Silly and clumsy with too many characters that “just go with it.”
A charming Christmas romance.
Oh dear. What to say …
Another one of these “feisty” females who is, in actually petulant, rude, and spoiled. No concern for her family’s or her host’s safety. Just has to get what she wants. Ugh
But what delighted me most, in the 2 chapters I struggled through, was the character Creath (it rhymes with breath) She tells us this twice in a very few pages. Now I ask you, when you meet someone, and they tell you their name, why on earth would they then add what it rhymes with? You just heard it. You don’t need a pronunciation clue.
Hi. I’m Jane. It rhymes with pain. And no. It was clearly not the author trying to create a humor. She chose an odd name, and wanted to ensure the reader knew how to pronounce it. Doubly ensure. Maybe triply, but I gave up at this point.
Unrealistic, the main character was dumb, manipulative
Not my favorite, probably due to the time period of the story.
I didn’t finish it.
A little slow getting into the plot
It wasn’t a bad read, but I did not like the main character. I found her annoying. She did not grow on me like she supposedly did to her love interest. It was hard reading the story when I just wanted to kick the woman out in the snow!
