From the #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Debbie Macomber comes a beautiful repackage of the classic novel that started it all.Wishes for love bring hope from above.Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy—three willing but sometimes wayward angels—are each given someone’s prayer to answer . . .Shirley: She’s sent to help nine-year-old Timmy Potter, who longs for a new father. And although … new father. And although his mother, Jody, has vowed never to trust any man, Shirley is determined to help her love again.
Goodness: She knows Monica Fischer longs for a husband and home of her own, but the young woman has practically given up on finding the right man to stand by her side . . . until Goodness steps in to help.
Mercy: Can Mercy bring hope back into Leah Lundberg’s life? This maternity nurse desperately wants a child to fill up the home she’s made with her husband, Andrew.
But there’s just one catch: Each angel must teach her charge a memorable lesson before the prayer can be granted . . .

the book is silly and has some “scenes” I did not like or feel were appropriate. I am sorry but I just can not recommend it .
Putting three stories into one book really didn’t do justice to any one of the stories and they were very formulaic.
Another great holiday story by Debbie Mccomber!
Enjoyed it!
I enjoyed it with its whimsical twists and turns! A good read from beginning to end!
Good Christmas read
I love all Debbie Macomber books. The Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy characters are awesome and whimsical. Love them!
Really wonderful story about love and family. A fabulous red for Christmas!
I read this in two days. Very quick read and a feel good story.
Nice for the season but it bounces around a lot. You have to keep up! However, the ending leaves you with a warm cocoa by the fire feeling!
Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are not your typical angels, but their stories are pure Macomber -light, cheerful and eminently readable. Light reading during a dark time.
The story would have been good without the angels, but I get it that at Christmas time stories with angels are appealing. In reality, angels are not cute, bumbling and full of mischief, but I did enjoy the book.
This is a fun Christmas romance.
I love the antics of the three angels. They are so interested in things here on earth that they can get themselves into trouble. At the same time they seem to not really understand all the nuances of human beings. The way they work together and try to help each other with their assignments is wonderful.
I really …
Macombers books are a delight. Love the three angels!!
