From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes a new romance about trading secrets, breaking the rules, and playing for keeps. My name is Ryan Kingston, and I’m a rule follower. I’ve never been in a fistfight. I always obey the speed limit. I don’t get drunk, and I definitely don’t pick up random women at bars.Except the night I found out that my whole existence has been a lie.I got … existence has been a lie.
I got drunk. And picked up a stranger.
Her name was Queenie, and she was everything I’m not: reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. We did shots and traded secrets. And ended up naked at my place.
She left me a thank-you note in the morning and her panties as a parting gift. But no way to contact her.
Six weeks later I’m sitting in the first official team meeting of the season, and there she is. I neglected to mention that I’m the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team.
And Queenie? Turns out she’s the general manager’s daughter.

Anything by Helena and I stop….drop….and read her book!
Milk, chinos and hockey sums up no hockey player ever….until Knight….. And will this knight find his queen? A messy, whirlwind of a queen!?
Also our dear Helena wets our appetite for her next installment in this world by introducing us to Lavender….don’t mind us withering away as we wait….
Holy Royal Hotness!! 6 Stars!!
When I saw King’s story was next I was like a little girl all giddy and excited.
Ryan Kingston is an NHL Player who has the most gentle manners, doesnt fight, always the calm level headed one of the team.
Queenie is the GM’s daughter and the one woman King can’t avoid. She was raised by her single father and even though he raised her to be an amazing woman, she has a lot of struggles. I did not expect the secret Queenie has been hiding for years, no one did. With King still the bigger most levelheaded man out there, if anyone can help her through her demons it would be him.
As soon as I read the prologue I was hooked!
These two are seriously true soul mates. Talk about chemistry and magnetism.
This was filled with hot scenes, tons of laughter, constant smiles, add a little tension and turned out to be the best in the series for me.
My love for these characters in this series just keeps growing and growing. Rook and Bishop develop a sibling rivalry now that they are brothers in law, that had me busting at the seems in laughter. The other wives Lainey, Vi, and Stevie are still supportive and the best friends any girl could ask for.
This was an amazing read and I highly recommend the audio while reading along (comes with KU) to give you just that perfect touch.
3.5 stars.
Ahh Ryan Kingston really is a sweet southern boy, with manners and charm. For a thirty year old he really blushes a lot! Queenie is very self doubting. They balance each out as he is supportive to her flighty nature.
OMG, how I adored King and Queenie! A Secret for a Secret is the next installment of the All In Series and it reads as a complete standalone. It’s funny and sexy and the hero will make you swoon because he’s one of the sweetest and loving men we’ve seen in a long time. He’s true book boyfriend material and you will fall head over heels in love with him just as Queenie did!
King…..Oh man, I loved him! Ok so his real name is Ryan Kingston but he’s King or Kingston to his friends. He’s the epitome of perfect: sweet, thoughtful, caring, obsessively organized, gorgeous, sexy and a professional hockey player. He all innocent business in the streets….but in the sheets? He’s all animal! I want a King of my own STAT!!! Queenie is the complete opposite. She’s outspoken and funny but kind of a lost soul trying to find herself and figure out where her life should go next. They say opposites attract and in this story, it’s like the Big Bang. These two souls collide unexpectedly and their adventure starts. I loved how both characters brought out the best in each other and strengthened one another. When things went haywire, their support and love were what pulled them through the chaos. And there are definitely moments where these two could’ve imploded! But the characters are strong and beautiful and get the happy ending they so richly deserve.
I ADORED this story and loved getting glimpses at so many of my favorite past characters. Can Lavender be any cuter? Hunting has announced that she will be getting her own story sometime soon and I can’t wait to read more about her! And, I’m dying for Queenie’s dad, Jake to get his own story! Praying he’ll be next in this amazing series! Don’t miss A Secret for a Secret! 5 stars
Appealing combination of hilarious mishaps, genuine feelings and likeable and relatable characters
It’s quite embarrassing when I keep repeating that I am not really into sports romance and then proceed to read all of Helena Hunting’s hockey romances. I have tried sports romances by other authors, thinking this might be a genre I might enjoy, even though I am rather a member of the nerd faction. But so far nothing grabbed me, so I came to the conclusion that it is really Helena Hunting’s narrative voice, the appealing combination of hilarious mishaps, genuine feelings and likeable and relatable characters that draws me in.
Ryan ‘King’ Kingston is not your typical jock; he is a veritable Boy Scout, and not in a derogatory sense, but he just is a genuinely nice and grounded person. Queenie on the other hand is chaos personified, she is beset by self-doubt, feelings of unworthiness and hasn’t found her calling yet. They are perfect for each other, but circumstances and their respective family baggage seem for quite some time to stand in the way of a happy ending. Along the way there are also lots of funny, sweet and embarrasing moments that give the story an overall light-hearted feel. Loved it!
This was a perfectly fine read for me. It’s sweet and sexy and there isn’t anything glaringly wrong. It just didn’t wow me the way some of the other books in the series have.
I swooned hard over Ryan Kingston. The professional hockey goalie is such a nice, straight-laced Boy Scout and I couldn’t wait for Queenie to loosen him up and bring out his naughty side. Queenie is impetuous and Ryan is overly cautious. He’s the calm to her storm. She’s the spice to his sugar. It’s a nice balance and they make a really cute couple.
Some of the side characters are rather one-dimensional and could have added more value to the story if they were just a tad more complex. In particular, the story involving Ryan’s mom and his ex went on too long and fell flat for me. I did enjoy Ryan’s odd relationship with his sister, though, as well as Queenie’s closeness with her dad.
The audiobook is quite good. Stella Blooms nails her depiction of Queenie, giving the character vulnerability and humor, in addition to a touch of sass. Jason Clark’s smooth baritone always makes me melt. He conveys a sense of longing and gentleness that is perfect for Ryan’s character.
Helena did not disappoint with A Secret for A Secret! I loved the interaction between King and Queenie both in and out of the bedroom. I loved the glimpses of former people in previous books and updates. Also, the interaction with other family characters. Now Helena has me impatiently wanting to read Lavendar’s story.
4.5 STARS
OHH how I LOVED Queenie & King! Right from their first encounter sparks were flying between these two and I couldn’t get enough of them!
Kingston is by far the sweetest of all the men in the All In Series. He is a goalie for Seattle’s NHL team. He is completely different type of hockey player than we usually read about in a hockey romance. He is sweet and straight laced but super sexy and swoony all at once. I LOVED that the moment he realizes Queenie is the daughter of the team’s GM it was his mission to gain his approval. It was refreshing instead of the usual sneaking behind his back and keeping their relationship a secret that we’ve seen so many times before.
Queenie is awkward, adorable and quirky and completely Kingston’s opposite. Together they are perfects chaos. There were times when Queenie got a little too much in her head and her insecurities took over but I adored how Kingston handled them and I also understood them given her relationship with her mom and her harsh, cruel words that no one should ever have to hear from a parent.
Queenie’s relationship with Alex and Violet’s daughter Lavender was so special. The way she helps her manage her anxieties through art was absolutely beautiful!
A Secret for a Secret is one of Helena Hunting’s BEST and a top favourite read this year!
Fav quote: “There’s no place I’d rather than the eye of your storm.”

Oh my gosh, I absolutely LOVED A Secret for a Secret! The storyline, the characters, the writing; everything was perfection, and Helena Hunting created a sports romance masterpiece with A Secret for a Secret! King and Queenie’s story was fun, sexy, hilarious, swoon-worthy, and entertaining, and it has hands down been the BEST standalone in the All In series!
I loved King and Queenie’s story. Sports romance is one of my favorite tropes, and when it’s written by Helena Hunting, even better! The plot was fun, engaging, and super entertaining, but had plenty of drama to go around. Even though I’m not a huge drama fan, it didn’t detract from my love of the story. King and Queenie’s romance was a MUST READ, and I was beyond ecstatic with the conclusion to this amazing couple’s story.
King and Queenie were my favorite hero and heroine in the All In series, and I loved them with all my heart. Their personalities were phenomenal and incredibly lovable, and their chemistry together was smoking hot. I loved all of their banter and interactions with each other, and how their relationship progressed throughout. King and Queenie didn’t have it easy by any means, but it was totally worth the journey. King and Queenie have been my favorite couple in the All In series, and their story is not to be missed!
A Secret for a Secret was a sweet, sexy, funny, and swoon-worthy MUST READ standalone sports romance, and I absolutely adored King and Queenie’s story! Helena Hunting did a phenomenal job with A Secret for a Secret and the rest of the All In series, and I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next!
Five Milk stars!!
I absolutely ADORE Helena’s books. You always finish her books with a smile on your face and feeling lighthearted. Not only are books written to perfection but the characters are downright hilarious and this book is no different. I fell in love with Queenie and Kingston. Their story is heartfelt and captivating, sweet and magical.
If you could have one perfect wholesome book boyfriend, it would be Kingston. If you look at the word perfect, is name is right next to it. He’s caring and thoughtful, a fighter and manly, oh, and he’s a dirty talker in bed . He’s too good to be true but I swear he’s perfect.
Queenie is a mess. She doesn’t have her life in order but she’s doing her best to figure it out. She’s strong, passionate, and vulnerable. She’s the perfect opposite match for our boy King. The two together balance each other out, they push each other to be better.
If you want a story you can just fall in love with instantly, this book is for you. Helena, I love you and your books. Please give me more books always
I gobbled up this entire series in a matter of days! A Secret for a Secret was so much more than I could have ever hoped for Ryan Kingston. The depth of his character, love, compassion and all around persona was so refreshing. He is perfect and boy did Queenie land a good one with him! Who knew that King could be hilarious and have such a dirty side to him. Who knew that he was the perfect blend of wholesome bad boy.
Queenie complemented him so well she was the fire to his calm. The storm to his breeze. She was a perfect blend of everything. And the way that King took care of Queenie was epic.
I hope I get more of this world because it stole my heart and my sleep.
Ryan Kingston (aka King) and Queenie Masterson are opposites that is a perfect match for each other. Ryan is the good guy who hardly drinks, has manners and is a gentleman on the outside and hot, sexy hunk in the bedroom. Queenie on the other hand acts before she thinks most of the time. Her father has always been there for her and bails her out of the sticky situation that she gets into sometimes.
When Ryan and Queenie meets at a bar, they are both going through things in their life that are hard for them to deal with and Ryan is thinking about getting drunk. With the help of Queenie, the 2 drinks their misery away and end up at Ryan’s house. Queenie disappears in the morning and Ryan realizes that he never got her contact information so it was a shock to both of them when they meet again during the hockey team’s practice. Ryan is a hockey player on the NHL team and Queenie happens to be the daughter of the general manager!
It’s fun to watch how Ryan and Queenie interact with each other and how Ryan finally asks Queenie’s father to let him date his daughter. As they walk this new path together, things from their past and their family gets in the way. They realize that if they truly love each other, then they can get through anything. And there are a lot of crazy things that come back from their pasts and from their families.
Absolutely loved this one! Ryan “King” Kingston is the goalie for the Seattle NHL team and he is the ultimate rule follower and his world is turned upside down with a family secret and he doesn’t know what to do and goes out of his comfort zone and hits a bar. With drinks set in front of him and an empty seat Queenie sits down. She is having a bad day, well, a bad month, year, yea, pretty much her world has been chaos for a while. What starts out with them exchanging a secret for a secret they ended up back at King’s house for a one-night stand. Queenie disappears the next day and Ryan thinks he will not see her again but he is surprised when at the first team practice there she is and she is not only the GM’s new assistant but his daughter. Oh, and he has declared hands off to his daughter. They try the platonic route for as long as they can but these two have chemistry which cannot be denied. Once they get the blessing of her father what more happen. Oh, just more secrets from the past…Once the King wins his Queen and overcomes all the family drama this one sails to a wonderful happy ending.
Oh my gosh this series has just gotten better and better as it has gone on! I freaking adore both Kingston and Queenie! King is the most unique hockey player I have ever read and I was so excited about that. He is a true gentleman in all ways and he treats queenie just like her namesake. Queenie is quirky and adorable. She has some struggles to work through and I love that King empowers her through it all. He doesn’t do any of it for her, he builds her up and she does it herself. I am obsessed with them and I loved every single page!!
He’s a strait-laced, rule follower with a naughty side.
She’s chaos personified.
Hockey/sports romance
Forbidden romance
King & Queenie are hilarious & soo loveable!
Author Helena Hunting takes milkshakes to a new level.
This book can be read as a standalone but believe me you want to read them all.
These hockey hunks and the ladies they meet are all soo much fun to read.
King is one hot to the rules Hockey Goalie who love his milk and routines but when he meets Queenie, she makes him question if breaking the rules is worth it…
And it soo is!
Sexy, funny, full of emotions, angsty and I loved seeing some of my favorite characters from this series as well as the Pucked series make their appearances.
Queenie is amazing.
She is kind and all over the place when it comes to her love life but meeting King has her feeling things she never thought she could feel before.
Such an awesome hockey romance to keep you tingly with excitement all over.

The third book in the series is the best book for me. I enjoyed the way Helena Hunting delves into
the minds of Ryan Kingston, goalie for the Seattle Hockey team and how he is full of feelings. Showing his vulnerability and also his strengths. Then Queenie, the young woman he meets in
a bar at one of his lowest times in life is not to be outdone she has feelings of inadequacy and does not seem to follow through on any undertakings she starts. Together both broken hearts are brought together from a one night stand. Ryan Kingston is called the boy scout, rule follower and all around great guy. Queenie is the total opposite but as they say they do attract each other.
This story is full of surprising twists and some laugh out loud moments. A great read and highly
recommended.
Another phenomenal addition to the All In series. These characters stole my heart from the very beginning of their journey. I can’t stop swooning over Kingston’s romantic and kindhearted soul; and Queenie is the perfect storm to Kingston’s calm.
I know that when I pick up a Helena Hunting romance, I’m going to fall for her characters. King and Queenie don’t disappoint. I loved this hockey romance! A Secret for a Secret is a sweet and fun opposites attract romance. I couldn’t wait to see who was going to hook up with the good guy Ryan Kingston. I thought King and Queenie were the perfect match. They definitely brought out the best in each other and became even better together.
