This contemporary romantic comedy by Lizabeth Scott is the first of the three-book Hearts of Gold series. Each story can be read as a standalone but I know you don’t want to leave a sister out!Rose Gold overheard her boss, the only reason they chose her to represent Royston Oil was because Sheik Rashid had a thing for blondes. Instead of getting angry at their obvious stereotyping she decided to … stereotyping she decided to show them a thing or two. She would get the Sheik’s signature on the oil processing rights by using nothing more than her skills and intelligence.
What Rose hadn’t planned on was Sheik Rashid’s lack of interest in meeting with her. But, she had a plan. He’d canceled on her for the last time. Little did Rose know, but her plan would lead to a night of unrivaled pleasure at the hands of one dreamy Sheik, a bed with handcuffs, and fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks.
The next morning a dazed and horrified Rose fled the palace in secret and flew back home with the processing rights unsigned which would be the least of her problems. It seems she brought back a surprise souvenir from the sheik.
Rose couldn’t stop thinking about him and that night. Now she’s worried about what his reaction will be to her news.

Fantasy romance but cute
This is a great romance story. It has the perfect blend of sexiness, humor, drama and romance with its own unique tidbits. I really like Rose & her sisters, they are a united force of light, very supportive of one another and straight forward in a gentle way as well. The sheik is arrogant & a playboy but that is exactly how I expected him to be, that’s how sheiks are normally portrayed in this genre, its instilled in them as a barrier to protect them from being back-stabbed by jealous fake friends/family that want to take the position as ruler, I like that he is still a good listener, understand and is willing to change. I just love this story, this was a random pick & I have never read anything else by this author but I am so glad I found this. I have been reading this genre several years and this story is now on my short list as one of my favorites.
Predictable but entertaining
Easy to read romance. Predictable.
Loved this book
Had to finish this book in one sitting! So good!
Totally sweet and romantic. Plenty of steam and a baby to boot. Loved this story.
Easy to read. Characters are realistic and could see the business world degrading women.
This is a great book I loved it so much I read the whole series
It was an okay read but I didn’t like the fact that she was ready to settle for her man continuing to sleep with other women.
I like to learn about people of other cultures. This mix is interesting.
Good beach read, even though a bit unrealistic.
A good read. Very interesting book about the expectations and practices of two very different cultures.
I really enjoyed this book, it was very entertaining and easy reading.
I really like this story. However the only reason I chose realistic is because the sheik is pushy and demanding like most men are. Still it was a good story
It was ok, reminded me of a glammed up Harlequin Romance. Quick read.
I enjoyed this take on this culture. that can help the women feel more valued as a person and not property
Enjoyed book not too long characters were entertaining
A new twist to a tried and true story line
Awesome read. Loved every thing about this story.
