How do you tell your one night stand he’s a daddy?
A second chance with a billionaire?
Not for me. Nope. No thank you.
Am I crazy to turn down a man as hot and rich as him?
Maybe.
But we can’t be together.
Not when I’ve kept a secret like this one for the past ten years.
That night we spent tangled up in the sheets together at the heli skiing lodge changed my life forever.
Now, the man I … skiing lodge changed my life forever.
Now, the man I thought I’d never see again is sitting across from me at the bargaining table – and it’s my job to destroy him.
My simple small-town life just got really complicated…
A Secret Chance is book 4 in the Chance Rapids Series but can be read as a standalone.
If flannel shirts, steamy second chances, evil developers, and small town charm are your jam, you’re going to love the town of Chance Rapids.

This book was just OK for me. It was super slow and took until 86% into the book for anything to happen and the ending was horribly rushed.
For a single mum/secret baby book the mother and child didn’t have much of a connection and barely interacted.
I was disappointed with this book.
Once I started reading I could not put this book down until I finished it! The fact of two people working on opposite sides of a small town issue – one from the small town and the other representing a big corporation – caused significant tension. Add to that the had had a one night stand 10yrs ago and the result was a pregnancy which the father knew nothing about. Add to that the fact that they still had feelings for each other and off-the-chart sexual chemistry. This was a hot story that grabbed you and didn’t let go!

I liked this book overall. It was good, the characters were entertaining, some scenes were very funny. I wish that there was more information provided about the past, that bit was missing from the story.
Oh, I loved it. I was hoping as I read that Baxter and Lauren could solve their differences and reconcile. There seemed to be so many obstacles in the way of their happy ever after. I highly recommend A Secret Chance by A. J. Wynter.
it was a real pleasure to once again visit in Chance Rapids and to move through the lives of the inhabitants almost as if they are old friends. Ms Wynter has delivered another well written and entertaining tale. Can’t wait for the next episode in the series!
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love second chance stories – Lauren met Brock/Baxter ten years ago. Now he’s in town again and their paths cross. He knows right away that she’s the woman he spent a night with all those years ago but she is unaware since his name is different and so is his appearance. They reconnect although on opposing sides of a development his father’s company wants to bring to the town. This was a good story and a quick read!
I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.
Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

A second chance after ten years.
Lauren and Brock had a one night stand and the next morning sage ran away. She didn’t think she’d see him again but ten years later he comes to her small town with a plan to chance it. Lauren never thought she’d see him again but it her job to get him to forget his plans and leave. Brock has thought about that night often and is pleased to see her again. With the attraction still there will they figure out his deal or not. Plus she has a secret from that night ten years ago, will she tell him? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
