun, second chance romance with Teagan Hunter’s typical brand of humor and cuteness. Frankie and Jonas have a great connection and the banter is top notch.
I initially read this when it was a short story in the Team Players 2 Anthology but the added content and the epilogue really elevated the story. I enjoyed it so much more.
I adore Teagan Hunter’s writing. Jonas and Frankie’s story is a heartfelt story full of humorous moments that will leave you laughing out loud. I can’t wait for the next addition to the Slice series.
When Teagan Hunter announced that there will be added content to this novella from Team Player 2 anthology to say I was happy is such an understatement. These two made me so happy back in September and once again left me with a HUGE smile on my face because we’ve finally got to see that there is in fact a HEA for these two love birds at the 50-yard line.
I hope and wish we’ll be seeing more of them in the future as cameos because they’re ridiculously cute couple.
I received a complimentary ARC – early release copy of this book in Kindle format from the author for review purposes.
This is really cute story that takes place in the Teagan Hunter world and Slice! Pizza Parlor World. Its a very young story as in Jonas and Frankie knew each other in high school and split up then. They have now in the present gone thru 4 years of college and I guess you can say they run into each other again and that’s how they start to have a connection in this story.
It was my first time reading this story but I love this author and this Slice! series. Jonas is the town good boy who has gone to college and is now in the NFL until he has an injury and is sent home to rehab. To make extra money he becomes a pizza delivery guy and his delivery is at Frankie’s new apartment.
Jonas was forced to give her up in high school but he hoped to find her in college and get her to date him but he never found her and now four years later he gets to knock on her door. But Frankie is so hurt that she doesn’t want to talk to him.
This story is a novella in that it is not a long story. It features a very sweet romance and some really great friends who help these two find their way back together. I loved the story, I just would have loved to have seen more.
The little bit of added content to this glorious slice of heaven was great! It was such a good addition to Slice series . I was not ready for Frankie and Jonas to be over with. I loved how it had classic humor and steamy times to it you expect from her! It was such a good wrap up of Jonas and Frankie. Like seriously made me so happy!
What a wonderful, lighthearted entertaining story!! Loved everything about it! Loved the characters, the banter, the way things ended especially too!! I could read so much more! It also made me hungry what with all the talk of Pizza!! I laughed, I thought both Frankie and Jonas were characters you would definitely want to be friends with! I also really liked her friend Julian, he was a hoot!!What more can I say but read it!!!
I first read this story in the Team Player 2 Anthology but now with added chapters and an epilogue. This was better the second time around just like this second chance at love for Jonas and Frank.
I loved everything about this story; from the witty humor to the romantic second chance. It was everything I love in a great romance. It pulled on the heartstrings and put a great big smile on my face.
