From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes a new romance about trading secrets, breaking the rules, and playing for keeps. My name is Ryan Kingston, and I’m a rule follower. I’ve never been in a fistfight. I always obey the speed limit. I don’t get drunk, and I definitely don’t pick up random women at bars.Except the night I found out that my whole existence has been a lie.I got … existence has been a lie.
I got drunk. And picked up a stranger.
Her name was Queenie, and she was everything I’m not: reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. We did shots and traded secrets. And ended up naked at my place.
She left me a thank-you note in the morning and her panties as a parting gift. But no way to contact her.
Six weeks later I’m sitting in the first official team meeting of the season, and there she is. I neglected to mention that I’m the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team.
And Queenie? Turns out she’s the general manager’s daughter.

I am loving this series and all the characters. Helena Hunting is one of my favorite authors. She always makes me laugh and read as fast as I can. I was so excited to get Ryan Kingston’s story.
I love Kingston and Queenie so much. They are a couple you feel like you have always known. Ryan has always followed the rules and never strays. He saw what his brother and sister did with their lives and decided he wants his to be different. When Queenie comes into his life it’s at just the right time. He never thought he would need the girl who works for his dad who also happens to be his boss. The challenge he faces is to get her to see he is worth the risk of breaking the no fraternization policy at work.
I loved this book and can’t recommend it enough. A Secret for a Secret was just what I needed. This book will have you laughing, it is full of angst and swoon worthy moments. If you haven’t started this series yet you need to.
King has been such a fun character to watch evolve over this series. He is so prim and proper, and I loved getting to see a different side of him.
Queenie absolutely broke my heat. She had had so many let downs in her life, and she just needed some goodness to come her way.
These two were a perfect match. They complimented each other so well and broke down each other’s walls.
There was some OM/OW drama, but not enough to make it overwhelming. The drama honesty made me love these characters even more. You always knew where they stood, and their intentions.

I was hooked on this story probably from the first time we met Kingston in this series, ha!
I love Kingston’s personality and how he interacts with his teammates, family and Queenie.
Queenie I think is such a fun character and I love her.
The dialogue was both funny and full of feels.
The King has met his Queen and I’ll tell you, this is my FAVORITE book from the series! Helena Hunting has given us yet another heartwarming, hilarious, and emotional story about finding love with someone who is the calm to your chaos.
Kingston and Queenie could not be more opposite from each other but they both stole my heart. Their relationship was full of surprises, laughs, and moments that just made me swoon. I love how sassy Queenie was, yet how she doubted herself. King is the epitome of the perfect gentlemen, yet a beast during sexy time 😉
I love the relationships that King and Queenie have with their families and their friends. All of the secondary characters brought so much to the table and I truly loved seeing some old favorites! I highly recommend the entire series!
Ryan Kingston is the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team and very good at his job, trying to follow all the rules and not cause any problems, until he has a one night stand with a beautiful woman who leaves before he gets up the next morning. You will not be able to keep your self from falling for this wonderful, romantic, sexy and caring man after you get to know him. King is the ultimate man to have in your life, but will Queenie realize that or keep him in the friend zone?
Queenie has secrets she wants to keep from everyone especially her father who is the General Manger of the team and has made a no dating the players rule, but will King be able to change his mind?
These two characters story absolutely stole my heart. King and Queenie are one of the best couples Helena has come up with. Their secrets throw them together but their friendship blooming into that unbreakable bond of love will give you hope for us all.

A Secret for A Secret is the final book in the All In series, and I loved it!
I have been dying for this book ever since Kingston was first introduced, and I love him even more than I expected. Helena Hunting has given us plenty of drool-worthy hockey players throughout her books, but Ryan Kingston is definitely one of a kind. A milk-loving gentleman with a secret dirty side, he might just be my new favorite. And he was the perfect Yin to Queenie’s Yang! These characters balanced each other out perfectly, and I loved how supportive he was of her throughout the book.
This story is definitely a bit tamer than other Hunting hockey books, but her signature humor still shines with the help of an AMAZING guest star. I love how past characters are weaved into each book, bringing every story together and creating one big, happy family.
Perfectly paced with just the right amount of drama, this is such a fun story and I highly recommend it!
This book should come with a warning label! Most of hers should if I’m being honest. Something like…
Warning: Not intended for public consumption. Side effects may include: laughing uncontrollably and loudly, flushed cheeks, dry mouth, heart eyes and being slightly feverish. You may also experience complete and utter satisfaction. Don’t be alarmed if you experience any of these, as it is perfectly safe and you will return to normal sometime later.
I can’t with King. He’s so adorable, just like I knew he would be! And that mouth! *Insert dreamy sigh* I just knew I’d fall head over heels for this Boy Scout. And Queenie is such a great character too! She really grows into herself, which I loved. They are perfect together, from their names to their chemistry and I couldn’t get enough of this couple. I love love love how we get some of our other favorite couples fix in each new book as well. Helena definitely has done it again. I’ll never get tired of this book world!
WOW!
I love this! I love these characters and the silly, sexy situations they get themselves into. I also love the interactions of the extended families that make these stories stick right to your heart as well as entertain you with lots of giggles and heart.
Kingston is such a perfect gentleman and all American person, athlete, and die-hard milk drinker. Oh, so proper…most of the time…at least until he meets Queenie! Queenie is the polar opposite of Kingston and no matter how hard she tries, there are times that she can’t get out of her own way, some of it not her fault, but then, some of it truly is.
This is a very sweet, hot, romantic story of two people that are incredibly attracted to each other, but the world just gets in their way. The love they have for each other is total and committed. It’s just the people around them get in their business and help to make a total mess of most everything.
You need to read this. I an guarantee you are going to laugh out loud, cringe, and cry, but there’s no doubt, you’re going to love it!
A Secret for a Secret is the third book in the All In series, but can be read as a standalone. If you have read the other books in the series, this one is about Ryan Kingston, who first appeared in Book 2 as Bishop’s best friend. Kingston is the definition of a nice guy. He’s always put together, never loses control, super safe, always makes smart decisions. But, Kingston just found out a shocking family secret and is at a bar drinking alone (not his usual behavior at all), when he meets Queenie. Queenie is the exact opposite of Kingston. She’s a hot mess, making many reckless decisions. But, they end up hitting it off and go home together. She disappears, and 6 weeks later, shows up at the hockey rink working for her Dad, the General Manager of Ryan’s hockey team. He is obviously shocked to find out her real identity. They start pursuing a relationship with each other, with some secrets and tough obstacles in their way. It’s an adorable, sweet sports romance between two very different people and I liked it a lot. The entire series has been great and I would definitely recommend it, especially to hockey fans.

Queenie and Ryan are everything!
Be still my heart, Ryan is a rule-following, hot, sweet, hockey-playing guy who on his one night of meeting someone gets left in the morning. Until he meets her again, now very much aware that the girl who left him on his one-night stand is none other than Queenie, his hockey team general manager’s daughter. She is a little wild, a lot gorgeous, and can’t believe she is seeing Ryan again. These two have chemistry off-the-chart, and while they shouldn’t be together, they can’t help themselves. I love the secrecy of their relationship, and the emotional turmoil they both go through because of it. I love how Ryan worships Queenie, and I love the entire story. Don’t miss this third standalone in the All In series!
Oh man, the good boy, rule follower sure took me by surprise in A Secret for a Secret and I loved every second!
Ryan’s followed the rules his whole life. Never making waves. Following the straight and narrow. Did it because he heard all about the disaster his sister and brother made of their lives—and didn’t want to make the same mistake.
Until he learned just about everything about his life was a lie. And on the night he learned the truth, he met a woman—Queenie—who’d been everything he never knew he needed and wanted. And she’d slipped out of his bed and his life without any way to contact her.
Until he sees her working as her dad’s personal assistant. Her dad, who just happens to be his boss. The general manager of his NHL team. A team with a strict non-fraternization policy.
But that’s not necessarily going to stop Ryan from going after the woman he cannot get out of his mind. Now he just needs to convince her he is worth the risk.
Man, I couldn’t read A Secret for a Secret fast enough to find out what was going to happen between Queenie and Ryan. From their adorably sexy meet-cute through the very last page, I rooted for them to find their happily ever after. And it wasn’t easy—especially when meddling family members get in the way. But, wow, was it worth it! A Secret for a Secret is my new favorite in this excellent All In series!
This is the third book in the All In series and is probably my favorite of the entire series. If you love the rom-com genre, you can always count on this author to deliver. This is Ryan and Queenie’s story and it is a good one! Entertaining, sweet and sexy, and an overall good storyline-everything I’ve come to expect from this author. Just a warning – you will fall in love with King! I voluntarily read and reviewed and ARC for NetGalley.
Okay so seriously, who doesn’t like Helena Hunting’s books… I think every book of this author, I really loved. And I didn’t want it to end. This one was the exact same thing.
I loved Ryan. Rule follower, and just an all around good guy.
Kingston and Queenie met in a bar after both of them had a kind of rough day. After a Secret for a Secret is exchanged, One thing led to another and you know how this story goes. The next day all that was left of Queenie was a thank you note and some really hot memories for him.
Weeks later when the GM introduces his new assistant, well hello girl from the bar… And the what a surprise she’s the GM’s daughter
She couldn’t believe that someone like King would be interested in someone like her. She was a mess, her life is the total opposite of his and he wants to be with her. So she was going to enjoy her time with him. But even though Queenie wanted to be with him, King knew that, he still felt like she was keeping a part of herself from him. But he was going to break her down one wall at a time! But will King be able to stand by her side when her past comes crashing down around them?
I have to say that I didn’t think anyone would be able to compete with Bishop, but… I loved Ryan Kingston… And Queenie was just as awesome. He was exactly what she needed. One being a rule follower and has some questionable OCD dishwashing and overly protective, to a total opposite of him.
Fun, adventurous, sweet and she was just perfect for him. She also had some emotional issues, due to a biatchy and vindictive mother. But i loved that King was there for her and he never let her forget that he was right beside taking on the world with her. Like I said who doesn’t love a Helena Hunting book. Fun, steamy, lol, and some emotional parts and low on the angst scale. What more would you want.
I just love hockey romance stories and this one was a fun one! Ryan “King” Kingston is the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team. King always follows the rules, does what is expected of him, and never crosses the line. When the world that he thought he always knew turns out to be a lie, he decides to go to a bar and get drunk. While there King ends up talking with a woman, Queenie Masterson, someone who is also drinking to forget about her life. King and Queenie hit it off, share their secrets, get drunk and end up back at King’s hitting the sheets. After the best night of his life, King is disappointed that Queenie left without saying goodbye or leaving her number.
Imagine King’s shock when at the first day of practice, who walks into the team meeting but Queenie. It seems she is the new assistant to the team’s GM, Jake. Queenie also happens to be Jake’s daughter! As King starts spending more time helping Queenie out per Jake’s request, the two of them start to develop real feeling for each other. Too bad Jake told all his players that his daughter is off limits!
When both of their pasts come back to haunt them, it will take a lot of trust in each other to get past their issues in order to find their happy ending. But once they do, their story changes into a true fairy tale with a perfect happy ending.
I just adored these characters. What a case of opposites attract! For how straight and narrow King is, Queenie is all chaotic and crazy but they offset each other perfectly. I really loved the journey these two had to go on to get their love story but it was really worth it.
“You may need to set some parameters for me, my queen, so I know how out of control I’m allowed to get here.”
This line seriously made me melt! I will take “my queen” over babe, sweetheart or cupcake any day of the week… the complete reverence Kingston shows Queenie is swoon worthy then throw in how the straight laced boy scout wants to lose control and I need to fan myself!
I was a little worried about how Helena Hunting would make Kingston’s story entertaining and believable, he was a little too straight-laced in the previous book for me. I thought his story might be either boring or he would go down a complete rebellious path and it would be way to out of sync with the character we have come to know… but really I should never have doubted Helena Hunting. Kingston was still the khaki wearing, milk drinking nice guy that was completely endearing… but I absolutely loved how he would slowly lose control when Queenie came into the picture. The chemistry between them was great and they challenged each without trying to change who the other person was. Queenie had some major insecurities and doubts about herself but Kingston showed nothing but devotion from the beginning, he saw and loved all of her! I had a minor moment of wanting to throw down with Kingston’s mom but luckily everything worked out. This book pulled on the heartstrings, had major chemistry, hot sex scenes and the humor we have come to know and love with Helena Hunting’s sports romances (I don’t think I can look at strawberry shakes the same again)!
4.5 Stars
WOW! Helena Hunting out did herself with the surprises in this book! There were so many things I did not see coming and I loved it! I’ve been a big fan of this author for awhile and this one did not disappoint. I really enjoyed these two characters. With names like Queenie and Kingston how do they not belong together??? Ryan Kingston was such a swoony character too. I loved this little quirks, like his khaki pants! But he certainly had some crazy skeletons in his closet. Then there is Queenie. She was a likable character but also had her fare share of skeletons as well! With all those secrets it made for an edge of your seat, entertaining read! The author did a great job writing their story and one I highly recommend.
On a day that your world has literally been blown to pieces, when you feel like your very foundation is crumbling, do you think you can meet the love of your life.
Ryan Kingston (king) is not an impulsive guy. He is organized and meticulous. He is a rule follower. Too many acholic drinks and an impulsive decisions and King is breaking all the rules. King is the starting Goalie for the Seattle’s NHL Team and after a day of coming to term that the women he thought was his sister was actually his mother, he makes the choice to go to a bar and get drunk. At the bar he meets the most beautiful cyclone he has ever seen, Queenie Masterson. After a night filled with drinks and some suggestive memories King wakes up to a post it notes thanking him for a fun night.
Queenie Masterson has felt like failure her whole adult life. She just doesn’t feel like there is much she can do right or that she is capable of. She has failed at so much. So, at age 24 moving back in with her father and working as his assistant is just another reminder oh her faults. Queenie’s dad is the General Manager of Seattle’s NHL Team. Queen has never felt like she was good enough for love, success, or friendship. She is haunted by her past mistakes.
I love Queenie’s spirit. She has an energy of acceptance and vivaciousness that makes her completely lovable. Her self-doubt is part of what makes her approachable and accepting of others. Queenie is super relatable. We have all have choices we made in the past that have made it hard for us to realize our own value. Queenie with King is absolute Checkmate! They complement each other. He is such a steady force with an underlying passion. He is the shot of confidence that Queenie needs to let herself try. Ryan Kingston is rule follower, but Queenie is that wind that helps him push over the line. She helps him loosen up and realize he can have passion and heart.
Helena Hunting does it again! She has this magical way of creating these multidimensional characters. Because of these characters you get these fantastic stories that have so much heart and passion, plus a few laugh out loud moments. I am still laughing about the strawberry incident. I really thought Bishop and Stevie, were going to be my favorites in this serious but I am pretty sure Queenie and King stole my heart. I love how Hunting weaves some of her characters from her other series flawlessly into these stories with out it being a distraction. Miss Lavender Waters might have stolen the show a bit.
This was a 5/5 star read for me. Hunting keeps me coming back for more always! I can’t not wait to see what is next for her. This might be my all time favorite of her Hockey Romances. The story has a couple of twist and turns plus a couple of crazy mothers.
Another great story in this fabulous series! I really enjoyed the story of Queenie & Kingston and definitely loved seeing some favorite characters of mine return in this book 🙂
Ryan Kingston seems to have it all but when his world is turned upside down, he tries to drown his sorrows, something that he has never done before. When he first meets Queenie sparks fly between them and both are trying to forget things going on in their life and they end up having one night together. Weeks later Kingston goes back to work and none other than Queenie turns out to be his manager’s new assistant! Both haven’t really forgotten about that one night even though he can’t remember much, he definitely wants to see if there’s something more between them than just lust at first sight but it’s a tricky situation and they try to keep it platonic but no matter how much they try to keep it on the down low, their attraction towards each other grows every day. But Queenie’s past clashes with her present and both will do whatever it takes to fight for their relationship… even if it takes a lot of work… Will they have a happy ending?…
Kingston plays hockey for the Seattle He is polite, responsible and always a gentlemen.
Shocking family news sends him to a bar to get very drunk. At the bar he meets Queenie who is also there to get very drunk. He ends up taking her home, but is sad to see she is gone in the morning. He feels terrible. He doesn’t do one night stands. When their paths cross again, they are thrown together in circumstances they can’t very well control. The love story between King and Queenie is both hilarious and sweet. He is such a good guy and she is a mess. Perfect match! The story line is great yet the characters steal the show!
I have loved the All In series and couldn’t wait to read it’s conclusion. This book was a great ending to the series. There was the perfect combination of comedy, drama, and feelings. Straight laced King meets his chaotic Queenie and hilarity ensues. I loved the mix of these two characters and the fact that Queenie wasn’t an annoying female lead like so many are in romance novels, she has her issues but she’s definitely not irritating about them. The only issue I had is its the end of the series and I could read these characters forever(especially Bishop from A Favor For a Favor).
