If you like books that revolve around quilt shops you will like this. After a divorce Evelyn decides she needs a change in location and to follow a long lost dream of opening a quilt shop. The story is very well written and the characters are charming in this story. Looking forward to reading the next one.
This is part of Marie Bostwick’s Cobbled Court series. This is a quilt shop based series with wonderfully developed characters. Their lives intertwine and the friendships are genuine. It’s not all about the art of quilting but the friendships that develop and carry us through life’s journey.
I love all of the Marie Bostwick quilting books, I’ve read them all. If you live quilting READ them, they are wonderful! Her characters are amazingly strong women.
This book has real characters and realistic challenges to deal with. The message was heartfelt–we all need each other to thrive and get through the challenges.
I really enjoyed this book. Will read more by this author.
It’s a feel good read. Try it.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer while reading this book!!! So it was very relevant and inspiring for me.
I love all that this author writes
Since I am a quilter, I enjoyed the use of the quilts as a huge part of the story. It has really good character development so you get invested in the characters. Although I think all quilters fantasize about owning a quilt shop this also showed the realities about starting a business!!
A new writer for me – this was a great read.
I enjoyed the story line. At first, I was thinking it was not gonna be one I finished, but, after a few chapters, I was hooked! I read to the end and would look for more!!
Worth reading the whole series.
I love this series! It is so refreshing to have a feel good story and close friendships!
A Single Thread is not my normal go-to book. I’m more of a cozy mystery fan. But I’m a quilter – what can I say! I was hooked from the moment she turned her car north and when she ended up in New Bern, one of my favorite places to visit. I was hooked. I love the way the story progressed, wearing in the characters, watching them change – love stuff.
I follow this author. Always thrilled when she has a new book. Realistic stories of women and the people they love, the problems they face and the lives they lead. Write on!!
This author is my go to books! I’ve read this one at least 3 times!
