Two tortured souls. One chance at survival.
A mysterious illness. No hope of a cure. As death snares her in its icy grip, Mara’s drawn to the water. One last swim. One last chance to feel…free.
Until fate intervenes, leading an injured, dying wolf to her car.
She doesn’t know he’s a man. A werewolf. Or that a fire elemental locked him in a cage and slowly, painfully, tortured him until he … slowly, painfully, tortured him until he hovered on the brink of death.
Caring for the wolf gives her purpose. Even if has to be short-lived.
Until one night when everything changes.
Secrets will be revealed. Destinies changed forever. And Mara? She’s the pawn in a deadly game.
One that just might change the course of the world.
A Shift in the Water is the first book in the Elemental Shifter series. All four books should be read in order, and you’ll be able to binge the entire series on March 23rd!

Uh, wow. I have read a lot of books by this author and therefore didn’t know what to expect by this series. But, Patricia proved to be one hell of an author, that can write different genres without difficulties. This book wraps around Cade and Mara who both have suffered during the Last couple of months and are only hours short of dying. Lukily …
Cool story. What a bomb to be dropped about her family. And wow. Loved her need to help heal and protect Cade while he was injured in wolf. Shows strength and character to help an injured animal. Loved their connection that built while he was wolf then man.

Mara wasn’t feeling well and has found out she has an incurable blood disorder. Only finding relief in the water, she is living what time she has left. She comes across a dying wolf, and her instinct is to save it. Knowing how it feels, …
This is the first book in the Elemental Shifter Series, and a great start to the Series. This werewolf shifter romance is well written, fast-paced, intriguing, emotional, and suspenseful. I loved to follow Cade and Mara in their journey to love. Cade, a werewolf shifter, is handsome, protective, and caring. Mara, an elemental, is strong, …
While A Shift in the Water didn’t have quite the same level of intensity as you would find within any of Patricia Eddy’s military romances, it was no less of an emotional ride. Mara – a neonatal nurse with a mysterious illness – has accepted that death awaits her and does all that she can to enjoy her time left. Cade – a shifter Alpha who’s been …

The 2 main characters are brought together by illness and you see how them being together makes them stronger it is truly beautiful. The …
I really liked this book. I had never read an elemental storyline before and I really enjoyed it. LOVED Cade and Mara!
First, let me say that my reviews on the three books in the series are backwards to the way I read them, as I didn’t pick them up in the order I should have. Luckily, I read #1 and #2 in order, but read the prequel last. 🙂
While I’m not new to reading Patricia D. Eddy’s books, I am relatively new to the paranormal genre in general. This book …
Beware, it is part one of the story which would be okay if you didn’t have to pay $5.99 for the next book. It was a good book not worth $18.00 to get the whole story.
